Arianna's POV

“Damien!” I gritted angrily.

“Whay is he doing here?” Celine stood up angrily, her fists clenched tightly as she glared at him.

“Easy… easy. I've not come here to fight,” he said, slowly inching towards me as he got down from his horse.

“Then why are you here?” I asked angrily, my voice echoing with so much grief and pain.

Setting my eyes on him reminded me of the pain I've been passing through.

I threw my mind back to the humiliation I was made to face before the whole pack.

“Shoukd I rip his limbs apart?” Celine growled angrily.

“Just leave us. I'll be fine. Let me hear hom speak,” I urged.

“Arianna…”

“Just give me some space,” I demanded firmly.

“Alright,” she said as she took a few steps away, allowing me some space alone with Damien.

Damien was still meekly poised and inching closer to me, subtly putting each foot in front of the other.

“I suggest you stop right there. Don't come any further,” I declared, taking receding steps away from him.

“It's alright, Arianna. I'm just here to explain things to you. I never meant for things to end that way between us. My hands were tied,” he said softly.

Glaring at his eyes, all I could do was reminisce in the sweet moments we spent together.

I just can't believe he mustered enough courage to do such to me out there.

I guess there's nothing I can do but accept reality.

“You haven't answered my question. Why are you here, Damien?” I roared angrily, slowly losing my temper.

“I just told you. I need to talk to you. I want you to come back to me,” he said.

My eyebrows furrowed slightly as I took a closer look at him.

“Can you listen to yourself speak?”

“Of course I can, Arianna. I know I hurt you. But I feel we can convince my mother together,” he replied.

“Convince your mother? You must be a clown, or you must think of me as a fool,” I scoffed.

“I'm serious, Arianna. I still love you so much. I haven't slept a blink since you left,” he said, his eyes beaming with so much grief.

“How do you expect me to believe you? I mean, have you sat to think deeply and remember what transpired that night?”

At this point, it was hard to believe that this was coming from Damien.

It wasn't making any sense that he rejected me, and he's back now to ask me back into his life.

“Do you remember how we both promised not to leave each other,” he said, sparking memories in my head.

But I quickly shook them off, willing to move past this phase of my life.

“Don't you dare play that card. You broke that promise. You sabotaged everything we built together,” I snapped angrily.

“But we can build it again. We still have the time to rewrite fate,” he said, stretching his right arm out to receive my hand.

“Rewrite fate? You must be a clown,” I scoffed. “I will be the one to write my own fate. You can't tell me the path I need to walk.”

“Come on, Arianna. I'm sorry. We were perfect together,” he pleaded.

“Get out, Damien. You never knew my worth, and you never will. It can't be that hard to accept the reality of your own decision,” I replied.

“Arianna please. I still love you so much. You can't let my mother ruin us,” he pleaded, tears slowly clouding up in his eyes.

“Your mother? Don't put the blame on the old woman. You were the Alpha that stood before your pack and rejected me. She wasn't the one who rejected me. You did!” I yelled angrily.

All I could feel while staring at him was rage.

“I'm sorry, Arianna. Please, forgive me,” he pleaded, going down on both knees.

“I can't. I can't do this.” I kept my eyes away from him.

“Please, Arianna. I was a coward, but not anymore,” he pleaded.

“Celine, please make him leave,” tears slowly trailed down my eyes as I turned my back on him.

He immediately rushed to me, grabbing me tightly as he kept begging.

But I immediately forced him off my body as Celine dragged him away, allowing his body to rub against the mud.

“You heard her. You have to leave. Get on that horse and run along quickly,” Celine ordered, her voice echoing with so much command.

Realising all hope was lost, Damien went on and climbed his horse, his eyes still locked onto me as he somehow clutched into the hope that I would change my mind.

But that wasn't going to happen. I might have been a fool, but not this time.

“I'll never give up on winning you back!” He yelled as he turned his horse and left.

“Let's get inside,” Celine urged, slowly wrapping her arms around me as we both walked back into the house.

The birds chirped beautifully, signalling to the wonderful rising of the sun as I was already awake and ready for the day.

But today wasn't going to be like other days.

I had come up with a decision, and I wasn't going back on it.

I packed up my bag and quickly headed out through the door, determined to find a new path for myself.

I was done sitting back and enjoying my comfort. It was time to walk down a path that wound pushed me towards building strength.

With my bag on my back, I took one last look at the house, letting out a smile as I headed out, ready for the journey ahead.

I knew there was no coming back from my decision, and somehow, I wasn't phased by whatever lies ahead of me.

All I wanted was not to be seen as some weak Omega wolf. I was tired of being pushed around like I had no say.

“Where do

you think you're going, Arianna?” Celine yelled, jumping out through the door.

I quickly froze at the spot, slamming my hand against my head as I let out a deep grunt.

  • The Alpha's Last Chance    CHAPTER 72: Walked right into it.

Celine's POVRiding through the streets of Mystic Falls, something felt really off about the environment. Everything seemed to have changed from the way I left it before I journeyed off from this city. The witches who I had once given hope looked like their hopes were taken away. Soldiers littered the streets like it was a war, and none of them kept eye contact with me. They all looked away from my eyes, making sure their eyes weren't going to meet with mine. At this point, there's no doubt that there's something wrong. But there's only one way to find out. “Something seems off about this place.” Luckily, Hale notices it as well. I take a deep breath. “I really hope it's not what I'm thinking about.”“What are you thinking about?” “Maybe I made a mistake leaving Mystic Falls in the first place.” I don't feel Alpha Damien connected to me anymore. That's giving me more reason to doubt everything around me. What if Vincent failed? I strike the horse, racing faster towards t

  • The Alpha's Last Chance    CHAPTER 71: Mirror of Doubt

Arianna's POV I'd like to watch her do her best to show me how Celine is behind everything. Celine doesn't even have powers. Yes, she's a witch but she's entirely empty. She doesn't have magic or whatever so how can she possibly command troops to attack me. Theresa stands, grabbing my hand gently as she walks out of the room, leading me to her basement. “What do you want to show me?” “Patience, Arianna. You asked for this. I'm only about to show you what you asked to see.” No matter what she shows me, I don't think I would be able to believe her. The unveils an old mirror right in the centre of the basement. “Look into the mirror.” “I'm just seeing myself.” “Look closer, Arianna. Look closer.” My gaze narrows, taking a deeper look at the mirror. Slowly, my reflection suddenly disappears and then Mystic Falls castle suddenly appears on it. I startle, jerking back immediately. “What's going on?” She smiles gently. “That's Mystic Falls castle. Surrounded by

  • The Alpha's Last Chance    CHAPTER 70: Denial

Arianna's POVTheresa calling me all of a sudden to have a discussion with me is something I didn't see coming. I'm pretty nervous to hear what she has to say. I take a seat right next to her, waiting for her to come out of her meditation state. It's also weird that she called me while she was in this state. This woman is really giving me the creeps, and I must commend her aura as well. It's way above the chart. Just look at the way she noticed me walking inside, and— I need to focus. Focus, Arianna. You're definitely here to talk about something very important. You shouldn't be messing around right now. Finally, she opens her eyes, turning her gaze towards me. “How do you like my house?” She smiles, making me feel a warm sense of welcome around her. “Thank you very much for your hospitality.” “Don't mention. You deserve even more than I can give.” “Why did you call me?” She smiles. “You're just like your mother. You always want to jump straight to the point without wasti

  • The Alpha's Last Chance    CHAPTER 69: The safer side.

Arianna's POVI'm finding it hard to believe that Ralph is speaking from his right senses. How does he want me to believe that somebody I literally grew up with throughout my whole life would want to hurt me all of a sudden? “Ralph, I'm you must be stressed. That should explain why you're talking like this.”He shakes his head gently and then exhales heavily. “I'm sure it will be hard for you to believe. It's a shame that I can't prove it to you.” He's still going about the same subject. “I'd love for us to drop this topic. Let's talk about something else.” He clears his throat. “What do you want us to talk about?” Well, I've been meaning to talk about our stay here. From the look of things, it seems like we're going to be out here for a pretty long time. I love it out here anyway, but sometimes I wonder if my grandmother is doing alright over there. “How long are we going to stay in this realm?” I know that question is coming too soon. But I'm already feeling uncomfortable

  • The Alpha's Last Chance    CHAPTER 68 : Unbelievable Secrets

Arianna's POVWhat's going on inside there? My heart races with tremendous fear, and the night slowly draws to an end, but yet there's no sign that this fight is going to end. The whole house literally crumbles under the weight of the magic inside there. It just looks like the whole thing is going to fall apart. But Xavier? He looks rather calm and reserved. From his demeanour, he looks rather convinced that this whole thing will end in our favour. But I don't feel that way. My insides feel turned over completely, and he races with throbbing fear. My palms already feel cold, and the pressure of blood pumping through my veins is causing me to sweat profusely. Suddenly, in the midst of the whole tension and the troubled heart, Ralph and Theressa both walk out from the burning building. I instinctively rush to Ralkh, hugging him tightly. But I snap out of the moment immediately and pull away from him. “Somebody actually missed me.” “That's totally wrong. I was only worried tha

Celine's POVHale knocks on the door, hoping to get a response. “Are you sure he's inside?” “Of course I am. Just relax and let me do the thinking.” “Fine. You can have it your way.” Standing outside here, I must confess, it seems like the man isn't home at all. But just when I had finally given up hope, the lock clicks and the door opens. His expression quickly turns into fright immediately he sets his eyes on her. “How are you doing, my old friend?” Hale smirks as she casually moves hom out of the way, walking into the house like she owned it. I follow up behind her because I don't want to seem too left out. “I…I wasn't expecting you, Hale.” he stutters, trying as much as he can to keep his cool. “Yes. I never knew I needed you until last night.” His brows furrow as he glares at her, puzzled and trying to understand the whole scenario. “What do you want from me?” Hale smirks. “Relax, hun. Have you forgotten the sweet moments we shared together.” “Don't start with this,
