5. His Human Mate.

Blake's POV:

'Alpha, we have two unidentified humans entering the pack. Should we get rid of them?' one of my warrior's mind link came through while I was engrossed in going through the week's reports on the pack's daily activities.

Humans?

What do they want in my territory because most of them that came this close to my territory just passed by our little town filled with secrets.

'Describe the humans. What are they wearing, are they holding any weapons and do they look like threats?' I responded to the mind link as I put everything I was doing on hold.

'Well, in simple terms Alpha, they are just two females and I don't see any weapons on them,' the warrior replied and I scoffed.

Another false rude alarm because of two weak female humans wandering in my territory… I continued going through the reports when the same warrior came through again via mind link.

'Alpha what do we do about the humans?' he asked and I grunted in frustration.

Couldn't these stupid warriors do anything themselves??? I sighed sharply.

'Watch them but don't alarm them like that last incident,' I replied to him reminding him of the last incident where they had to chase out a group of tourists in wolf form, hence the humans had to send more humans to investigate the pack of stray huge dogs that lived near our woods…

'Okay, Alpha,' the warrior cut the mind link and I buried my head back in my work when suddenly, my best friend Ryan walked into my office without knocking.

"Hey Alpha, what you up to?" He sat across me, I looked at him with a serious face.

"Hi Ryan, don't you ever knock?" I asked and he scoffed playfully.

"Not unless your mom tells me you have company, I'm good," he winked at me, and I chuckled lightly.

"You are such a dick," I teased and he shrugged casually.

"So, what's for Friday night, anything special?" He leaned back in his seat.

"Nothing, I just want to catch up with work today," I said and he sneered.

"Alpha Blake, work on a Friday, come on, let go to the club, I know some ladies are waiting on us," he said with a smirk and he was right.

We left my office at the pack house and went to the hottest happening club in the pack and that's where I first saw her.

"What do you suggest I do?" I huffed and puffed impatiently because Blaze was more impatient than I was hence he was giving me a headache…

"Let me go talk to them and when the time is right, you will strike your move," Ryan reassured me and he left to go talk to the humans who were being questioned by door bouncers at the club.

Minutes later, we entered the club and I watched Lily from a corner in the bar like a predator carefully hunting its prey… she danced with everyone, she sang out loud, she drank more alcohol than I did that night, she looked like a carefree person who wouldn't judge me because I had beast within.

'Go to her, what are you waiting for?' Blaze groaned with frustration as I watched my prey carefully… I had never been with a human so this would be a first for me, it excited me just thinking about her in my arms.

'Get her or I will take charge and claim her in front of our packmates,' he threatened to humiliate us by showing everyone that the goddess had willed us a weak human. I groaned inwardly with frustration.

Imagine what my packmates would think if they found out Lily was my fated mate.

"Argh," I took a big swig of my whiskey, and the next thing happening, we were grinding against each other's body because her favorite song was playing, and we ended up kissing each other.

When morning arrived, I woke up to her still sleeping, I admired her peaceful after-sex face as she glowed.

When I was down, I found that she was gone and the only thing she left was a blood-stained bedsheet with her virtue on it.

Lily! I searched for her in the coming days but she was gone like the wind without a trace.

Weeks later while I was in my office at home, searching for her address on the internet, my mother stormed into my office with a grimace.

"See what I always tell you about these little sluts you bring into our home," she snapped and I frowned.

"What is it, mother?"

"Well, that human girl with her friend has returned to obviously get money out of you?" She crossed her arms, I immediately jerked up from my seat upon hearing that Lily was back.

"Oh Mother, not everyone I sleep with is looking for money... now where is she?" I stepped closer to Mom and she frowned while tilting her head on one side.

"Blake, she is human and you know our laws," she narrowed her eyes at me, and my heart skipped a beat.

"Yes Mother, I know our laws but I just need to see if she is fine,"

"And if she is fine, what do you do next? uh!" She let out a disapproving look on her face, I knew what she wanted me to do.

"Go out there and dismiss her right now," she demanded.

I scoffed, "It's not that easy mom, Lily is my fated mate," I confessed and her mouth dropped while she stumbled backward.

"You take that back, that weak human can't be your fated mate, Blake," she spat coldly while her eyes flickered.

I scoffed once again. "But she is mother, what do you want me to do?"

Mother kept to herself for a few seconds then spoke to me," Reject her… she is human so you won't feel any different than you are now," she said and I refused.

"No Mother, she is my fated so you have to live with that," I put my foot down and she straightened her face.

"Okay fine, accept her as your mate and watch the council kick you off your Alpha position your late father worked so hard to gain," she turned around. Her threat dropped on me like a ton of bricks, I knew that accepting Lily meant losing my title and that's not what I wanted.

"Fine, I will do what you want," I dragged myself outside of my office and saw Lily cowering behind her talkative friend who did most of the talking.

Oh goddess, she looks prettier than I last remember. My heart started racing wildly wanting to touch her even just a strand of her hair, but Mother gave me that look, I knew I had to let Lily go for her safety and my Alpha ship title.

I recited my rejection vows and saw Lily's eyes shatter into a million pieces while it only hurt me a little because, without Lily's rejection, I was still bound to her.

"You will regret this," Her talkative friend yelled her lungs out as they walked away, I watched her leave without looking back. I wanted to run after her but mother smiled while walking towards me.

"You have done a good job son," she kissed my cheek and left me slightly heartbroken.

How could I just dismiss her like she meant nothing to me? I walked to the winery and drowned my sorrows in half the bottles of wine in the seller…

A few days later, I was feeling a little better and my ex Cindy decided to visit me at home to take me for a walk because mother had told her how I had couped myself in the house since that incident.
