Sunny
"That's good," Shiela said. "How about the assignment? Are you done with yours?"
I looked at Steven's chair and saw him reading a book again—such a bookworm. "Honestly, I finished mine in just a few minutes." I told her as I put my things on my chair.
"A few minutes?" Shiela asked with her shocked reaction. "I do not think you have finished yours in just a few minutes. I finished mine for an hour or two." she added.
Well, without his help, I do not think I will be able to finish my assignments in just an hour or two. I signaled to Shiela to get closer so I could be able to whisper what I wanted to share.
"Yesterday, Grandma was sick. So, I decided to do her work." I started to share the tea.
"So, what is the connection between your few minutes' assignments and your grandmother's work?" she asked with her sarcastic tone.
"My grandmother is working as a housekeeper. The house she was cleaning twice a week was Steven's house." I shared.
Shiela's eyes turned to a big one. She even looks back at Steven, pointing at him to confirm that he is the man we are discussing. "Yes, he is," I answered. "They need a housekeeper because their house is so big, and they do not know how to clean it." I added, spilling Steven's information too.
"Oh my gosh! What a coincidence," Shiela exclaimed. "But if they could not clean their house, why did they not hire maids then? They are rich, and I am sure they can really afford it." she asked, wondering what I did at first.
"I asked them yesterday about that. In their big house, it's just the two living there. They said their parents wanted them to do things on their own if they were living alone." I replied.
"Who is the other one?" Shiela asked, wondering.
"Ahh, it is his older brother. They really look alike, but his brother has better body proportions than he does," I shared. "And his older brother is more talkative than him." I added.
"Oh my gosh!" Shiela said. "I want to see his older brother. He might be the man for me." she added.
This friend of mine has got the guts to say that. Yes, she is Shiela Yu. My best friend. "After taking an interest in Steven, now you are turning to his older brother? Are you a sniper?" I asked her.
She nodded proudly. "Call me a sniper. I prefer talkative than talking to the air." she replied.
"Back to the story, since I cleaned their house. Before I went home, he told me to message him on his Fazebook account when I got home. I did, and he sent me his assignment." I shared.
Actually, I did not want to message him on his Fazebook yesterday. But since I do not want him to wait, if he will, I sent a message saying that I got home safe and sound. He sent me a picture, and after opening it, he sent me his work assignment. He was telling me that I could use his as a reference. Yes, a reference.
"That is why I finished mine in just a few minutes." I told her. Thanks for the said reference.
"He is kinder than I thought." Shiela replied.
"I also think that we should look after him. They shared yesterday that they were not even having a proper meal. They both can't cook." I shared.
"Are you guys done talking about my older brother and me?" Someone asked behind us, and that made us jump in fear.
"When did you come here? You should have told us." I told Steven.
"You guys look like you do not want to get bothered." He answered.
"Anyway, I shared what happened yesterday. You don't mind it, right?" I asked.
"Even if I mind it, you already told her what happened," he retorted. "While our professor is not here yet, come with me to the library. I can get my ID now." he added.
"Okay! You guys can go." Shiela commented and even pushed me away.
Why does she always pull me? I can go and walk fine. She does not need to do that. I should try to do it back to her so she will know the feeling of being pushed. Remember the quote. Do not do anything that you would not want others to do to you. I must make her remember that too. It seems like she forgot about it.
"You will come with us." I told her, trying to get her to come with us.
"Library ID is not that heavy. You guys can get it without me," Shiela retorted. "The librarian will ask us why we bother to go there altogether when he just needs to get his library card?" she added.
Tss. She and her excuses.
"Okay. Let's go and borrow what you want to borrow too." I told Steven.
"You look more confident, huh," Steven commented. "Is it because it is still daylight?" he mocked.
Look who is asking for help to get his library ID. "Get your ID on your own," I told him. "You have the guts to mock and tease me whenever you get a chance. My help is only for those who are kind to me, and you are not one of them." I told him.
"I let you use my assignment as your reference. Is that not enough for you to help me now? You even shared things about me with your friend." he replied, getting back at me.
I glared at him. "You are using it on me, huh," I answered. "I won't ask for your help again and won't accept any of your help." I added.
I am starting to hate this man. After a few minutes, we are able to reach the library. We met the librarian the moment we got inside the library.
"You guys are now early." she said.
"Good afternoon, Ma'am." I greeted her, "We are here to get his ID today. Is it available already?" I asked instead of him.
The librarian nodded her head and opened a cabinet. She put out a pack of library cards. "Surname?" she asked.
"Rendezcah, Ma'am." he answered.
She immediately checked the last part. She took out one of the IDs and handed it to Steven after searching for his name a few times.
"Thank you, Ma'am. Can I borrow books now?" he asked already. The librarian nodded her head. "Wait for me there." he told me before going inside.
"Is he able to finish them in a few days, or is he just skimming?" The librarian asked me.
I shook my head. "No, Ma'am. Trust me, and he reads them in our room every time he has the chance to do it. He even read it in their house in one sitting. He is such a bookworm." I explained on behalf of Steven.
"He must trust you. Making you come with him all the time." she said again.
"I do not even get that crazy. He takes me with him because he's still not close to our classmates since he does not talk much." I explained.
Sunny "I want to buy this chair, and it looks so comfortable!" "Why do we need to buy it when we already have chairs in our house? We do not need it." Steven retorted. Mavin frowned. "I am going to put it in my room, okay?" he replied. Steven shook his head. "No, we won't buy it. You are just wasting money." he said. "Hey! It is my money in the first place, right?" Mavin snarled. "Wait!" I interrupted. "Can you guys please calm down for a second," I added and looked at them one by one. "Calm down. Inhale. Exhale. Calm down. Why are you guys fighting over chairs?" I asked them. Yes, it is Thursday, and I am with the Rendezcah Brothers because they want to buy new things for their house. Actually, I was supposed to clean with my grandmother, but they asked if I could come to buy things since they do not know many things. They claim that they are boys and that they do not know anything about these kinds of things. That is why I ended up coming with them and leaving Grandma at thei
Sunny "Where is Shiela?" I asked our seatmate. I could not see her in our room. Where did she go? "Someone called her from the other section," she answered. "I did not see who called her, but she went out after that." she added. It is one of her friends. My friend is a social butterfly. She knows a lot of people inside this school. She is also a part of the cheerleading squad that represents our school to other schools. If you ask her about someone, she can quickly tell you what their course or department is. But I need someone to accompany me. I need her help today. That is why I am finding her. "Aah!" I complained when I bumped into someone. "Sorry—Steven!" I exclaimed. Maybe he can come with me. He can, right? "What?" he asked grumpily. "Are you okay?" I asked. He is pale. "Do you want me to send you to the clinic?" I asked him. He looks pale. He looks like he will collapse any minute now. "I am fine," he answered. "What were you asking? You have something to say, right?" h
Sunny He was still sleeping when our next professor came, so our professor called for him. "Ah, Ma'am. Bapin, I heard Steven is not feeling well." Marco commented after Ma'am. Bapin called for Steven. "Marco, send him to the clinic if. He should have gone to the clinic right away." Ma'am. Bapin answered. Marco went to Steven and tried to wake him up. Fortunately, he did not say anything and just let Marco help him. Marco did even look at me and signed a thumbs up. I am happy that he is helping me in some way. I do not want to cause more rumors about us. If Steven heard about it, he might get awkward or something. After that, our class continued. "Steven is sick?" Shiela asked while we were fixing our things after class. Shiela was not able to attend the class after the break because of her practice. Their instructor called her. She said they needed to finish their stunt as soon as possible. That is why they practiced and asked for permission from our professors. I nodded my head
Steven "How is your school, Steven?" "Have you gained friends?" "How about your future partner?" "Mom, it is too early for that," I answered one of their never-ending questions. "I went there to study, not to find my future mate." I added. "It is not a university for finding your mate, Mom. I just want to remind you." I reminded my mom. "But, Mom, do not worry too much. He made pretty new friends. They smelled nice too." Mavin commented, spilling the things he should not have to in the first place. What a nosy brother. We are currently in our parents' house. Since it was the weekend, we decided to visit our parents, or else we would get visited by our parents in our home. It is better to see them rather than have them visit us. "Really? How is your health?" Dad asked after sipping his morning coffee. "I am doing well. With the scratches that Beta made, I think he never intended to kill me in one shot. The poison is not that lethal. We need to be sure about human safety at night
Sunny "I want to die. Right now, right here!" I yelled. "Are you sure about that?" Shiela asked me right after. I shake my head. "No! I will just die now, right here. Then, wake up after this subject ends! This is so tiring. This is not Physical Education anymore. Just physical, no education anymore!" I replied. It is our Physical Education, and here we are, not tackling our lesson and making us run for about half an hour now. I do not know anymore if this is part of our lesson or if it is just our professor making fun of us. It's been a month since we started doing this the hard way. "Just faint, and I will do the rest," Shiela suggested. "Or should we tell him that you are having difficulty breathing because of asthma? You know, the typical reason if the subject is P.E." She added expertly. "We both know I cannot act," I answered back. We would be dead meat if our professor caught us lying in 4K, right? "Why don't you just do it? You can do it." I told her with my full support
Sunny "Seriously? He really did that?" he asked, still not believing what I shared with him. Nodding my head furiously, and said, "I am not lying. Steven really did that. He stood up for our section as well as the other sections that were also victims of Mr. Prile." I added. "He does not care about the others, so why now?" Mavin asked. "He is not the type who will stand up for someone, especially when he is not close to them. Why?" He turned to me and asked. I stopped wiping the table. "Why are you even asking me? You are his brother. You must know him better than I do. And if he stood up for us, maybe it was because he could not stand the torture we have been experiencing. If you were in our situation, would you do what he did?" I asked him back. "Of course! The second time I experience that, I will make sure to rebel. Who is he to make me suffer like that? I will make him pay for what he did to me." He replied. "See? Even if you are not that type of person who would not stand u
Sunny "Are you sure that you are okay?" I asked Steven the moment he came out of his room. "I heard from your brother that your fever is coming back from time to time. You need to eat and then drink your medicine afterward." I reminded him. He nodded, not answering. "What?" He asked. "You are staring at me." He added. "You are not answering me. I am unsure, and I cannot pinpoint whether you are good." I replied. I am actually staring at him and observing if he is okay. "May I touch your forehead?" I asked him. "Why would you do that?" He asked back and walked down the stairs, leaving me behind. "I need to make sure you are okay," I replied. "Why is that dog out when it is already night? Their parents must not let it out. Someone was harmed as a result of their irresponsibility." I explained. I could hear him sigh. "Nod is a form of answering. Non-verbal." He said. "Is nodding not enough to satisfy your worries?" He then asked. I nodded. "Yes, that is why you have to answer me wi
Mavin After ten minutes, we reached the school. We can even see Sunny standing beside the gate. We quickly hopped off in our car after I parked it. "Why? What happened? Why are you crying?" I asked. Instead of answering my question, she just burst into tears. I enveloped her in a hug. "Hey, I want to know why. Did someone hurt you or something?" I asked her again. "Let's get inside the car." Steven suggested. I guided Sunny to the backseat of the car. "Steven, sit beside him." I told him. He nodded quietly, and I sighed in relief. I thought he would disagree since he hates this kind of thing. It's a good thing he can understand human things now, or else I might really kick his head out because of his stupidity. We let her cry alone and did not ask for it now. She was crying nonstop, so it appeared to be a serious situation. Why the hell is she crying? I am dying of curiosity. I'm not too fond of this situation, but I must endure it for now. "Here. Drink some water. You have been
