LOGINDAMON
“And a good day to you as well uncle,” I said as I let out a sigh. “The guard must have told you, haven’t he?”
Uncle Seamus walked towards me while staring down Grace.
Seamus Croft is my uncle and very much like a father to me. He raised me all by himself after the passing of my father. He is the only man allowed to talk back to me and walked into my abode like it is his own. All I have for him is love and respect, like a son would for his father.
“Seems like the royal guards needs cleansing and I’ll see to that,” I grunted.
“No no, it wasn’t his fault. You can leave that for later, we need to focus on the painting in front of us. This is a big problem, Damon. This flaw of hers has started spreading like uncontrollable fire. If we don’t do something now, things could get out of hand,” Seamus said, trying to pressure me.
“It’s fine, Uncle. You needn’t worry about trivial things. All I need from her is a child and them I’m cured of my curse. I don’t care is she’s blind and deaf at the same time being mute. All I care about is being free from this curse and then I can send her back to wherever dump she came from,” I replied as I turned towards her with disgust written all over my face.
Anytime I look at her face, I get reminded that the offspring of the man that cold heartedly killed my sister is standing right in front of me. And yet…and yet I’m doing nothing about it. I’ve never had to worry about killing someone before, I just do it.
But why can’t I do anything today. There are so many ways that I could use to kill her. I could snap her neck, I could wrap my hands around her throat and choke the life out of her, I could drive my claws through her chest and rip out her heart effortlessly. Yet I’m doing none. Doesn’t this count as betrayal? I’m betraying my late sister by postponing my revenge because I’m thinking only about myself and the curse wrapped around my neck.
If this had happened to me, I bet she would’ve put me first. With all these thoughts lingering through my mind, I began to get angry.
“With things going the way they are. Damon, my advice for you is to divorce this mute bastard before it’s too late. Or else this flaw of hers will cause an uproar and an unbalance of authority maintenance in this pack. That is all I have to say,” he said he slowly exited the room.
“No, uncle,” I said what I hadn’t said to my uncle in all my twenty years of being alive. “It can’t just end like this. I can’t close the chapter like this. No, not like this.”
I nodded in retribution as I was beginning to fill with rage, reminiscing those sweet memories that was shared between my sister and I. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I grabbed her so far by her neck that her leg wasn’t touching the ground.
She struggled reluctantly, trying to break my grip by this was the end of the road for her. She was building energy in her throat as if that useless mouth of hers would spill out words.
“Have you forgotten what her father did to us so suddenly, Uncle?” I asked as I locked my crimson eyes on her, glaring hard. “Or do you want to tell me that you’ve forgiven them? Huh?”
“Of course not, Damon. I wouldn’t stop seeking revenge even at my grave,” he replied.
“Then why do you want it to end with divorce. She can’t walk away after hurting us so much, not with her life, that is. So I’ll end it how I see fit. She has to pay now for the sins of her father,” I said as I begin to tighten my grip.
“You can go ahead, Son. An eye for an eye is what they call it. End this chapter however you see fit. Finish her off,” Uncle Seamus said as his eyes brightened up.
Blood had started to drip from both her nostrils and her ears. She was basically at deaths door. All I had to do was hold her for two more seconds.
And then I heard him… my wolf, why is he fighting me? Why is he cursing me? Why is he stopping me? Isn’t he supposed to be one with me? Isn’t he supposed to be my shadow? Isn’t he supposed to be my spirit? Why must the body work and the spirit rest?
“Side with me!” I yelled out loud as I tossed Grace to the bed and drove my fist through the wall in rage.
Doesn’t he want revenge? Is having a mate more important than my revenge?
I had began to question my motive when I turned to the direction of my uncle and saw that he was in disbelief. I don’t blame him, I too was in disbelief.
“Why did you hesitate?” He asked with his eyes wide open.
“I just remembered something, that’s all. I can’t forget that I need her to cure my curse.”
“But you can pick whomever to cure your curse. It doesn’t have to be her. There’s nothing special about her. You should kill her now that you have the chance,” he said with a tone of panic.
“Not like this. An eye for an eye wouldn’t satisfy me. I want the whole head and I’m sure my late sister does too,” I said.
I can’t reveal the fact that I wasn’t able to kill Grace because she’s my true mate because I want to limit the people that know about this.
I’m sorry I can’t tell you about this uncle. Because with her I’ll catch the scoundrel in our family that cursed me.
SEAMUSI sat on the edge of my bed pondering. It’s been two days since I got Lucas’s letter and no word from Hendrix. It’s a no-brainer that he’s in their captivity. I had sat tight for two days thinking Hendrix might return overnight because he’s done something similar to this in the past but my speculations were false.I threw my walking stick on the ground and began to pace up and down the room trying to think of a way to free him. He’s busy asking for Damon’s blood in exchange for Hendrix without knowing that Damon’s blood is in the list of the most dangerous poison in the world. One drop of it in your tongue is enough to strip the air out of the throat of a fully transformed alpha.“What the hell am I going to do?!” I shook my head in anger and paced around the room uncomfortably. “They haven’t sent any other letter for the past two days in order to threaten me further. What if they’ve killed him?”No, it’s too early to think negatively. I immediately rushed out of my room and bu
DAMON“Enjoy it?” She asked with a look of disgust around her face. “Is this where your argument is based off? It’s called Rape, Damon.”“That’s where you’re wrong, Grace. It’s one thing about lying to me and another about lying to yourself. I know what I’m in the mood for and it’s certainly not an argument,” I began to unbuckle my belt and pull down my pants.I slowly approached her as she backed off with the same pace. With no room left to run, Grace softly slammed her back against the wall. I yanked out my claws and placed them on her chest, pulling down and slicing her dress in half.Grace gasped and stared into my eyes with an angry expression on her face. I leaned closer to her and she turned her face, throwing her view somewhere else.“Look at me in my eyes, Grace,” I moved her chin, positioning her eyes perfectly on mine while going in for a kiss. I kissed her slowly and softly, wrapping both my arms around her waist. The same Grace who said she didn’t give me consent and neve
GRACE“What business do you have with the Veyra pack, Grace?” Ruth Veyra asked while folding her arms under her armpit. She eyed me from head to toe properly. She was probably asking herself by now if this was the same Grace she knew.I immediately reached for my purse and pulled out a pen and a paper. I made sure to come ready with everything I needed at my disposal. “I’m here to see my father. Is there anything wrong with that?”She snatched the paper from me and began to read with anger in her eyes. “Yes it is! Who gave you the right to step your foot back in this palace after what I had done to you? Or are you trying to tell me you’ve forgotten the promise you made to me?” She asked while folding up the paper and throwing it away.“Get a rule book that says it’s wrong for a married girl to visit her fathers house and I’ll leave,” I wore a bold expression on my face.“Look at you standing all bold and strong. So the rumors were true. You’re the mute Luna who communicates through p
GRACEI tore out a sheet of paper as soon as Damon left the palace. “Father, I still haven’t gotten your reply. I’ve thought about it a lot and there was no way that you of all people would joke about something like that. I still don’t believe such words could escape your mouth, talk less written by your fingers. To confirm my conclusion, I’ll have to take a big risk to come and visit you today. This is not a plan to escape from here because I’m fully invested in your plan to exact revenge on my mother’s murderer. From Grace.”I concluded my letter and folded it thoroughly while whistling to attract my father’s crow. My father had planted a crow on the roof of the Rival pack in case I wanted to send an emergency letter. I placed my neatly folded paper on the beak of the crow and it flew away. A knock on the door startled me while I was organizing my bed. I exhaled deeply to calm myself while opening the door. It was Lili
DAMONI returned home after finishing work at the office and I still found it strange that the color of my veins were turning black. What does that mean?Morning wasted no time in stealing the spotlight right under the moon’s nose. I opened my eyes and slowly sat up. I could feel my body struggle to keep up with my actions. I raised up my right hand to examine my veins again. They haven't changed color at all. Kind of makes me wonder if I still had sleep in my eyes at that time. I also immediately checked for wounds in my guts. The wound was in its final healing stage. Which means there was nothing to worry about. “What are you doing so early in the morning? Checking if you’re still high?” Grace asked with a look of disgust around her face. “High? Is that what this looks like to you?” I quizzed. “You don’t know? You should’ve seen yourself yesterday. Seems like work is the new code for getting high,” she nonchalantly replied while continuing with her book.“Why would I? I only had
DAMONI woke up at night after resting since morning. I opened up the wardrobe beside me and pulled out my pocket watch. I pierced my sleepy eyes deep to check the time. It was just half past seven.“You really love to sleep, don’t you?” Grace asked while pulling the bedspread from my lower half. “You eat a lot and sleep a lot. Kind of makes me question what you really do.”“I’m not in the mood for arguments, Grace. Order a maid to get me food. I’m empty,” my stomach felt like an abandoned building which echoes could travel through at light speed. Grace giggled and left. I had just proved her spectaculations. After filling up my empty stomach, I got dressed in my black coat, hopped on my horse and left for the office. There were papers which needed my signatures or else it will take another month before a new set of those papers can be produced and sent. They’re property papers. The fewer types, used to transfer properties like horses, temporary soldiers, wagons and all that. I neede
