CHAPTER FIVE - Caught Up

Soon Lila discovers that the business trip was actually just a business trip to seal a deal and sign some cheques, drink champagne and discuss further business opportunities around art. This meeting was in a luxury hotel and I was always standing beside Alexander like a personal assistant at all times.

“Am sorry I had to bring you out of the studio to this meeting” Alexander said as he leaned down towards her ear and whispers.

“Lila gave a weird look and followed up with a smile, not a problem she said” if this is part of my work with you then I should as well get used to impromptu opportunities like this, she added.

Alexander looked at her with a mild lustful eye as though he was about to do something funny, he walked away from Lila saying “thank you for accompanying me here again, but we have to leave tomorrow so you continue with your work” and the lights faded off.

As Lila made her way back to her quarters after a long day from the previous trip, her mind was spinning with questions. She had seen a side of Alexander that she had never expected, and she wasn't sure how to reconcile that with the man she had first met.

The next morning, Lila woke to find a note on her bedside table. It was written in Alexander's elegant script, and simply read: "Meet me in the study at 11 am."

Lila's heart skipped a beat. She wasn't sure if she was ready to face Alexander again after what she had witnessed some nights before, but she knew that she had to go.

As she made her way to the study, Lila's mind was racing with possibilities. What did Alexander want to talk to her about? Was he going to fire her for what she had seen?

When she arrived at the study, Alexander was already there, seated behind his desk. He gestured for her to take a seat in one of the chairs in front of him.

"Lila," he said, his voice cool and detached. "I'm sure you're wondering why I asked you to come here."

Lila nodded, her heart pounding in her chest.

"I want to make something clear," Alexander continued. "You're here to do a job, and I expect you to do it to the best of your abilities. But you're not here to pry into my personal life or to question my decisions."

Lila swallowed hard. She knew that Alexander was right, but she couldn't help feeling a sense of unease.

"Understood," she said, her voice barely more than a whisper.

"Good," Alexander said, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Because if you can't follow my rules, then there's no place for you here."

With that, he dismissed her, leaving Lila feeling more confused and uncertain than ever before.

As she made her way back to her quarters, Lila couldn't help feeling like she was caught up in a dangerous game with no clear way out.

As Lila made her way back to her quarters, her mind was spinning with questions. She had seen a side of Alexander that she had never expected, and she wasn't sure how to reconcile that with the man she had first met. It was as if she was looking at two completely different people, and she didn't know which one was the real Alexander.

As Lila sat in her room, her mind racing with questions and doubts, there was a sudden knock at her door. Startled, she hesitated for a moment before making her way over to answer it.

Standing on the other side was Alexander, his expression inscrutable as always. Without a word, he gestured for her to follow him.

As they made their way through the winding corridors of the mansion, Lila couldn't help feeling a sense of apprehension. She had no idea what Alexander had in store for her, but she had a feeling that it was going to be something dangerous and unpredictable.

Finally, they reached a large, opulent room filled with all manner of exotic furnishings and decorations. In the center of the room was a large table, surrounded by a group of people Lila had never seen before.

"Welcome, Lila," Alexander said, his voice smooth and insinuating. "I hope you're ready to play a dangerous game."

Lila felt her heart skip a beat. She had no idea what he meant, but she knew that it couldn't be good.

As the group began to explain the rules of the game, Lila tried to keep her mind focused on the task at hand. But as the night wore on and the stakes grew higher, she couldn't help feeling that she was caught up in something far beyond her control.

And as she watched Alexander's cold, calculating gaze, she knew that she was in for a dangerous ride.

As the game progressed, Lila found herself increasingly drawn to Alexander, despite her better judgment. She couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement every time their eyes met, and she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something dark and dangerous about him that she was inexplicably drawn to.

As the night wore on, the stakes grew higher, and the players became more ruthless. Lila found herself caught up in a dangerous game, one where every move could mean the difference between life and death.

And then it happened.

Lila made a critical mistake, one that cost her dearly. Suddenly, the tables had turned, and she found herself at the mercy of the other players, with no one to turn to for help.

As Alexander leaned in close to her, his eyes glinting with a dangerous light, Lila couldn't help but wonder if she had made a terrible mistake by getting caught up in his world.

But it was too late to turn back now.

With a sinking feeling in her gut, Lila knew that she was in for a long better sweet ride with Alexander and his cohort
