Chapter 38: Dinner

It had been five days, and there was no way I could get out of here. June wasn't in favor of escaping because there seemed to be no way out. Or perhaps she loved it here, safe from the outside world.

I remembered our initial mission was to go to the Ice Valley Kingdom to gain Night Fighters on our side to end Lucifer and his demons. But instead, we were directed to go to Beelzebub. It felt like a distraction; he directed us elsewhere and focused on something that was going to slow us down, slowing down the mission.

Master Yung, or I should say Mammon, had been trying to figure out why he sent us here instead of Lucifer. What was his deal with Beelzebub? Did he intentionally bring us here to separate the team so his brother Lucifer could continue and grow stronger with his evil plans? One thing I had learned about this world we were in was never to trust a devil's son.

The longer we took, the stronger and more dangerous things became for us. This mission was supposed to last for a year
