Caspian's POV.

“You bribed the lawyer,” I continued, stepping toward him, “Only to hand the company over to your drunk, irresponsible son—who doesn’t even know how to tie a tie, much less run a business.”

Alec didn’t like that. His whole body stiffened.

“I was left everything, Alec. Every. Single. Property. You? You own nothing. You never did. And deep down, you know it.”

“You should thank the heavens I left you the penthouse.” I added sarcastically.

His fist tightened so hard his knuckles turned white. “You’re not special, Caspian,” he said, his voice shaking with anger.

“You didn’t even like Father. You spent your whole life fighting against him. So why now? Why fight so hard for something your mother couldn’t even get?”

I stopped at his words. My eyes narrowed instantly, and my chest filled with fire. Those words—his words—cut deep.

Before I could think, before I could even stop myself, I moved towards him faster.

In two long strides, I crossed the room and slammed Alec into the w

Elena's POV“What?” My eyes bulged in shock at the words of the sales representative. She had just concluded that I stole her black card because Isabella told her so? How's that even possible?I tried to run away, but the men caught me before I could move. At this point, the customers that were in the store had already focused their attention on us, their phones out of their bags as they recorded what was happening.“Let me go! I didn't do anything! I didn't steal anything from Isabella. She's lying!” I tried to explain, but they wouldn't listen to me because, in their hearts, they’d already concluded that I was nothing but a thief.“You think you can come in here and harass our customer? That's impossible!” she spat out.“But I didn't steal anything! I didn't.” I defended myself, struggling against the hold of the security men that held my hand.Just then, Isabella, feigning the innocent victim act, walked closer to me. “I know you don't want to admit it, Elena, but please, that card

  • Dear Ex, Your Uncle Claimed Me    Chapter 27

Elena's POVJust as I kept walking around in the mall, I suddenly caught the beautiful and stunning sight of a white sleeveless dress. It had crystal stones adorned on it and not to speak about the beautiful patterns on it.With joy in my heart, I rushed into the store. I was so excited that I could buy it right away. It was so beautiful. Getting closer to where it was displayed, I stood still, admiring it.“This is perfect,” I muttered under my breath. I looked around the area, but there were no sales personnel. But I was willing to wait.Trust me, the dress was worth it. Just as I stretched my hand towards the dress to feel its fabric and know what kind of material it was, a hand, strong and firm, held mine out of the blue, making me jerk in shock as I turned my face towards the person.“How dare you barge in here to steal clothes?”From what I could tell, she was the sales personnel. But her statement was outrageous and annoying too.“I didn't barge in here, the doors were open. Wh

  • Dear Ex, Your Uncle Claimed Me    Chapter 26

Elena's POVWaking up to Caspian lying by my side, I couldn't help but smile as he slept peacefully, his arms wrapped around me as we lay on the couch, our naked bodies still in contact. I could still feel wet as I stared at his face alone. He was stunningly handsome. I couldn't take my eyes off him. I reached for his hair as I slowly stroked each strand with a smile on my face. I couldn't believe I was in the arms of a dangerous man, yet I felt safer than being with Caleb, my ex-husband.Just as I was still staring at his beautiful features, his voice echoed.“If you keep giggling and staring at me that way, I might lose control and do something to you, Squishy,” he muttered with a raspy voice that sent chills down my spine. My hand swiftly let go, but immediately, he reached for my hand and placed it on his hair. “I never asked you to stop.”His eyes slowly opened, meeting mine, which were shocked and filled with disbelief. How could he be this sweet with me, yet cold and indifferen

  • Dear Ex, Your Uncle Claimed Me    Chapter 25

Elena's POVI couldn't stop myself from staring out of the window at every second that passed by. I hadn't seen Caspian for the whole day, and he clearly didn't want to see me. I wasn't sure why, but whenever I tried to ask, he shoved me away. After the incident with Caleb, who had stormed into his mansion last night, things weren't the same. He ended up shutting me out. I wasn't sure what Caleb, that moron, had said to him, but I really needed to clear things up.I hadn't expected to fall for him, to fall in love with someone as dangerous as he was, but then I couldn’t stop myself, and this is what I get? Was love this difficult? My fingers ran through every strand of my hair as I walked back to my bed. I picked up my phone, and turning the screen on, I was expecting to see his call, but nothing came.“Maybe he's busy? But how can he be busy? He's never too busy to pick up,” I mumbled in worry, several thoughts slamming through my mind at this point.I ended up dialing his contact ag

Caspian's POV. I stood in front of the mirror, buttoning up my white shirt slowly. My hands moved without thinking, but my mind was far away. I hadn’t seen Elena since last night… since the fight with Caleb outside the mansion. She had called out to me after it happened. I remembered her voice—soft, scared, almost broken. But I didn’t stop. I walked away from her. I couldn’t face her.I didn’t sleep in our room last night. I stayed in the guest room. Alone. Now, I was getting dressed, trying to act like everything was fine. But it wasn’t. My chest felt tight. My heart was heavy. I wasn't even sure why. Maybe… maybe I felt guilty. Why should I feel guilty? I didn’t do anything wrong. Caleb was the one who crossed the line. But then, I remember Elena’s eyes; they were confused when I left the room. Leaving her all alone. And it made my stomach twist.I fixed my tie and stared at myself in the mirror. My face looked calm, cold even. Like I had no feelings. But inside, I was a mess.A

  • Dear Ex, Your Uncle Claimed Me    Chapter 22

Caspian's POV.I towered possessively above her. Her body warm against mine, her lips swollen from our kisses, her eyes looking up at me like I was the only man in the world. There was desire in them, yes, but also something deeper. Something that twisted in my chest and made me want to protect her, claim her, love her.I was just about to pull her closer, thrusting my throbbing cock into her wet slits when a loud, heavy knock pounded against the door.I froze at the first knock. I tried ignoring it totally when another knock came, infuriating me. A growl rumbled low in my throat. “Who the hell is it?!”“Boss!” came Nathan’s voice; shaky and too loud. “Sorry to bother you, but there’s a problem.”I clenched my jaw and shut my eyes, frustration flooding my veins. I glanced down at Elena. Her eyes had gone wide, full of worry, but her hands were gentle on my arms, grounding me. Soothing me. Even then, I could feel the fire of anger building in my chest.I exhaled sharply and rolled o

  • Dear Ex, Your Uncle Claimed Me    Chapter 21

Elena’s POVThe sound of Caspian choking hit me like a nightmare. He dropped the half-eaten cookie and stumbled backward, his hand clutching his chest tightly as he dropped to his knees. His handsome face twisted in pain, eyes tightly shut, mouth gasping for breath.“Caspian!” I screamed, the box of cookies falling from my hand as I rushed to his side.He couldn’t speak at first. His throat sounded tight, as if something was blocking his air. I touched his face, my hands shaking as I tried to understand what was happening.“I… I’m allergic…” he finally forced out through clenched teeth, sweat dripping down his forehead.“Allergic?” I whispered, trying to stay calm, even though my heart was racing in fear. “To what?”He looked at the cookie he’d just eaten, his eyes fluttering with pain. “Nuts… There were nuts…”I froze. Nuts? Oh no… I didn’t check. I didn’t even read the label. I had just thought they looked nice and would be a fun little treat. Something to celebrate. Something sweet

  • Dear Ex, Your Uncle Claimed Me    Chapter 20

Caspian's POVThe second my name escapes his lips, I couldn't help but find Alec's blazing eyes glaring right at where I was seated. If he had his way, I was certain he would walk up to me to confront me.But because he had a reputation to keep, he needed to act calm and relaxed. He held back, his fists clenching tightly on both sides.“Scared I beat you to your game, huh?” I muttered, his eyes clearly reading my lips as his glare became more fierce.I smirked. I loved that look on his face.At that moment, one of the investors asked again, his tone loud and sharp, “How do we believe this? How do we believe you aren't lying to us just now?”What was he thinking? That I had bribed the lawyer just as Alec did? I wasn't that way. Instead of delaying, I get straight to the point no matter what the situation could be.“I am not lying, young man, and I have proof showing that Mr. Caspian is the true owner of the company and everything under Mr. Night's name!”He let out, his hand lifting to
