What have she done

the next Monday

Roseline walked into the school building immediately after she was dropped off by her guardians. She was welcomed by excruciating gazes that were focused only on her. Her seniors were whispering stuff to each other as they passed by her. She was confused as she stared back at the people who stared at her like they had never seen someone like her before.

She somehow never cared at first, but when the gazes were too heavy on her, she furrowed her brows in confusion. She was deeply confused at the moment. She wondered why they were all staring at her like that. At one point, the group of boys who passed by her smiled mischievously at her, and she frowned at them. She wondered why they were smiling at her like that.

She walked to her class, and immediately she stepped in. She was welcomed by the eyes of all her classmates, who stared at her. She felt like melting at that minute. What is happening? Why is this? Is it time to panic, or was she still asleep? She thought to herself as she stared at them, including her teacher, Mrs. Miller.

"You should report to the principal's office, Roseline Douglas," she said to her, with a frown, as Roseline batted her lashes in confusion. The principal's office? Has she offended anyone? The last offense she committed was just coming late to class, and she knew that wouldn't be worth her going to the principal's office. Then why does she have to visit the principal's office when she has done nothing wrong?

The principal's office

Roseline stared at the corridor nervously as she knocked on the door softly.

"Come in," was the thick male voice she heard that made her jolt a bit.

She opened the door, then walked in. The view she saw made her widen her eyes in shock. Why was Lucian in there? And why was his head bowed like that? Had he committed an offense? Why were two teachers beside the principal? Did they both break something in the left-over room? Something precious that this brat family can't afford? She felt her heart skip a beat as they gazed at her.

"Sir?" She called. She turned to look at Lucian, who immediately shook his head the minute he saw her staring at him in question.

"Roseline Douglas?" He called as the girl batted her lashes over and over again, getting scared by the minute.

"Sir?" She answered.

The principal scoffed as he stared at Roseline and Lucian.

"How shameless are you two?" So shameless." The man sneered as Roseline frowned deeply at what he just said. Shameless? How was she shameless? What has she done?

"You two... How old are you? I am sure you, Roseline, must be twelve or maybe thirteen, and also Lucian Desmond, the same age, no difference, and you two dared to tarnish the image of the school," the principal accused, as Roseline got really confused. What was the principal saying? She thought to herself as she widened her eyes. Maybe they had mistaken her for someone else. She hadn't done something shameless. What problem does she have with the same sex or the opposite? Was it with Lucian? What did they both do?

"Sir, I don't understand," she said.

"Are you going to lie, Roseline Douglas?" The woman opposite the principal yelled at the confused girl.

"What lie? I really don't understand you."

"Show her the picture!" The principal said this to the woman who had cut Roseline off. The woman walked up to Roseline and handed her the phone to take a look at the picture on it. The picture that was displayed on the phone got her extremely shocked, and she widened her eyes, almost falling out of their sockets. This picture?

The picture of Roseline and Lucian kissing That kiss Lucian stole from her How did they get it? Who took this? And why did the person send it to the school? tagged nonsense on it.

"Can you explain that, Roseline?" The principal asked as she still shook her head in denial. This is wrong. Who sent this?

"I... I...I..." She shook her head, speechless.

"Just keep quiet, Roseline," the principal ordered, as Roseline was still shocked. This was terribly wrong. But Lucian should have told them that she was the innocent one. He was the one who stole a kiss, right? Then he should have explained to clear her name. She did nothing wrong.

"Have you gotten both of their parents digits?" The principal asked the other female teacher beside him. The woman nodded her head, calling both of their parents. Roseline was still shocked to her wits, as she was still standing with tears flowing down from her eyes. She felt extremely wronged.

There was a knock on the door, jolting them all as they all turned to face the door.

The door was widely opened, and Kara walked into the principal's office. She found the whole room tense and awkward. She stared at Roseline, whose face was stained with water. Were there tears in her eyes?

"Mr Hemsworth?" She called.

"Oh, you must be Mrs. Douglas," the man said. Kara stared at Roseline, then back at the principal.

"Yes, I am. I hope there's no problem, Mr. Hemsworth," she asked, as the man sighed softly. "Your daughter has committed an offense. An offense that could get her expelled from the school," the woman beside the principal said. Mr. Hemsworth looked at her and told her to shut up. Kara stared at her daughter, who was crying. What has she done? But Roseline wasn't the type to get herself into trouble to this extreme. What had she done exactly?

"Take a look at this, Mrs. Douglas," the man said, showing her the phone for her to check the picture herself. She stared at the picture as she widened her eyes in shock. This...how did this happen? Roseline can never do this. There must be an explanation. A good explanation for this
