CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE - A Night to Remember (continued)

The driver was confused. He knew he had to run for his life. This has been a plan between him and Doyle; she has used him. All she did was give him a big tip, and he agreed to share their location. She insisted it was Alexander's order to make sure Lila was safe.

Immediately after Lila's head was covered and taken away into the black van, he abandoned the car and fled. Doyle had asked the men to kill him to cover her tracks, but he sensed it and ran for his life, but he was already in the mix.

Meanwhile, Lila was regaining consciousness. Things were beginning to make sense to Lila as she recovered from the coma she was in after the shock of the accident that led to her abduction.

As her eyes began to open under the black veil covering her head, she could feel a throbbing pain in her temples. The realization of her abduction slowly dawned on her, along with the memories of the accident that had led to this terrifying ordeal.
