CHAPTER 2: OUT OF A W*****N.

NEW YORK_ Crescent memorial hospital.

Two men walked out of the VIP section with some other bulky men walking behind them like bodyguards, even though the bodyguards were also considered good-looking, the two men who walked out first had face that could make a lady pee on her body, handsome and prominent faces, tall and lean masculine figure and fit bodies.

They looked like model characters that walked straight out of a w*****n.

As they walked towards the exit with the medical staffs bowing at intervals, a doctor flew out of nowhere and came running towards them, he managed to reach them before they reached the exit as he panted heavily.

" Where were you?" One of the model-like men asked, he had a long, black hair that reached his shoulders with perfect dark eyes.

" I'm really sorry, Mr Knight. I....I was in the emergency, a surgeon just told me you and Mr Maddox came by and I swear, I came by immediately. Please pardon my insolence, sir." The doctor pleaded and the black haired guy sighed and turned to his other friend, no doubt that one was more gorgeous.

He had a brown hair with bright golden eyes that seemed to shine, with just a single glance at his face, one could tell which type of a person he was, unfriendly. He had a type of aura and demeanor that screamed wealth, power and royalty.

The poor doctor wanted to look at his face and apologize but he just couldn't so he simply stared pleadingly at the other black haired man, Carter Knight who had a more friendly face.

" Ian, let's just go check what we came for, just leave him alone today, he's always clumsy, hm?" Carter said and without a word and to the doctor's relief, they turned.

" Please, allow me to lead the way to my office, sir. I have all the required data ready." The doctor giddily said as he led the way to his office and the men behind him silently followed.

The golden eyed man, Ian, stared at Carter, they looked like they were saying something within themselves as they locked gaze, Carter nodded and called the doctor.

" Are you sure there's no patient or anyone with you?" Carter asked calmly.

" Of course, sir. No one at all." The doctor immediately nodded, holding his office door open as they entered one by one with only the bodyguards standing watch outside.

" Where are your Beta and Gamma?" Carter asked and Ian cast him a blank look.

" Are you just waking up?" He scoffed and Carter hit him. " They were disturbing so I sent them to make arrangements for our return."

Delilah sighed and groaned, already getting angry as she stared at her wristwatch, it was getting late and still, the nurses weren't getting back to her, she had been in the waiting room but no reply.

She kind of noticed the way the nurses and doctors looked stiff and too much professional than usual as they attended to patients but didn't had an idea, why.

When she couldn't take it anymore, she stood up and walked to her doctor's secretary. " Hey nurse," she called and the lady looked up with her usual smile.

" Please, what about Doctor Mike? I've been waiting for quite a long time now, it's evening already and yet, I haven't been attended to. You know me and you know this is not my first time here, he gave me an appointment so what's wrong?" Delilah snapped and the nurse rubbed her palms together, pleading with her silently.

" I know that, of course but please, you'll be attended to soon, you just need to exercise a little bit of patience. Doctor Mike just finished a very crucial surgery and he's in a meeting with the bosses now, he'll be back soon." The nurse calmly said and Delilah heaved.

She wouldn't have minded waiting if not for her aunt who'd give no care if she was still outside or not as she'd have locked the door till the next day.

" Alright, I'm still waiting please." She said and the nurse replied with a gentle smile.

Delilah returned to the waiting room but after a good thirty minutes, she stood up and walked up to the nurse who was having a remorseful look on when she saw Delilah's worn out face.

" Nurse, can I at least just take a glance at his office even though I won't see him? My coming here can't just be in vain, please." Delilah scoffed, her lips already looking chapped since she hadn't even tasted water since she left her work place in the afternoon.

Her phone had been buzzing in her small hand bag that she crossed around her neck but anger never let her bothered to check.

" You can but please stay off his office if you hear voices there, you can just stroll around the area. Remember I told you he's in a meeting." The nurse reminded and Delilah nodded, knowing deep down, the nurse wouldn't have agreed if not that she pitied her.

Delilah walked like a boss as she passed several offices with name tags of the different doctors on them, she halted when she saw her doctor's name tag and she pressed her ears on the door, according to what the nurse said, if she heard several voices, she'd leave.

" I can't hear anything." She frowned, pressing her ears more deeper into the door that her small ears turned red.

" Omo! I still can't hear anything." Sighing, she now spread her arms on the wall like she was getting nailed and folded her ears more deeply into the door.

Her emerald green eyes which had been dull since her day started brightened up when she finally heard a voice, no voices.

" This ain't Doctor Mike's voice." She thought.

" We'll be leaving tommorow at dawn, right?" Someone asked, a masculine voice, a deep one.

" We'll be leaving tomorrow for sure but I don't know when, things may come up anytime but we're leaving tommorow." Another replied, this one was sounding more deeper and colder.

Delilah was hearing more when a hand grabbed her from behind all of a sudden and a loud shriek left her mouth out of shock but she still turned around to see who it was, Doctor Mike was standing behind her with widened eyes like saucers, he seemed to be telling her she's gone and dead with the sheer look of horror in his eyes.

They heard footsteps from within the room and Doctor Mike lifted her, running as far as his legs could carry him into the nearest office and thankfully the owner of the office wasn't around.

" What's wrong?" Delilah mouthed at him from behind the curtains where they hid but he palmed her mouth with his palm instead.

" Stay here and don't you dare come outside till I come to take you myself, do you understand?" He gritted quietly and she immediately nodded.

Doctor Mike released her mouth, stood up, gave her a short glare with a shake of head as he straightened his coat and left with a fake smile on his face

" Why's he acting so weird? Are there gods in his office or something?" Delilah hissed as she rolled her eyes when she remembered Doctor Mike's action.

Sighing, she stood up but the pain that suddenly jolted within her sent her back to the ground and a groan left her lips.

That strangling pain was back, the pain she had been nurturing and going through since she was a mere child came again, sweats covered her face but she stood up and walked to the door, opening it noiselessly, she couldn't die there, could she?

What she had even came for had been answered, she couldn't survive without her drugs so what exactly was outside that she'd be scared for?

Even with all those thoughts in her head, she poked her head outside and looked towards the doctor's office direction, he was talking with some men and was bowing countless times with each words they said.

Her gaze weren't even on her doctor again but those gorgeous men, she noticed her blonde hair was flying outside the door but she quickly pushed the waves behind her.

They were already leaving when one's head suddenly snapped towards her direction and she hid behind the door, her weak heart thumping while she held her breath fearfully but there was no one coming in.

" Delilah, Delilah." That was Doctor Mike's voice so she got out of her hiding place to meet his glare.

" What exactly are you looking for? Didn't I tell the nurse not to allow anyone in?" He frowned and she bowed apologetically.

" Please don't get angry at her, I pestered her till she gave in, I just came to ask if I could stay for a while without my medications till I get money, can I?"

" You can't, Delilah and you know that, I'm sorry to say but you'd die in any time if you ever try to resort to doing that." Doctor Mike replied bluntly and Delilah's face fell, her green orbs were turning glassy with tears.

" But what do I do when I don't even have any money? What?" She burst into sobs.

Doctor Mike watched her for a moment then sighed. " Stop those tears, Delilah. I've known you for quite some ages now so it wouldn't be bad trusting you, right?" He asked and her face slowly glanced up.

" What do you mean?"
