59 Not Prince Charming

I kept an eye on Laila, never looking away from her. After she showered, she returned to the room in her towel, waiting for the dress I had instructed the maids to bring.

I could tell she was hiding something. She held the towel to her chest, afraid that I might see something. It was normal for women to be nervous around me, especially a suspect like her.

I ignored her discomfort.

When the maid brought the dress, I noticed Laila contemplating wearing it in my presence.

I had seen a lot of girls naked, so there was really nothing to it. I stared at her, looking rather bored as she held the dress with bony fingers. Her hand was shaking. One thing was obvious: food was definitely limited where they were coming from.

"Contemplating seducing me?" I asked, and her cheeks reddened with embarrassment. I guess she didn't have it in her after all.

"I don't have all day. You need help wearing that, or are you just wasting my time for nothing?" I asked her, and she nodded.
