Kal suddenly appeared next to Kimberly and grabbed her hand. "Please don't be a bitch," he whined. "Just for 10 minutes. Please? If you do then I promise I won't ever make you watch Mean Girls ever again."
Kimberly raised her eyebrow at Kal and placed her hand on his cheek. "I will claw your eyes out of you make me watch that film again," she said.
"Everybody, pair up!" The teacher called and Kal grinned at Indianna.
"I'm going to kick some girl butt," he teased and Indianna shook her head.
"Count me out, I'm not breaking a nail," Kimberly scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest and took a step back.
"I guess I'm with you," Brooke grinned and turned to Tai.
"Don't you want to go with Harry?" Tai wondered and Brooke laughed.
"God no," she said and looked over her shoulder to where Harry was walking across the gym. "On second thoughts... Crap." Brooke narrowed her eyes at Harry who stopped in front of Brandon and raised his eyebrows. "Nope, that's not happening!"
Brooke suddenly rushed away and hurried over to Harry.
"What's up with her?" Tai asked.
"It's a long story," Indianna sighed and looked over as Brooke grabbed Harry's arm.
"Why is she stopping him? Let him kill the cunt," Kal grumbled.
Indianna sighed, but didn't object to Kal's comment. After a few minutes of Brooke and Harry bickering he sent a last glare to Brandon before grabbing Brooke's hand and walking back across the gym.
"You alright?" Kal asked Harry.
"Great," Harry snapped.
"You were going to hurt him," Brooke said. "I couldn't let that happen."
"After all he's done?" Harry growled.
Brooke cast her gaze to the floor and shrugged her shoulders.
"Guys, look who he's been partnered with," Kal said and they all looked over to see Brandon facing the new guy.
"This might be interesting," Harry murmured.
"Why?" Tai asked.
"Because he's a we-" Kimberly elbowed Kal in the stomach and glared at him. "Because Brandon's a wimp," Kal corrected.
"He's with my brother," Tai said.
"Brother?" Indianna repeated.
"Yes," Tai nodded.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Kimberly demanded.
"Because I don't go around telling my life story to strangers," Tai shrugged. "Sorry for the inconvenience that has caused," she added sarcastically.
"Lu- Indie!" A class member called and ran up to Indianna. "He's woken up."
Indianna's eyes went wide and Tai frowned as the whole group turned to the guy.
"Are you sure?" Harry snapped.
"Doc just called, he's awake."
"Shit," Kal cursed.
"We need to go," Indianna said.
"Wait, I thought whats-his-name was like dead," Kimberly said.
"He was in a coma," Brooke gasped. "He wasn't freaking dead!"
"Kim, his name is Ace," Kal frowned and shook his head at Kimberly.
Indianna looked at each of her friends and smiled. "Ace is awake."
Greyson, it's been a week.
I never thought heartbreak was a real thing, but in this week I've felt nothing but pain. Heartbreak is horrible. Loosing you is horrible. Living is horrible. I feel stupid, writing this when I know you will never read it, but I hope it helps. I hope it helps me in anyway possible.
Your funeral was agonising. I didn't want to go. I felt like attending was confirming that you were gone, and I didn't want to do that, not with your baby growing inside of me.
Everyone was shocked. I still am shocked.
I don't really know what they think. I haven't left my room. I can't step outside and see you everywhere, but not have you next to me.
I think I hear you sometimes, in my head. I know it's my imagination, but I so desperately want to hear the word sugar again.
I love you, and one day I know I'll see you again. I'll be able to apologise for not telling you. I wish you knew that you will soon have a child in this world. That will forever be one of my greatest regrets.
I'm sorry.
-Sugar
Greyson, I miss you.
I feel so alone.
I think my mother is dead.
I should feel sad, but I think all my pain is focused on you.
Rogue has taken control of the town. I've not witnessed it, I've still not stepped out of my room, but Brooke has told me. Apparently no one can go anywhere without being watched. He has men everywhere. The house is the only place where we are safe.
Ace still hasn't woken up. He's been in a coma since the battle. With him asleep and you gone... It falls to me. But I'm not a leader. I don't know what to do. I can't even leave my room. You always knew what to do, the pack looked up to you. I can't be a Luna, not without you.
I'm scared, Greyson.
I don't know what to do without you.
-Sugar
Greyson, I left my room today.
To leave the security of my room was scary. I saw pack members for the first time in three weeks. I thought they would be annoyed, for retreating into myself and not doing anything, but they were the opposite. They welcomed me back with open arms and were so supporting.
Your pack may seem scary on the outside, but they are so kind and strong, even in times likes this. Wait- our pack. Our pack is strong.
I still need you. I still need you to help me, but with the help of the pack, I'm sure we can manage for now.
But in the long run, I need you back, Greyson. I know it won't happen and I know I'm just fooling myself by writing these letters, but I can't help it.
I'll continue to write to you, Greyson.
For however long I need to.
-Sugar
Greyson, Rogue visited today.
It was unexpected. Then again, everything he does is a shock.
My mother is alive.
To say I was relieved was an overstatement.
I felt nothing.
He didn't say why he let her live. I think he doesn't want to give her the easy way out, he wants to make her suffer, it's what he does.
He gave me rules. He can do that now he owns the town. I have to do anything he wants, no matter what. If I refuse, he'll kill someone.
The way he talks about life is frightening. He has no remorse over the people he harms... Or kills.
I'm scared that the longer I'm forced to be around him, the longer I'm forced to be in this town... The more likely I am to become more like him. I don't want him to change me, but to live this life without you, Greyson, I'm going to have to change.
I miss you, and I love you.
-Sugar
Greyson, Ace is awake.
I feel sad, when I should feel happy. I was happy... before I had to tell him everything that had happened. Ace is such a kind soul, and he's woken up into a world of chaos. I couldn't tell him completely. I cried before I could finish talking, but he knew. He knew you were gone.
He was one of your best friends.
He just knew.
Everyone is relieved that he is alright, but as much as I wanted him to wake up, I was envious of him. He was clueless, sleeping peacefully. He didn't have to worry about anything, but now he has to worry about everything.
I need your help, Greyson. There's two new people in town. They're werewolves. They don't seem dangerous, but I don't know what to do. They've not made themselves known to us that they are werewolves, they're blending in. Acting like humans. Should I confront them? Let them come to us?
I don't know what to do, Greyson.
My head is all over the place today. My morning sickness is really getting to me and I miss you.
I miss you so fucking much. I miss your voice, your stupid ass comments, your touch, your smell... I miss you. I just want to hold you again. Feel your skin against mine. Feel those sparks that connect us. The sparks that are part of the bond that made me love you eternally.
I want you back, Greyson.
I-
Indianna stopped writing and wiped her eyes. She stared down at the paper and swallowed.
I love you.
-Sugar
She finished the letter and folded it in half and slid it into it's envelope. She knew he was never going to read them, but she addressed the letter to him anyway and placed it on the shelf beside the others.
The letters were her secret. They were silly, but they were her way of coping.
Indianna looked up when there was a knock at her door and she smiled softly when Kirstie walked in. "Hi," Indianna said.
"How you doing?" Kirstie asked.
Indianna shrugged her shoulders. "How are you?"
"I don't know when I'll fully be okay," Kirstie admitted. "I don't know when any of us will."
"I know the feeling," Indianna murmured.
"I was going to lay some flowers on his grave, did you want to come?" Kirstie asked cautiously. "Mum is going to be there."
Indianna swallowed and looked at her hands. "Um, no," she said and coughed. "You two go alone, I er... I need to... I've got to talk to Ace."
Kirstie sighed and nodded. "It's fine, Indie, be honest with me. It's not a bad thing that you can't face it. You'll go to his grave when you're ready."
Indianna looked up at Kirstie. "I don't know when I will be."
"You will."
"Give him my love," Indianna said quietly.
"You don't need to be at his grave to do that," Kirstie said and squeezed Indianna's hand comfortingly before leaving the room.
Indianna sighed and stood up, her eyes landed on the calendar hanging above her desk. The months had gone so quickly, she couldn't believe that it was nearing the end of the year. Next month she'd have to spend Christmas alone. Indianna pulled Greyson's jacket that she was wearing closer to her and made her way out of her room.
She found Ace in the medical room with Kal and Harry, they all had grave expressions. "Hey," she said quietly as she entered.
"Yo," Kal smiled, his expression brightening. "Guess who wants to come back to school?"
Indianna turned to Ace in surprise. "You've just woken up-"
"And I'm not going to help myself by lying here for days thinking about everything that has gone wrong," Ace said. "I feel fine. I am fine."
"Doc happens to disagree," Harry muttered.
"I'm not staying here for another week, I've lost a lot of time already, I want to try and get back to normal, to help," Ace insisted.
"What did Doc say?"
Indianna forced a smile. "I would never."Greyson chuckled. "Are you not eating any more, sugar?"Indianna stared down at the food on her plate, feeling full. She had taken a lot more food than she could manage to consume. She shook her head.Greyson turned to his sister. "Has she actually eaten a decent breakfast?""Greyson, I've eaten!" Indianna argued.Kirstie rolled her eyes. "Trust your mate, you dick. She ate enough for a whole family.""Great. In that case." Greyson took Indianna's plate from her and sat down between the two girls, tucking into the remains of Indianna's breakfast."We better get organised," Mac said, running his hand along Kirstie's thigh. "We gotta a lot of men to get today.""No rest for the wicked," Kirstie sighed and jumped up from the floor. "Let's go tear down Rogue's empire, lover."Mac chuckled and let Kirstie pull him up from the floor. "Let's do this.""You know," Oscar said, furrowing his eyebrows as he stood up with Kirstie and Max , "you'd think th
DAY ONEIndianna was woken by Kal's snores, they were soft, but she had been struggling to sleep the whole night and now all she could focus on was Kal's heavy breathing. She sighed and turned over, trying to get comfortable which was rather hard with her bump. She was now looking at Greyson as he slept. He seemed so peaceful. His face was so calm and serene, she wished that he didn't have to wake up to the hell they were in.Greyson's eye twitched and Indianna knew that he was no longer asleep. He reached out, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into his chest, resting his chin on her head and one hand on her stomach. *It's early, sugar, you should be asleep, not perving on me while I sleep.*Indianna chuckled slightly. *Sleep doesn't come easily these days.**Try,* Greyson pleaded. *It's 2am. You need your rest.**So do you.**I'm fine. I'm swapping watch duty with Oscar soon anyway.*The rest of the previous day was spent waiting anxiously for Oscar, Kirstie and Mac to ret
"Please don't call yourself that," Indianna said."It's true. I can't be trusted-""Would a monster feel remorse?" Indianna asked, cutting Tai off. "Do you think Rogue feels remorse over his actions?""That is different-""You are not a monster, Tai," Indianna insisted. "You didn't do what you did on purpose. As you said, you lost control. What happened has happened, it can't be taken back. The only thing we can do now is focus on the present. Tai, will you help us now?"It was a few moments before Tai acknowledged that Indianna had spoken. She pursed her lips and gave one sharp nod. "I need to wash this blood off of me," she said and turned on her heel and disappeared into Indianna's room.Indianna made her way to Greyson's room next. The scent of him surrounded her when she entered and she closed her eyes, caressing her bump. She didn't want to go without him. Indianna swallowed the lump in her throat and changed out of the clothes she had been wearing for dinner. Once she was in sw
"If I'd have known that talking to Brooklyn would change your mind then I would have suggested you do that as soon as you started to disagree with me."Indianna scowled at Greyson who smirked at her as she approached him. "Shut up."Greyson reached out and took Indianna's hand, pulling her towards him. "Thank you," he murmured."I'm still annoyed," Indianna grumbled and looked down at her feet, glaring."Hey." Greyson took Indianna's chin and tilted her head up. "Please don't be. You're keeping yourself and our children safe. That's the most important thing. Don't scowl at me, sugar.""You're important."Greyson smiled and kissed Indianna's forehead affectionately. "God, I love you, woman."Karl suddenly yelled from across the room. "They're here! Fucking hell, you took your time, lads! It's not like we're waiting for a psychopath to come and kill us or anything!""You just can't keep your mouth shut, can you?" Harry groaned, but made his way over to where Kal was now standing, over t
"Just me," Greyson croaked. "You know it's the smart thing to do. There's no point in slaughtering a whole pack.""You think I care about how many people I have control over? Do you think I care about that when my mate is lying dead in my arms!" Rogue roared. He threw Greyson to the side, kicking him onto the floor. "You will all die! I will kill you all for what you have done. None of you will live to see next week." Rogue looked down at Stacey and brushed her hair away from his face, smiling down at her. "Everything I will do to this pack will be for you, my love," he whispered. "I promise, I will make them suffer." He then walked towards the woods, not looking back at the pack. "If any of them try to leave, break their legs! I want them alive, for now!" Was the last thing Rogue said to his men before he disappeared. The rest of his men remained, but they retreated into the trees, out of sight, still there, but watching. The silence that followed next was deafening. No one said a wo
Nothing she could possibly say would help."Your pack killed my mate. SHE'S DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU. OF YOUR PACK! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!" His yells echoed in the woods surrounding them. "You..." He whispered. "You are going to pay."Indianna was too stunned to speak. She was vaguely aware of Greyson putting himself between her and Rogue, but that didn't stop Indianna from staring at her brother who looked ferocious. His eyes were dark, teeth bared, face red and he was spitting blood when he spoke. "You, little sister, are going to suffer. Your pathetic mate can't protect you. Your pack. No one. You are no different from our parents. I thought I could change you. Make you into a version of yourself that I could be proud of. Oh, how I was wrong.""J-Jason," Indianna stuttered, her words barely audible. "I didn't want this to happen-""I don't want your fake pity!" He roared and Indianna flinched. "I don't want lies! I want revenge!"*Sugar, you know I will die before I let him get to you.*H
