Scarlet POV
The drive to his pack was complete silence. Neither of us spoke and neither of us was happy about the living arrangements. I would rather annoy him than bring danger to Brittany and the new baby. If anything happened to them, I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself.

Scarlet POV Forcing my eyes to open was the hardest thing I could have possibly ever done. Come on, Scarlet, wake up! I need to get up! Blinking a few more times, I assessed my surroundings. The metal cot I was on was old, dirty and stained. No sheets on the mattress but definitely mice poop. The only sore of light was a window that let in the moonlight. I tried to sit up and was instantly met with searing pain. Pain down my back, head and chest. It took the breath right out of me. Laying there for a few minutes to get the courage to try again, I thought about all the stuff he will do to me if I don’t move. That encouraged me enough to swing my legs off to the side and sit up. Jaxson POV Slowly, the world started appearing in front of me. My hearing came back first and I could hear two people whispering. Next, came my sense of touch and the throbbing ache in my head. I also felt my hands being held down by something. Trying out my eyesight, I started blinking till I got used to the light. There were no lights on in my room and the windows were pulled but the sun was high in the sky so light was still present. I quickly noticed I was in a hospital room. The events came crashing down on me as I remembered Scarlet had been kidnapped! My anger rose quickly as I struggled against the restraints. “JAXSON! Calm down, we have Scarlet!” someone said. I glanced over and saw Mason had stood up and walked quickly over to me and held my hand down.
