"What are you saying, Xavier? Is the Alpha trying to trick me?" I shouted, clenching my fists.

"No, I am talking the truth, Charlene. I can't lie," Xavier replied, taking a step forward towards me. His gaze locked into mine with a sincere and determined look.

"If I may be honest, the Alpha's memories aren't really the only ones that he has. The ones that are important to him..."

"No!" A tear fell from my eye, followed by a series of coughs and wheezes until I collapsed.

I was too weak to stay standing on my feet anymore, so I sank onto my knees in order to prevent myself from falling. I was breathing heavily while Xavier rushed to my side.
