Silently I fell in darkness until I hit the ground with a hard crash, after falling for what seemed like forever. I could still feel where Rhett had gripped my hand tightly and from the force of gravity pulling me down, my hand was ripped from his.

I rubbed my shoulder and thigh which had taken the bulk of my weight when I hit the ground, scrambling to stand on two feet. There was a pulse in the air and that strange voice that seemed drowned out.

“Rhett?” I call out into the darkness.

I wait for a response and receive none. My eyes slowly begin to adjust in the dark and I can see I’m in a round cave, surrounded by tunnels and strange small holes. “Oliver?” I tried the rogue’s name.

Still no answer. I look up from where I fell only to see a jagged ceiling of rocks. “What the…” I say to myself confused.

The thrumming pulse feels closer, heavier. I knew I couldn’t stay here. I needed to find Rhett. I look at the tunnels that lead to goddess knows where and, on a whim, I pick

The plot thickens. What oh what could Rhett be getting himself into and can Leneve get herself out of a sticky situation? What else could Rhett face that is considered his demons?
