DAMON

“And a good day to you as well uncle,” I said as I let out a sigh. “The guard must have told you, haven’t he?”

Uncle Seamus walked towards me while staring down Grace.

Seamus Croft is my uncle and very much like a father to me. He raised me all by himself after the passing of my father. He is the only man allowed to talk back to me and walked into my abode like it is his own. All I have for him is love and respect, like a son would for his father.

“Seems like the royal guards needs cleansing and I’ll see to that,” I grunted.

“No no, it wasn’t his fault. You can leave that for later, we need to focus on the painting in front of us. This is a big problem, Damon. This flaw of hers has started spreading like uncontrollable fire. If we don’t do something now, things could get out of hand,” Seamus said, trying to pressure me.

“It’s fine, Uncle. You needn’t worry about trivial things. All I need from her is a child and them I’m cured of my curse. I don’t care is she’s blind and deaf at the same time being mute. All I care about is being free from this curse and then I can send her back to wherever dump she came from,” I replied as I turned towards her with disgust written all over my face.

Anytime I look at her face, I get reminded that the offspring of the man that cold heartedly killed my sister is standing right in front of me. And yet…and yet I’m doing nothing about it. I’ve never had to worry about killing someone before, I just do it.

But why can’t I do anything today. There are so many ways that I could use to kill her. I could snap her neck, I could wrap my hands around her throat and choke the life out of her, I could drive my claws through her chest and rip out her heart effortlessly. Yet I’m doing none. Doesn’t this count as betrayal? I’m betraying my late sister by postponing my revenge because I’m thinking only about myself and the curse wrapped around my neck.

If this had happened to me, I bet she would’ve put me first. With all these thoughts lingering through my mind, I began to get angry.

“With things going the way they are. Damon, my advice for you is to divorce this mute bastard before it’s too late. Or else this flaw of hers will cause an uproar and an unbalance of authority maintenance in this pack. That is all I have to say,” he said he slowly exited the room.

“No, uncle,” I said what I hadn’t said to my uncle in all my twenty years of being alive. “It can’t just end like this. I can’t close the chapter like this. No, not like this.”

I nodded in retribution as I was beginning to fill with rage, reminiscing those sweet memories that was shared between my sister and I. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I grabbed her so far by her neck that her leg wasn’t touching the ground.

She struggled reluctantly, trying to break my grip by this was the end of the road for her. She was building energy in her throat as if that useless mouth of hers would spill out words.

“Have you forgotten what her father did to us so suddenly, Uncle?” I asked as I locked my crimson eyes on her, glaring hard. “Or do you want to tell me that you’ve forgiven them? Huh?”

“Of course not, Damon. I wouldn’t stop seeking revenge even at my grave,” he replied.

“Then why do you want it to end with divorce. She can’t walk away after hurting us so much, not with her life, that is. So I’ll end it how I see fit. She has to pay now for the sins of her father,” I said as I begin to tighten my grip.

“You can go ahead, Son. An eye for an eye is what they call it. End this chapter however you see fit. Finish her off,” Uncle Seamus said as his eyes brightened up.

Blood had started to drip from both her nostrils and her ears. She was basically at deaths door. All I had to do was hold her for two more seconds.

And then I heard him… my wolf, why is he fighting me? Why is he cursing me? Why is he stopping me? Isn’t he supposed to be one with me? Isn’t he supposed to be my shadow? Isn’t he supposed to be my spirit? Why must the body work and the spirit rest?

“Side with me!” I yelled out loud as I tossed Grace to the bed and drove my fist through the wall in rage.

Doesn’t he want revenge? Is having a mate more important than my revenge?

I had began to question my motive when I turned to the direction of my uncle and saw that he was in disbelief. I don’t blame him, I too was in disbelief.

“Why did you hesitate?” He asked with his eyes wide open.

“I just remembered something, that’s all. I can’t forget that I need her to cure my curse.”

“But you can pick whomever to cure your curse. It doesn’t have to be her. There’s nothing special about her. You should kill her now that you have the chance,” he said with a tone of panic.

“Not like this. An eye for an eye wouldn’t satisfy me. I want the whole head and I’m sure my late sister does too,” I said.

I can’t reveal the fact that I wasn’t able to kill Grace because she’s my true mate because I want to limit the people that know about this.

I’m sorry I can’t tell you about this uncle. Because with her I’ll catch the scoundrel in our family that cursed me.

SEAMUS“Master! Master!” Hendrix stormed into my room like he had seen his late father. “Mast—”“Shut the hell up, you dimwit!” I immediately interrupted him before my eardrums started to bleed. “What is so important that you’ve come to disturb me this evening? It better be worth my time or else…”“It is, Master! I promise. Those other rogues you and Lucas were worried about have been defeated,” he said with so much confidence that I wasn’t mad anymore. I only felt disappointment and sadness for him.“They’d been defeated, you say? Defeated by who?” I asked while keenly glaring at the expression on his face.“By Lucas,” he said with a whispering tone.“By who again? I don’t think I heard you very well.”“By Lucas!” He cried out flusterly. “Everybody in the world already knows this as old news and here you are screaming like you have won a war or something. Let this be the first and last time that you’ll come to me with such excitement only to share old or fake news. I’ll make sure to

  • Dear Alpha, Divorce Me Before I Take My Revenge!   Persistence at it's final

GRACEThe ray of the sun came out immediately after dawn, signifying how hot it was going to be today. I got up as early as the sun and went to the training ground to train myself. I ran a few laps before sparring with the dummy. I was really making progress. It’s unfortunate that Damon wasn’t here to see me. He would’ve been proud of how much I’ve grown. I finished with my workout and freshened up before heading to Damon’s room to check up on him. When I entered, I saw him getting ready for training.“What the hell are you doing up so early? You could barely sit up by yourself and now you want to train?” I asked furiously.“You needn’t worry about me, Grace, I’m already feeling great. Yesterday was in the past. You should be glad that I’m up and about my business because that spell was really effective,” he grabbed his water bottle and opened the door to leave but I wasn’t about to let that happen.I placed my foot in front of the door, blocking his path. “I passed through so much t

  • Dear Alpha, Divorce Me Before I Take My Revenge!   True Or False

GRACEThe condition I met Damon before leaving the palace had worsened. His temperature had increased unbelievably and his body was shaking, which was strange because he was still unconscious after all that shaking.I had to check if he was still alive. After confirming that his soul was still in his body, I placed a strand of hair from a horse's tail and the tooth of a bear on his chest while I sprinkled the white pixie dust on his face and began to chant the spells the seer had instructed me to chant.“Murka le ki ka que wlhy”“Murka le ki ka que wlhy”After chanting this spell with all of heart, Damon’s body immediately stopped shaking and he regained consciousness. I gently helped him sit up.The strand of hair withered, the white pixie dust turned to dust and flew away while the tooth broke in half. Its purpose had been fulfilled. I folded my hands together and thanked the moon goddess as well as the seer for their help. Damon had regained consciousness even though he looked pale

I knew this day would come but what a coincidence that I’m seeing thu son my death bed.” *cough* *cough* He had began to cough uncontrollably. I immediately grabbed the clay jug by the side and helped him to drink from it. “I guess I can’t keep running away anymore, Marcy. I’ll soon be joining you so please find it in your heart to let me have my dying moments in peace. I don’t want to keep that horrible past. You can hunt and taunt me all you want once I’m up there with you. You’ve even came in the form—”I immediately interrupted him by placing a note on his chest.“You know my mother? How come? And why’re you calling out her name like that? You sound like you’ve known her for a long time.”I looked at him with impatient eyes. If this man knew my mother then surely he must know how she died.“Mister, Answer me! Did you know my mum?” I slipped another note into his hands

GRACEImmortality Threads? But how’s that for Ben possible? I got up from the bed and stood before the window as if it would help me think more. I looked out the window, seeing food being brought into the palace through carriages. I still struggled to find it hard to believe so I went back to him.I placed my hands on his chest and o decided to clear my doubts and start searching for a solution. I grabbed him by the arm and noticed his veins had started to turn black. I stared at him and at his veins before shaking my head. “This is from the curse, isn’t it?” I asked if it’s a straight face because I had a hunch when I saw those threads on his body. He nodded with his eyes closed and his teeth clenched trying to beat the pain. The temperature of his body had started to increase. This was a sign to act fast because I couldn’t predict what next was going to happen to him and suddenly I remembered that there was a man who diagnosed him with this curse. If I could remember, they called

Grace's POV. “What happened to him?” I stormed into the room, breathing heavily. “How did it happen?” “We were just talking, and then…” Lily broke down in tears and buried her face in her palms. “And then he said he had to get some rest because he was exhausted.”She paused, and looked at him lying on the bed. “He had barely taken a step when he fell to the ground.” she added, her eyes burning with tears. “Is there anything you can do to help him?” She took my hands in hers, and looked into my eyes as tears continue to burn in her eyes. “Please, I beg of you.” she said, with a desperate appeal in her eyes. “You just have to do something to help him.” “It looks really bad.” I took a step forward, and looked at him. “It doesn't look like anything I've seen before.” “All the more reason why you should help him.” she said, trying to suppress the tears in her throat. “You won't leave him to die, will you?”“Of course, I won't.” I said, barely breathing the words. “I just hope there
