Little Devil

Lucifer's hand ran through his dear daughter's raven hair like a gentle feather; his bottomless eyes pooling out with endless adoration for her.

Ever since his accident occurred he had not gotten a glimpse of his daughter. But right now he wanted to relish her as much as possible.

Andrew keenly watched over his master's room so no one would cause an interruption to their father-daughter moment. Meanwhile, her Nanny Griselda waited nervously outside. The old woman was sure to die from paranoia right now.

Andrew noticed her fiddling with the hem of her long black skirt while glancing at the door with her scared graying eyes every 3 seconds.

"It's not your fault Griselda, young miss can be really a handful sometimes," Andrew broke the dreading silence sparing a pitiful expression at her.

"But master won't be convinced. I should have kept her close..." Griselda seized her eyes away from them out of guilt. Lucifer's unforgiving nature is a piece of common knowledge and getting a second chance from him was near to impossible.

"So you have grown more disobedient in my absence?" Lucifer asked, his voice turning stern but still held gentleness. Big fat tears rolled down from Alicia's face, meek cries escaping from her quivering lips.

"Alicia is sorry daddy so please don't be mad at me," Alica pleaded, Lucifer's eyes shot up at his daughter's pitiful look. His heart stung with guilt even if he kept a stern appearance.

"I am going to fire your good for nothing Nanny then," Lucifer threatened with a look at the door. Nanny Griselda almost yelped as their eyes met. She immediately lowered her gaze in submission.

"No! Don't fire nanny!!" Alicia's screams resounded in the four corners of the room and escaped even further. She even punched his rock-hard chest with her tiny fists.

Lucifer never in his life had lifted his finger against her. And even rarely raised his voice in her presence. But today's incident was something that gave him a hard time forgiving this little devil.

If she had run into a dangerous person then god knows what dangers might fall on her. The scene of looking at her lifeless eyes ate him within making his heart tremble.

"If you shout at me, your one and only father. Then I am not only going to fire your nanny. I will make sure she won't earn a single penny in the entire country,"

On the other side, Griselda's legs almost gave up on her. She had no children to support her financially and her husband had fallen victim to Cancer. If she lost her job then she might as well kill herself!

Alicia clasped her mouth immediately.

Her father is utterly heartless!

She looked at her father to clarify whether he was being serious or not and much to her dread he was. His eyes never lied.

Her tongue froze inside her mouth as her father continued his unrelenting glare at her. She looked down at her lap not wanting to face him. Lucifer closed his eyes and sighed. He lifted his hands and stroked away her tears.

His calloused hands turned gentle like the morning sunbeam.

"Don't even run away like that..." His harsh demeanor melted away as a big intimidating glacier would melt under the summer waves.

"I won't! I wanted to see Daddy but got lost..." Alicia pouted, making him chuckle.

"If you want to see me just give me a call or tell Andrew just don't run off like that," Alicia nodded obediently.

Lucifer Summoned Andrew and Griselda inside. Griselda followed Andrew like a criminal sentenced to be hanged to death. The aura had turned grim and desolate from Lucifer's sole presence.

"Don't let something like this happen again," Lucifer warned the old woman. She immediately responded that she would not let Alicia wander off like that again. Alica wanted to cry at how pitiful and powerless her Nanny seemed.

"Did you eat your lunch yet?" Lucifer asked turning to Alicia to which she grudgingly shook her head.

"Why?" He spat. Alicia gulped an invincible lump in her throat. He then shot a strangling glare at Griselda.

"Young miss was insisting on seeing you, she even refused to eat unless she sees you...," Griselda said looking as if she was about to collapse.

"That's it. Andrew take her to the nearest restaurant," Andrew immediately stepped forward to hold his young miss but Alica stuck to her dear father like a baby monkey clinging to her mother. She hugged him so tightly that the wounds in his abdomen started to pain him.

Andrew looked reluctant so as to not hurt the little girl's fragile body with his boulder-sized hands. After coaxing the little girl for a while she finally agreed to let her be carried by Uncle Andrew.

They excused themselves and left the room. Alicia hated being carried by others especially Andrew. It's like hugging a god damn rock. Really!

Plus, Andrew behaved clumsily with children. Other children got intimidated by his burly stature and the big ugly scar crossing the left side of his face made him look like a classic Hollywood villain.

"I am really mad at you uncle Andrew," Alicia slouched her back in disappointment. This was enough to make Andrew nervous. Disliked by children was on the top of the list of his fears.

It was absurd as it was true.

"I can get your favorite Cheesecakes," Andrew persuaded. Alicia clicked her tongue and almost facepalmed herself. Yeah, like that is going to get her persuaded. No way!

"I don't want your cheesecakes!" She huffed.

"How about roasted beef-?"

"I am not hungry," She cut him off. Damn it all that crying was for nothing after all. Does he even know much she wanted to spend time with her Daddy? She even skipped school today just to see him.

Andrew's palms started to sweat like a flooding dam. The elevator door opened with a ding and the pale yellow light escaped as the doors split open.

Alicia's eyes widened with mirth seeing the woman inside. It's the doctor who helped her to reach her daddy!
