Chapter five

The recent deaths has been so strange.

It was the result of some dark forbidden magic .

That could explain why the bodies turned dark and rotten just seconds after their deaths. 

He stared at the most recent one, worms were already filling up the rotten flesh .

The murderer could only be a member of the royal clan, they were none who could have possessed such powerful magic except from their royal family .

It could be anyone...Perhaps one of his cousins or uncle? 

He would have to find the source and put an end to it. 

Allanon made his way through the dark forest , he didn't understand why he was going in that direction, it was as if some spell of attraction was pulling him deeper into the woods but there was nothing except from the thick trees surrounding him.

A faint wind caressed his face and he walked to a stop.
