Chapter 85: My Mate's Wife

Kinsey struggled to know where her place was at the moment. Once Fitz returned to the motel where he and Mandy stayed, he called Kinsey asking her to meet them at his brother's cabin. The way Fitz sounded on the phone worried her. His voice held a stress to it that made her wonder if Daniel Everest had reached him before her and Mandy were able to talk to him, urging him to stand up to his father. Daniel was relentless in his pursuits, and right then, Fitz was his main focus. But then, why have her meet him at Dimitri's cabin?

Right before Fitz hung up with her, though, he said something that sent a shiver of cold dread down her spine. "Kinsey, Mandy told me you saw my father's car at the gas station. He's not here for anything good, like to surprise his children with a fatherly visit, I assure you. Be careful.
