Dating and Dumping the Esports Goddess I Bankrolled

Abigail scoffed when she heard that. "Benjamin, who are you trying to fool? You think you can fire me? You're not worthy!"With that, she got into her car, slammed the gas, and sped off. At the same time, Troy's voice came through the receiver. "Mr. Lamber, it's not that I don't want to fire her, but she just renewed her contract for another five years. "Whoever breaches it would owe 30 million dollars in damages. Even if the two of you have broken up, we can't let the organization go under."When I first met Abigail, she had been nothing more than an ordinary esports streamer.Back then, I had secretly invested in this struggling esports organization to support her dream. I had gotten them to sign her, helped build a team around her, and sent her competing in tournaments worldwide. Later, Abigail became a world champion, just as she had always wanted. I'd thought we would get married. But now, everything changed.I'd devoted three years of my life to her. Yet, in her eyes, I

I'd never met anyone as unreasonable as Abigail. "Are you out of your damn mind?" I snapped. "We already broke up. Whoever I date is none of your business! You should worry about keeping your legs shut, you worthless piece of garbage!"With that, I took Savannah's hand and walked away without so much as a backward glance.Once we stepped out of the karaoke bar, I apologized to Savannah. I sighed. "Sorry. I didn't mean for you to witness something so embarrassing. Having an ex like her feels like a permanent black mark against me."Savannah simply shook her head and smiled. "You're a good man. She's the one who didn't know what she had."We smiled at each other. Then, I took Savannah out to supper at a nearby restaurant, and we spent the meal reminiscing about our high school days. We both had a great time. By the end of it, the unpleasant encounter had completely slipped my mind. After that, Savannah drove me back to my hotel, and before we said goodbye, we exchanged cont

Abigail and Nolan shot me smug looks. They radiated absolute confidence, clearly believing they had this lawsuit in the bag. In fact, they were so certain that they hadn't even bothered hiring an attorney and chose to represent themselves. Maybe they thought having their fans in the courtroom would guarantee them a win. But that confidence lasted only until Savannah rose to her feet and laid out the evidence of Abigail's tax fraud for everyone to see. "Our contract with Abigail Zimmerman clearly stated that she was prohibited from engaging in any illegal activity that could damage the organization's reputation. Any violation of that clause constituted grounds for immediate termination."Savannah went on, "To protect the organization's reputation, she was dismissed because of her drug use. Her actions also violated the terms of her contract, so we are seeking 30 million dollars in damages for breach of contract."As soon as her words settled, the fans who had been cheering loudl

As I listened to Abigail pour her heart out, all I could think was how utterly ridiculous it was.Savannah furrowed her brow. Suddenly, she reached out, took my hand, and said coolly, "I've never met anyone as disgusting as you. Do you even realize what you've done? What makes you think you have the right to come back and go after Benjamin?"But the moment Abigail noticed our clasped hands, she broke down. "Benjamin Lambert! Who is she?" she roared, pointing at Savannah and me. "You said I was the only one! So, who is she?"Abigail grabbed my hand and pleaded, "Break up with her and come back to me, okay? I swear I don't care about your past. I really don't."I let out a dry laugh and shook her off without the slightest hesitation. "You don't care? Since when did your opinion matter? I haven't even held your past against you, yet you're already judging mine? Have you no shame?"I told you, Abigail. People who take sincerity for granted always end up alone. You brought this on
