Chapter 74

I slumped my butt on the couch when I got home to my unit. The unit was quiet, so I guess Maia and Flannel are asleep. It was already seven in the evening. Despite the stressful meeting earlier and my discussion with Mommy, I still continued what I was planning. When everything left the company, Atty. Lockheart and I went to take care of the funds. I had a lot of papers to settle and there were even disputes between the employees and the company because of what was happening.

I sighed then I heard our room’s door opening. I immediately looked at it. I saw Maia slowly getting out of the door.

“Hey, you’re home late,” she said. I just gave her a smile.

“Did she eat?” I asked.

She nodded and then went to me. “Did you eat? We still have food.”
