Chapter Nine

“Wake up Bex, we’re home.” I whispered gently into her ear. She stirred blinking away the bright morning sun. She smiled and looked around the mountain scenery.

“It’s beautiful!”

“This is only a small part of it, and it’s all yours!”

She gave me a hug. As we got out of the plane, Aiden, my beta approached. His curly brown hair blowing in the wind.

“Good to see you Alpha!” He greeted me before turning to Bex. “Luna, it’s an honor to welcome you here to the Shadow Mountain pack.” He turned to Ivan. “It’s a pleasure having you here as well Ivan. If you need anything don’t hesitate to find me alright?”

“Thank you.” Ivan was stiff as a board. I didn’t blame him. He was deep in enemy territory, but I meant what I said. He was now family. He would feel safe here eventually. Once he was settled I planned to introduce him to the higher ranking members of the pack first and slowly ease him into pack life. I couldn't imagine what he must be going through.
