Zendaya's POV

Anger swam gradually to the base of my throat but I pushed myself out of his room and returned to my room.

$300 every week to endure his contemptuous outbursts?

Was I in for his money?

Absolutely not! But he made it miserably hard for me to literally fake liking him.

How long do I have to persist in this act?

I sank into my bed after presumably trying to call Mariana over the phone.

I haven't heard from her in a long while. Father had advised that she was not to know more about me than she already did.

So she doesn't even know what I was up to. My life was literally much of a fake life, but some things had to be done.

The chirpings of the morning birds stirred me up from sleep. For a minute, I had completely forgotten where I was.

I yawned having recovered from a moment state of shock, I changed into another outfit then started down the stairs where I started cleaning the kitchen.

Tyler waltzed to the mind, and I snapped the memory of him away from my mind.

I would see him much later. Perhaps he would be in a happier mood.

As I cleaned, I began to swoon around to an imaginary music playing in my head and an imaginary dance with my very own prince Charming.

I didn't know how I got to the polished parlour (which was spacious and was likable for a dancing floor) and I began dancing around.

A shrilling ring tore through the air and I stopped to catch my breath, laughing at my stupid act while rebuking who the caller was.

I walked towards the piano stand where the telephone was as it continued to render its tormenting cry.

"Let it ring." Came the deep voice.

I gasped, holding my chest in a state of shock as I whirled round to the direction of the voice.

Tyler sat in his chair, hands on the wheels by the corner that digress to the stairs.

He had been watching me, for how long?

Had he seen me dancing?

"It could be an important call," I said to him.

"It's my mother," his brows twitched.

The ring of the telephone switched into a voicemail.

"Tyler darling, I just wanted to hear from you. How are you holding up? I'm sorry that I haven't returned home, I'm still cumbered with a lot of work....,"

There was a pause.

"Not to worry, the caregiver will attend to all of your needs. I'll be home shortly."

And the line went dead.

My eyes returned to his face.

Was this truly how his relationship with his mother was? How could she care so less about him and leave him entirely in my care?

Had she merely found me just because she had wanted to go on a business trip?

It just didn't sit right to me.

She didn't even remember my name!

Was she truly his mother?

What if I did try to kill him?

It would be the most easiest task.

"You can go about your business," he started wheeling away.

My stomach rolled. I knew that he had seen me dancing.

*******

I pushed myself into Tyler's room, making sure the tray of food doesn't tilt from my hands.

A pitch darkness hit me.

Thick, heavy curtains obscured the sun rays from perpetuating the room and the lights were switched off.

The other of my hand searched frantically for the light switch.

My fingers found it and the lights flooded the room once I turned it on.

One look at Tyler, and his eyes growled at me.

"I didn't ask you to turn on the switch." He spoke.

"I brought breakfast, I prepared scrabbled eggs," I tried a slow smile, dropped it on the stool close to bed and walked around the bed.

My hand went for the curtains.

"What are you doing?" He demanded.

"Doing the right thing," I fought another wave of fury awaking in me.

"You don't know your place. Just because I let you be, you begin to hop around like a little bird."

His eyes held much hatred, and I scoffed silently having realized that his disdain for me was nothing compared to mine.

"Your incessant whining are indeed childish, just because you do not find anything amusing - others are bound to suffer for what they know nothing about. If you choose to get swallowed up by this darkness, fine but not under my watch. Eat, live and go out like a human. How long do you hope to dwindle in your miserable solace? Perhaps, when your mother returns I will take my leave and never return. Until then, you're stuck with me."

Hell, I regretted the words as soon as they were spoken.

His brows cocked upwards in shock at my words while his finger clung tightly around the arms of his wheelchair.

Silence.

But I could hear my heart beating. Had those words being spoken by me?

I looked at him, he looked right back at me, and our eyes met.

Quickly, I averted my gaze. "I'll be back soon." I told him.

My stomach tightened as I paced around. Why had I spoken like that to him? I

I might lose my job and every plan father and I had orchestrated would come to nought.

What was wrong with me?

"Calm down, Suzzie. Breathe," I told myself.

Hoping to hear more outburst from him, I returned to his room one hour later.

His dish was cleared, and not a crumb was left.

He was also sleeping in his chair, while the curtain had been stretched to a half-opening.

The corner of my lips curled up as I watched him.

"Why not just kill him and return home? He's much of a trouble in the ass anyway?" That voice said to me.

"No one would ever know. He killed your parents, remember? His mother doesn't even care about him? So, why should you? You're must a girl out here for revenge."

The voice was winning as memories of my parents flooded me.

My eyes went slightly blurry and I grabbed one of his pillows - intent on avenging the death of my parents.

I have never seen Tyler so bright with smile. The moment I fell into the backseat with him while Andrea placed the wheelchair in the booth, Tyler became all chatty. He was radiant, that I noticed.Once we arrived at Intermix shopping mall, we went past the gates, through the aisle of shelves for lettuce and tomatoes.Tyler was fixated at having no one push him around, despite the stares, he kept the conversation going while I picked whatever we needed."We need some eggs," I said to Tyler."Are you literally buying the whole building?" • Deceptive Intentions    Lonely

Tyler's POV I led her to my study, a place I hadnt been to days after the accident that had nearly crumpled my life. The room was crammed with cobwebs in all corners as I would never let anyone in even for a cleanup. Suzzie pushed herself infront of me, quick to turn up the lights before she turned back to face me. "This was my father's study room before he passed away. He was much of a bookworm." I started. We combed through the aisle of shelves of books. "How did you hear about the job opening?" I asked her. "Saw it on an advertisement on television." She replied. "I suppose you must have known about how I came about in a wheelchair?" Her eyes fell on me. "I've heard snippets. Something about some distangled engagement." I laughed to that, something I had never done and her eyes lit up at my reaction. "I wish I could roll back the hands of time. And you're right, I should live instead of wallowing in self pity. I was writing a book about visiting Venice. Isabell

Zendaya's POV I'd heard the faint call of my name but I'd waved it off thinking it was my mind playing a trick on me.Was it Tyler?Certainly not. Tyler hated me being around him, how then would he be calling for me?I switched off the shower, grabbed my towel and tied it around me.My damped hair trickled some droplets of water as I walked out of the bathroom. The bathroom was just at the right sided part of my well furnished room.My eyes glided round the room and remarkably stumbled on Tyler Skyler.Tyler Skyler in my room?In his hand was my lingerie, he was sniffling them.My feet froze, and his face bleached white."I'm sorry....I...I had to let myself in," he stuttered, dropping the lingerie where he had picked them.I know Tyler could be paranoid, annoying - much more a pain in the ass. But I didn't think him to be a pervert.Does he go around sniffling ladies' undeewear?I thought he hated me so much that he wanted me out from his house."Do you need me for anything?" His ey

  • Deceptive Intentions    Slowly And Gently

Tyler's POV No one had ever spoken to me like that before. It was believed that I could always have what I wanted however I place my order. She exuded a fierce femininity, unapologetic and pure. I was at peace, and it was something that startled me. Suddenly her pretty face which towered over me faded out into nothingness and hands with claws grabbed unto my neck, trying to suffocate me of every last breath in me. I choked, arms outstretched as they began to frail. I couldn't possibly die in my sleep. And such a thing be recorded in history? No way. Perhaps this was just a dream, and I would wake from this dream. A hand shook me, and my eyes snapped open falling on Suzzie. Suzzie had a pillow to her bossom, close to her was Leonard Twain fawning down at me. "This is not a suitable sleeping position, Tyler," he smiled widely. "But I suppose you're one of the most stubborn man I've ever come across." I let out a groan. Leonard's gaze shifted towards Suzzie the

  • Deceptive Intentions    Wading The Waters

Zendaya's POV "You can take care of yourself like you always do. Don't know how long I might be gone." I scoffed silently at the words written on the paper. The words held no strength, that it felt to me that Mrs Skyler didn't care much about her son. She was only trying to put up with appearances. I shoved the letter into the envelope and placed it on the bed. When I was younger, I'd truly experienced what a mother's love felt like. Carol, my mother would make sure everything was kept in place, and no one would certainly feel out of place. As her name implied, she was truly a happy person. Even though, dad barely made enough, mother was sure to be contented with whatever he could provide. I heard a rustle emanating from the bathroom, and that pushed me into racking my knuckles on the door. I was greeted with silence. Tyler's silence only had me pushing the door slightly. His eyes shot up at me as my eyes studied him briefly. He had struggled to wearing his briefs
