Chapter Forty One

My head was pounding as I looked around. I was in some sort of cell and I started to panic. The last thing I remembered was I was running in for forest. Something must have gone wrong. But why didn’t I remember anything? I heard footsteps approaching and keys jingled before my cell door opened revealing three vampires glaring at me. One looked slightly familiar as I started to remember earlier events.

The one I didn't recognize stepped forward. He had a very powerful aura around him, he must be their leader. I gulped. I didn’t want to do this anymore. As soon as I told them where Rebecca was they were going to kill me, I was sure of it.

“Don’t be scared little wolf, we’re here to help you.” His voice was mesmerizing and instantly calmed me. Kind, but somehow cold at the same time. “It is my understanding that you would like Rebecca to leave your pack, I want the same thing. We are on the same side, we can help each other.”
