Chapter Forty

Lilly POV

It wasn’t fair that all the witnesses they brought were against me. But then again, I had no friends left at the shadow mountain pack. Patrick was literally the only person who would have vouched for me, but even he had eventually betrayed my trust. Even my own parents hadn’t shown up. Just the wolves in my transport patrol were there. While they agreed with me that Ivan was evil, they were a far cry from being my friends.

I waited nervously as the elders debated. Surely they would see my side, they would understand. I told them everything right from the beginning. How Johnny and I were meant to be, but how he had been manipulated and brainwashed. How Ivan and Rebecca were imposters trying to take over my home, and wipe out our race pack by pack. That stabbing Patrick had been an accident.
