CHAPTER 25

SKYLAR

I’ve been walking back and forth for the last hour trying to press the stupid button to call the elevator. Still I’m standing in the same spot and haven’t been able to lift a finger to touch it. Submitting to his command everytime.

Exhausted, I sat on the floor of the hallway. Stupid Alpha. On top of it all, only Goddess knows where or what he is doing right now. "Think Skylar, Think!" I shout, smacking myself on the head. If the command Was'nt specific enough, Then there's a way around it.

“Don’t follow me Beta, if you do, I will hurt you. Stay out of my way” I repeated in my head over and over. Hopping to my feet, I look at the elevator. “Don’t follow me” I say again under my breath. He went down the lift. Turning on my heels I jogged towards the staircase.

Turning the handle, a bit hesitant but turned the handle anyway pushing it open. Not bothering to take each step, I jump down each set until I’m almost to the lobby level. Slowing myself down on the last set of stairs
