Estella’s pov

It’s been two days since my encounter with Arman and he had fulfilled his promise with his presence at breakfast today..I had just gotten back from attending to Esmeralda and was packing some fruit salad for Alda.I was surprised to see her keeping her mum company ,my opinion, she didn’t have a close relationship with either of her parents.

Only if she knew I would die to have a full family like hers.I finished prepping the salad and headed back to Esmeralda’s room when I caught sight of Arman having breakfast alone in the dining room.

He seemed to be much of a loner .

The voice in my head screamed at me to walk away but I saw myself walking into the dining room.

He looked up from his food and his face lit up when he saw me.

Did my presence make him happy?

I doubted ..maybe he just liked catching off end.

“Good morning”

“Good Morning Estella. So we meet again”

“I hope you’re enjoying your meal”

What was I even saying?I wasn’t meant to be here caring about what he liked.

“Yes of course .I love good food and as you can see I’m almost done”

He wasn’t wrong. His plate was almost cleared but I didn’t think he liked the pan grilled tomatoes.

I smiled at the thought of it and nodded.

He looked at the bowl of fruit salad I held and asked”What’s that?”

“Fruit salad for Alda. She doesn’t feel like eating breakfast “

He scoffed “Typical Alda”

“Well I should be going”I said and moved to leave but stopped in my tracks to see Simon lingering by the doorway. He held a bottle of ginger ale and held an expression of confusion. He looked at me and then Arman before walking past me to take a seat.

“Hey bro”Arman called as they shook hands .I turned to see them staring back at me and then I realized they needed some private time and so I fled.

💥Arman’s pov

I watched her leave noticing also that I wasn’t the only one watching. In fact I had noticed that Simon had given her a longing look before walking past her to take a seat.

I hated the squishy sound her apron made while she walked and I couldn’t help but notice her curves even in the well cooperate chef attire. It made me hard thinking about it.I pictured pulling her hair backwards, hitting her from behind while I kissed all over her olive skin.

Damn!now I had to text Sasha ,my usual fling .The bulge between my legs wasn’t helping matters with the fact that Simon wanted to talk about business right now.

“Dad called. He won’t be coming back this weekend.I think there was a bust at the warehouse?”

Now that took my mind off Estella for a minute.

This was bad news.We both know what it meant .

Father had only used the winery to cover up for the main source of our family’s money.

Long Island was known for good wineries and so it was a good coverup.

Father had always been cautious with his operations and usually paid off the feds to have a smooth operation leading to my surprise about the bust.

“You think someone snitched on us?”

“I feel so.The route we took was blocked this time and we had to fall back to the warehouse to see that it had been raided during the few hours we spent on road..Father was mad but then you know he’s a man of little word and more actions”

“Relax.bro.You’re doing a good job already”I said sensing the hurt in his voice .

Simon had been nothing but present while I was absent before now.

To my knowledge ,he was a good underboss and made sure the operations were successful leading to him being away from home most times .

I tried not to think of my reason of leaving at first

Secrets were meant to be secrets forever even from yourself

“So what do we do next?”I asked

“We lay low.Father thinks it’s best if he stays away from home for the main time but the. we got more drugs to deliver so I have to be back at the warehouse by nighttime “

“It’s chill.I’d join you so we could meet the team and give them an orientation. Then we find who dared to snitch on us”I concurred.

Estella povRalph’s kiss left a cold touch. It only brought dread and desire for it to end immediately.“I can’t..”I said in protest —to his touch. He cursed in a rumble tone, his hands gripping my thighs—.He registered wet kisses on my shoulders and moved downwards ,folding me over the arm of the sofa ,the meat of his palm on the base of my spine as he dragged down my pants and sank to his knees. He held me open and ate me ,tongue lashing at my clit ,as I struggled and shrieked .I flushed hot red. He’s relentless, stronger than me ,single minded and at some point ,the switch inside me-the one that said you can’t stop this ,so you don’t have to fight -flips,and I sidled my legs wider and cant my hips .My mind was screaming, clawing at the bars of my own mental cage, trying to hold onto the terror. But my body was failing me. A treacherous heat spread from where his hands touched my skin, making my heart race not with fear, but with a horrifying, involuntary hunger. In the silence, he

Estella pov I was almost losing my patience when Jaya turned up one morning, with breakfast in tow. I had almost lost hope with her being away .I sat bolt upright in bed . “You’re back” “Good morning Estella and yes I’m back.”she motioned to set the breakfast tray in front of me. I searched her face as she moved close. “How are you?The other maid said you’ve been asking about me tremendously “ Her expression was naked with surprise and a little hint of appreciation . “I just thought something bad had happened to you” She laughed shortly ,shaking her head. “Boss Ralph won’t let any harm come to me except he’s the one doing the harm” “That’s …” “Controlling.I know but Boss Ralph saved my life also, took care of me till I could walk again .I owe him more than my loyalty “Actually she sounded like she owed him her life . I decided mentally to ask about the last part of her statement, but not today. “You never speak much about him” “Drink your tea ,Estella. It’s

Ralph’s pov Inside the living room I sat in,the only light came from the dying embers in the fireplace and the amber glow of the whiskey swirling in the crystal tumbler I drank from.I was a man accustomed to absolute control, a ruthless architect of fear, yet tonight,my empire felt hollow. The stark reality of the basement—the stolen life I had placed there—pressed against my mind with the force of an oncoming storm.I wasn't supposed to feel.I was supposed to break Arman by breaking her. Yet, while drinking alone, the terrifying realization set in: I was falling for my hostage. It started as a simple obsession, a need to possess something untainted by the blood-soaked world I inhabited.I had intended to use her as leverage, a pawn in a brutal game of territorial supremacy. But the "dark romance" was shifting; the cold, granite hardness of my resolve was softening, cracked by her defiance and quiet resilience. As the liquor warmed my throat, the image of her face ,angry, and undeniab

Estella’s pov The transition from the depths of a forced, heavy sleep to the chilling reality of captivity was never gradual; it was a violent rupture. The first sensation was not sound, but smell—a faint, antiseptic tang mixed with the suffocating scent of stale, expensive perfume that clung to the velvet curtains. I was hovering somewhere in the gray zone of a dream, trying to cling to the warmth of sleep, when the sudden, sharp scent of lavender soap alerted me to my presence. A trembling hand touched my shoulder, bringing with it a shock of cold. My eyes snapped open, fighting against the heavy haze .Above me stood a the timid maid , her face pale, her knuckles white as she clasped her hands in front of her crisp white apron. "Miss... Miss, I am sorry," she whispered, her voice barely audible, vibrating with fear. "He—He sent word. It is not time for breakfast." I tried to sit up, but my limbs felt weighted, unresponsive, a lingering effect of the wine I took last night du

One month later: Arman’s pov. I had grown into an alcoholic-it’s been one month since Estella got kidnapped and I was losing my mind. Two weeks since we ordered a bust on the Genovese and it had only made them go MIA. Father had mentioned that they might’ve gotten an Intel and made sure nothing or anybody important was left in the crime scene during prior house to the bust.I didn’t even want to think about Estella being the price for their silence. Every search I made on Ralph turned to a dead end.I thought of Checking overseas, nothing still,no flight tickets ,no restaurant bills that could leak his or Estella’s location. The amber liquid, I drank, usually a balm for a tense day, felt hollow, acting as fuel for the fire of anxiety burning in my chest. My lover—the only fragility in my ruthless existence—was gone, snatched from a world I had promised to protect her from. I stared at the empty, plush chair across from him, imagining her there, perhaps wearing that soft shirt j

Estella’s pov The heavy oak door groaned, a sound muffled by the thick, velvet curtains that shrouded the room in perpetual night.I was jolted from the floor I’d slumped in minutes ago after trying to plead with Jaya few minutes ago ,but all to no avail , my wrists aching from hours of being bound—-courtesy to my erratic response when Ralph had mentioned spending the night with me.As the master of the house entered, bringing the scent of expensive cologne and cold rain. This was the moment I had dreaded, moving from the holding room to the center of his power—the opulent master bedroom. He moved with a quiet, menacing authority, his presence dominating the space. "It’s time," he said, his voice a low, smooth contrast to the terror screaming in my chest. I was forced to walk ahead of him,the plush, white carpet silencing my steps, feeling entirely too soft against my battered feet. The room was massive, designed for luxury that now felt like a gilded cage. A massive king-sized bed,

Arman’s pov By the time we got back to our hotel, everyone was worn out from the activities of the day including Estella.I scooped her up in a bridal style as we made a turn to our room, her giggles tearing my ears as I did so. “I’m so sorry about tonight”I conceded in a mumble. “Make love to me
