Nathan was crushed. Never did he think that Brooke would outrightly reject him so blatantly. Brooke didn’t even say anything apart from telling him that she was sorry. What did that mean? Was she sorry that she ran out on Nathan that day? Was she sorry that she never called back? Was she sorry that she yelled at Nathan, accusing him of horrible things? Or was she sorry because she didn’t reciprocate Nathan’s feelings?

The last thought was unbearable to him. Because he knew in his heart that Brooke loved him. Yet there was no answer as to why did Brooke run away once again?
