Influencer Novels & Stories

Bron's face turned red with anger, her expensive jewellery clinking as she gestured wildly. "How dare you imply that my help is a publicity stunt?!" she exclaimed. "I am Bron, the most sought-after influencer in the industry! You should be grateful for my attention and generosity." "Do you know how many big companies seek to work with me?!" She demanded arrogantly.

“I will still air my views before it's my money, it's my time and it's my reputation!” “Bill, please continue the meeting”. I instructed Bill who nodded before continuing the presentation. I don't have the time to talk to lunatics like him. “In my opinion, hiring influencers will bring in more commoners and we don't need that. We need to brainstorm and find a possible way of getting only the rich and famous on board. Only the rich and famous, I repeat”. He said, wagging his finger in the air. “Good thinking, Bill. I'm happy my resources aren't bring wasted on you”

Junnev shrugs like I knew he would, he only lives for food, football, and our brotherhood, but Malakai's eyeballs nearly bulge out of his skull. “Of course, I've heard of them, I know the KMJ Gone Girls. They're the top-rated influencers in America. They set trends for other influencers doing the craziest stuff you'd ever see a girl do. They once beat up an armed man who'd tried to rob the grocery store they were using for their weekly post. How have you NOT heard of them?” He asks with a confused frown. Malakai's a tech wiz. He's either surfing the net, hacking the net, or hacking through pussy.

Working as a mortuary assistant in a major city like Los Angeles has got its perks. We get sent all sorts of bodies. There are the regular nobodies. And then, there are the occasional celebrities. Business moguls. Influencer types. Today, we get an influencer. Helena Carter. She went viral a few years ago. Amassed over a million followers on i*******m. Garnered dozens of endorsement deals. Now, she’s nothing more than a corpse, waiting to be prepped for the fridge.

I ordered a bouquet of sunflowers with a note to be delivered to Rosemary's office ASAP. By noon, I received a text from Elvis, saying that the first two tasks were done. Instead of going to have lunch, I went back to the phone booth to check the drama online. The influencer hired was a public commentator with over two million followers. Donning a bob cut and a no-nonsense expression, she stared right at the camera and began, "Hey, guys. Today, we will be steering off our current series. Permit me to tell you a story..."

She is showing me a full paragraph of text on a specific topic. "Is that the project?" I probe, already knowing the answer. "Yup!" She replies, a big smile is plastered on her face. "My partner sent it over, and he has written so much about the topic. It is insane!" “How can someone be an I*******m influencer, hot, rich and intelligent?” She gushes. My eyelids drop, looking away from her phone screen. “That is great, I guess," I mutter under my breath.

“Don’t forget, I’m number one on Durin's influencer list! Without me, you’ll suffer huge losses!” However, the woman on the other side of the phone was indifferent. “Miss Malone, I think you have misunderstood. We at Durin can raise whoever we want on our platform.” “After you’re gone, we can just raise another influencer.” “If the CEO hadn’t insisted on raising you, do you really think you could become the number one influencer with your bland appearance?” “Don’t you have any self-awareness?” Beep, beep, beep… The other party hung up immediately after.

“Then I’ll follow you instead.” “Don’t bother. I don’t even post frequently and only have about one thousand followers.” “I’ll tell my friends to follow you. They have massive platforms.” “I don’t care. Being an influencer is not my thing.” “It’s fine.” I opened the I*******m app and searched for her name: “Maverick Bates.” I hit the follow button, and then I went to check her last post, which was dated last week.

The fuming lady from the other side of the phone spoke with anger intensity in her voice. "Oh, so you can shout here and be nasty while you act so goody-goody on social media? You were so confident days ago. You said you could do it so well. You messed it up and you are asking to be what? Paid?" Anna demanded angrily from the influencer that she was talking to, as she took her seat on her couch and grabbed the glass of whiskey she had on the table.

“First of all, only close friends call Char, and secondly, being an influencer is way harder than people make it out to be.” “Right.” He snorts into his drink and it takes all physical restraint not to launch and slap his pretty face. “Do you need to take pictures of these too? Perhaps take pictures and think of a perfect cute caption? Don’t worry; I’ll pose if you ask me too.” My face is red; I can’t tell if it is from humiliation or anger. How dare this guy just sit here and question my career in front of my face? I have always wanted to be an influencer, not because I like attention, but because I wanted to make someone feel
