Morgen's voice was croaky as he stared at his father, his head was still reeling in disbelief, he stared at the older man, repulsion at what he had seen earlier clouding his gaze. 

His father was one of the heads of the council, he had always been power-hungry but never in his wildest imagination had Morgen thought that he would stoop to such an extent.

Then Baden had made that request,  one he had thought of turning down but had given in at the end,  there had also been no time to hesitate. 

After all,  he was still his father, in the woods,  he had covered up for him, his father's rotten flesh had still been exposed  Only a part of his face had been healed, there would have been no other evidence needed if Allanon had seen him.
