He threw me on the bed like a piece of trash. Blood and tears ran down my cheeks, my vision blurry. I was spared but it still felt like I was looking at death itself.

“Oh, look at the way she cries!" Seamus exclaimed bitterly. “How indecent! You can only see the tears in her eyes yet no emotions from her throat. She can’t sob no wail. Can she even be considered a living thing?”

He spat and muttered insults while exiting the room. And I just layed there hoping to catch my breath.

I folded into a ball as I buried my fingers into his bedsheets whilst bloody tears rushed from my eyes. This isn’t the time to cry. This is the time to stay strong and avenge my mother.

After all, what insults have he spat out from his mouth that I haven’t heard a million times from my stepmother?
