CHAPTER 3

JENNY

I shared a look with Sebastian as Jenny kept on knocking and without a word, I knew what to do.

Quickly, I grabbed every single piece of my clothes and with his blanket wrapped around my body, I rushed for the other end of the room.

“Dad? I need to speak to you” Stacy called from the other side and I didn't even realize I was holding my breath as I watched him dress up.

“Coming Stacy. Be patient” he replied, his voice calm and stable while I on the other hand breathed heavily like I'd just ran a race and he sent me a look before he reached for the door and opened it.

“What took you so long?” Stacy's voice rang from the door while I hid and Sebastian shrugged.

“I was sleeping, Stacy. You don't expect a sleepy person to open the door that fast” he returned and she sighed.

“I can't find Jenny and I've been calling her nonstop but she won't pick up. Any idea where she is?” she asked him and I started to look around the room for my phone while my heart hammered hard.

How could I hear the phone ringing when I was busy getting rammed into by her father?

For fuck sakes, Jenny, you can't let Stacy find out or she'll kill you!

That voice in my head snapped at me again and I stifled a sigh while Stacy and Sebastian conversed.

“Don't let her absence get to you, Stacy. Jenny is going to be fine alright? So don't worry too much and go back to sleep. I'm sure she'll be back soon” he tried to assure her and she grumbled.

“I just can't help but feel worried about her, you know? It's past midnight and she just disappeared without a word” she whined and Sebastian chuckled.

“Come on, Stacy. You're both twenty four years old so I'm sure she can handle herself on her own, alright?” He still tried to get her to leave and silence ensued for a few seconds.

“Alright dad. I'm sure she has a reason so I'll wait for her” she finally gave in and I felt relieved.

“That's better Stacy. Now, go on. Jenny will be back soon” he urged her to go back to bed and she nodded before leaving for her room.

Then he shut the door and quietly, I began to dress up while he watched and I couldn't deny the fact that I was blushing red even though I was in a hurry to return to Stacy before she would grow suspicious.

“What are you going to tell her when you show up?” He asked me as I found my phone and pushed it into my pocket and I shrugged.

“I went for a run because I couldn't sleep?” I asked and he laughed briefly, his voice deep and rich, causing waves of desire to rock through me but I quickly discarded that feeling.

“That's a good one. You can follow the back door to make it more believable” he offered advice and I grinned in return because that was a good idea.

“Thanks a lot, Sebastian and um… goodnight” I said shyly and he gestured at me to come closer.

“Come here Angel” he said softly and I walked toward him. Then he slowly ran his fingers through my hair and I sighed when he briefly kissed me before pulling away.

“Goodnight, Angel. You can go now” he dismissed me after the kiss and with my cheeks still burning red, I nodded and exited the room.

Then I left for the back door and dashed out after closing it shut.

With that, I went around the house and immediately I walked in through the front door, Stacy was waiting for me already and my heart skipped a beat as I wondered if she saw me leaving through the backdoor.

“Where have you been?” She fired right away and I shifted from one foot to the other while I breathed heavily.

“I couldn't sleep so I went for a run but I'm back now so you don't have to sulk anymore” I tried to make light of our conversation and she eyed me before taking my hand and pulling me back to the room.

“You aren't going anywhere anymore. Now get into bed so we can sleep” she ordered and I smiled.

“Yes ma'am” I teased her and she rolled her eyes at me while smiling too.

“Don't make me this worried about you again” She warned and I nodded.

“Of course not, Stacy. It won't happen again” I replied playfully and with that, she joined me in bed and I hugged her as she went to sleep.

I couldn't believe it. What happened between me and Stacy's dad was real and I knew it would change everything between us.

Stacy couldn't find out no matter what but regardless, I couldn't help but wonder… What comes next?

**********

Morning came faster than I expected and after brushing our teeth together, I and Stacy made our way to the kitchen where Sebastian was already whipping up breakfast.

“Good morning, dad. Watchu cooking?” Stacy chirped before hopping on one of the kitchen stool chairs and I awkwardly stood beside her while I internally itched to make eye contact with him.

He finally looked our way and when our eyes met, he seemed distant and cold and in less than a few seconds, he'd looked away.

“Bacon, scrambled eggs and toast. You like that right?” He answered Stacy and she squealed excitedly before nodding in response.

“Of course, dad. Whatever you make is my favorite” she winked and he smiled before turning back to the burner.

My heart fell upon his countenance toward me and I wondered why he would look at me that way when last night, he was acting so warm and sweet toward me.

Deciding to ignore what just happened, I took a seat beside Stacy and in a few minutes, breakfast was ready. In silence, Sebastian served us both and without a word, he left for his room.

Minutes later, he walked out, clad in a suit and when we made eye contact again, he cleared his throat and looked away… once again.

“I'm off to work, Stacy. Take care of yourself” he bid her goodbye and with that, he left. So it was just the two of us and suspecting what was happening, my heart started to crack on the inside.

Was I just a one time fling for Sebastian? How many other women had he done this to? And how could he think it was okay to treat me that way when I was his daughter's best friend?

My phone pinged at that moment and after turning it on to see the message I'd received, my heart fell upon reading it's content.

CHAPTER 5JENNY“Damn! I still can't believe you told Aiden no. He's such a perfect boyfriend” Stacy said as we plated our food at the little party my parents had set up in our backyard, courtesy of our graduation. “And that's exactly why I said no, Stacy. He's too perfect for me” I responded and she turned to face me.“Are you sure that's all, Jenny?” She asked and I sighed. She was always good at reading me.“I just graduated from college and I've got my whole life ahead of me. So marriage isn't the first thing on my mind at the moment, okay? Aiden can't rush me into something I'm not ready for just because he wants it. I love him but no… not enough to want to say yes to marriage with him”I explained how I felt to her without leaving any part out and she dropped her plate of food to take my hand. Then she smiled at me and nodded her head in understanding. “I get you… We've got many years ahead of us so why rush, right?” She tried to relate and I smiled.“Yeah, right” I agreed and

It was finally me and Stacy's graduation, the day we'd been looking forward to for so long and I had every reason to celebrate about becoming a graduate but I couldn't.Because thanks to Sebastian, all I felt were my nerves messing with me and no one even knew he was the reason why I was so fidgety. It had been six months since that night we shared and the morning after that night was the last time I'd seen him until now. ~~Stacy can't know about what we did and between us, it won't be happening again, Jenny. I hope you understand~~That was the message he'd sent to me that morning after leaving for work and even though my heart was broken, I couldn't let it show because Stacy would want to know who hurt me and make them pay.I never sent a reply to Sebastian and I swore to myself to never let anything happen between me and h

CHAPTER 2JENNY “Looking forward to seeing you enjoy my pasta” was the message Sebastian had sent to me and having dinner with him and Stacy was a test on my self control. Every conversation, every subtle brush of I and Sebastian's fingers as we passed a dish to each other and every time we made eye contact… They all felt like they had hidden meanings behind them. And funny enough, he didn't lose that teasing look in his eyes whenever I looked at him. I could feel his gaze on me throughout dinner and I couldn't help but wonder how Stacy didn't notice any of what was going on until it was over. Then it was time for our movie night and finally, Sebastian wasn't going to be there, torturing me with his knowing stare. It was just me and Stacy in the living room and I could relax for the first time that night.“Ugh! You always pick traumatizing movies, Jenny. Are you obsessed with tragic love or what?” Stacy grumbled while placing her head on my thighs as she laid on the couch and I chu

CHAPTER 1JENNYMy walk to Stacy's place was a short and quick one but it was scorching hot and I needed a cold drink already. We always had a weekend girls hangout and this time, she was the host.Sighing in relief, I climbed her front porch and as usual, I pushed the door open without knocking and walked into the large living room but no one was there. Frowning, I pulled my phone out to call her and immediately I pressed the phone to my ear, I froze. Her dad had just walked into the living room, shirtless, and holding a glass of wine, and we were both staring at each other in silence. My phone slipped out of my hand at that moment and Stacy answered the call as it fell.“Hey Jenny, what's up?” She chirped excitedly, her voice reverberating through the dead silent living room, but I couldn't bring myself to speak. I was shamelessly staring at her shirtless father and I couldn't even think straight. “Helloooo… Jenny?” She called again and silence…“You know what? We'll talk when I
