Lucifer's hand ran through his dear daughter's raven hair like a gentle feather; his bottomless eyes pooling out with endless adoration for her.
Ever since his accident occurred he had not gotten a glimpse of his daughter. But right now he wanted to relish her as much as possible.
Andrew keenly watched over his master's room so no one would cause an interruption to their father-daughter moment. Meanwhile, her Nanny Griselda waited nervously outside. The old woman was sure to die from paranoia right now.
Andrew noticed her fiddling with the hem of her long black skirt while glancing at the door with her scared graying eyes every 3 seconds.
"It's not your fault Griselda, young miss can be really a handful sometimes," Andrew broke the dreading silence sparing a pitiful expression at her.
"But master won't be convinced. I should have kept her close..." Griselda seized her eyes away from them out of guilt. Lucifer's unforgiving nature is a piece of common knowledge and getting a second chance from him was near to impossible.
"So you have grown more disobedient in my absence?" Lucifer asked, his voice turning stern but still held gentleness. Big fat tears rolled down from Alicia's face, meek cries escaping from her quivering lips.
"Alicia is sorry daddy so please don't be mad at me," Alica pleaded, Lucifer's eyes shot up at his daughter's pitiful look. His heart stung with guilt even if he kept a stern appearance.
"I am going to fire your good for nothing Nanny then," Lucifer threatened with a look at the door. Nanny Griselda almost yelped as their eyes met. She immediately lowered her gaze in submission.
"No! Don't fire nanny!!" Alicia's screams resounded in the four corners of the room and escaped even further. She even punched his rock-hard chest with her tiny fists.
Lucifer never in his life had lifted his finger against her. And even rarely raised his voice in her presence. But today's incident was something that gave him a hard time forgiving this little devil.
If she had run into a dangerous person then god knows what dangers might fall on her. The scene of looking at her lifeless eyes ate him within making his heart tremble.
"If you shout at me, your one and only father. Then I am not only going to fire your nanny. I will make sure she won't earn a single penny in the entire country,"
On the other side, Griselda's legs almost gave up on her. She had no children to support her financially and her husband had fallen victim to Cancer. If she lost her job then she might as well kill herself!
Alicia clasped her mouth immediately.
Her father is utterly heartless!
She looked at her father to clarify whether he was being serious or not and much to her dread he was. His eyes never lied.
Her tongue froze inside her mouth as her father continued his unrelenting glare at her. She looked down at her lap not wanting to face him. Lucifer closed his eyes and sighed. He lifted his hands and stroked away her tears.
His calloused hands turned gentle like the morning sunbeam.
"Don't even run away like that..." His harsh demeanor melted away as a big intimidating glacier would melt under the summer waves.
"I won't! I wanted to see Daddy but got lost..." Alicia pouted, making him chuckle.
"If you want to see me just give me a call or tell Andrew just don't run off like that," Alicia nodded obediently.
Lucifer Summoned Andrew and Griselda inside. Griselda followed Andrew like a criminal sentenced to be hanged to death. The aura had turned grim and desolate from Lucifer's sole presence.
"Don't let something like this happen again," Lucifer warned the old woman. She immediately responded that she would not let Alicia wander off like that again. Alica wanted to cry at how pitiful and powerless her Nanny seemed.
"Did you eat your lunch yet?" Lucifer asked turning to Alicia to which she grudgingly shook her head.
"Why?" He spat. Alicia gulped an invincible lump in her throat. He then shot a strangling glare at Griselda.
"Young miss was insisting on seeing you, she even refused to eat unless she sees you...," Griselda said looking as if she was about to collapse.
"That's it. Andrew take her to the nearest restaurant," Andrew immediately stepped forward to hold his young miss but Alica stuck to her dear father like a baby monkey clinging to her mother. She hugged him so tightly that the wounds in his abdomen started to pain him.
Andrew looked reluctant so as to not hurt the little girl's fragile body with his boulder-sized hands. After coaxing the little girl for a while she finally agreed to let her be carried by Uncle Andrew.
They excused themselves and left the room. Alicia hated being carried by others especially Andrew. It's like hugging a god damn rock. Really!
Plus, Andrew behaved clumsily with children. Other children got intimidated by his burly stature and the big ugly scar crossing the left side of his face made him look like a classic Hollywood villain.
"I am really mad at you uncle Andrew," Alicia slouched her back in disappointment. This was enough to make Andrew nervous. Disliked by children was on the top of the list of his fears.
It was absurd as it was true.
"I can get your favorite Cheesecakes," Andrew persuaded. Alicia clicked her tongue and almost facepalmed herself. Yeah, like that is going to get her persuaded. No way!
"I don't want your cheesecakes!" She huffed.
"How about roasted beef-?"
"I am not hungry," She cut him off. Damn it all that crying was for nothing after all. Does he even know much she wanted to spend time with her Daddy? She even skipped school today just to see him.
Andrew's palms started to sweat like a flooding dam. The elevator door opened with a ding and the pale yellow light escaped as the doors split open.
Alicia's eyes widened with mirth seeing the woman inside. It's the doctor who helped her to reach her daddy!
Please comment and write a review of my book thank you!
A delightful smile spread across Angela's lips encountering the little girl she had met a few minutes before. Alicia's smile mirrored Angela's and the girl's eyes danced with innocent joy.Andrew stepped inside the elevator followed by Griselda and a few other men wearing the same back suits as his. Andrew watched Angela from the corner of his eyes. His young miss really seems to like her huh?"Uncle Andrew! She is the doctor who helped me see daddy!" Alicia cheered looking intently at Angela as if she wanted something from her."Thank you for taking care of Our Young miss," Griselda thanked her on behalf of Andrew."No, it was no biggie," Angela said, her smile turned awkward all of a sudden. She was going to head to the Cafeteria for some lunch.Since had skipped her breakfast and her hunger surged inside her belly. It was a surprise that no one heard her stomach growling grumpily for some food.A
*DING*Angela stepped outside the Elevator to the VIP section, her strides grew heavy as she closed in with Lucifer's room. Suddenly, she bumped into an unfamiliar face."Sorry," It was a man; wearing a long black baggy hoodie under his grimy green Janitor's clothing. His hood hung low covering the portion above his nose.He excused himself and proceeded to the stairs. The elevator was empty...why would he take the stairs? Maybe it's because it was mainly reserved for Doctors and other visitors or perhaps he had to clean the stairs.Nevertheless, she overlooked it. She approached the door to enter the pin and unlock it. A head cocked out of the stairs reading her fingers as she pressed the numbers. "2 5 8 6," He said to himself repeatedly until it was engraved in his memory. The double doors slid open and she entered the room."Mr. Camphell? Are you here?" She asked, noticing the bed was empty.
Angela stood on the far corner of the compact Elevator. She couldn't explain how embarrassed she felt. She wanted to argue with Lucifer but she didn't want to disturb the patient's rest.If it wasn't for that then she probably wouldn't back down from using her sharp tongue. The elevator door opens up to the second floor.Angela's attention shifted to Dr. Leon. He entered and leaned to the corner opposite her for some support. He clung to the cold side like a lizard, his eyes fatigued."Did you eat yet?" Inquired Angela. Dr. Leon groaned."No, not yet. I had an emergency patient and couldn't even sit down," Being a doctor is such a hard job. He had run back forth from each ward to check on the patients and help prepare medical reports for Dr. Davis."Then go and eat," Urged Angela, feeling Sympathetic. Poor Leon. He must be bullied a lot by the seniors. She had to face that a lot when she worked as a
"What is going on here?" Andrae jolts towards Angela grabbing her shoulders. Keeping the gun pointing at her head he yelled. "Stay right there or I'll shoot her!" "No don't!" Cried, Dion. As if Dion's legs turned themselves into stone, he froze on the spot. Sweat prickled his skin like needles, his eyes swung from Andrae's to Angela's like a pendulum. "Don't you dare touch her!" Lucifer barked with a seething glare. If this fucker shoots her then he will make him regret being born in this world. Andrae paid no attention to Lucifer as he was plotting a way to escape right now. He couldn't bring himself to kill Angela but he needed Dion out of the way so he could escape without being caught. But that would be impossible since there are too many people present here. Or he could just escape by the deserted stairs. Suddenly, Angela knocked her elbow into Andrae's diaphragm. He gaped painfull
Angela stood at the entrance watching Andrae being taken by the police. She had requested them to go easy on him because of his injuries.Andrew had abused him so hard, one more punch and Andrae would be granted a one-way ticket to heaven. She had also asked the cops if he could get bailed. It was permissible since he is a minor but since it's a murder attempt it would become hard for him to get bailed."Are you worried about that kid?" Asked Dion looking down at her. Upclose he could measure her height which was around 160cm. Her reached head was just below his shoulder. He found her short height kinda cutesy."Mhmm" She answered bluntly. Andrae turned towards the glass pane at the back of the police car. He smiled at her. It wasn't a malicious one rather It was a warm and genuine smile. She smiled back and the car disappeared into the further distance.Dion rubbed his temples frustratingly and asked. "H
After parking her white Audi in the garage Angela climbs out of the car. It was pretty dark outside since it was almost 9 pm. She entered the passcode making the front door open with a chirp. She switched on the lights, and the lights that fell from the ceiling was a pastel shade of yellow. Her house brightened up to guide her to the Kitchen. Her house wasn't too big or extravagant compared to other penthouses. Since she was living alone she wanted a house suitable for two or three people. The walls of her house were themed of peach, white, and rose gold. The warm colours added a feeling of cosiness to her house. The house had all the facilities she needed even a mini sauna... Anyway... Angela opened the fridge to cook her dinner, there were some eggs and veggies so she decides to make sunny side-ups and salad. But first, she had to quench her thirst from the long drive. After gulping down a bottle of cold water, she
Two weeks Later Outside the Hospital front entrance, a group of upscale sleek black cars was neatly parked in a series. Lucifer stepped outside wearing a casual black shirt covering his plastered body underneath and, black pants which enhanced his long legs. To complete the outfit he wore shiny black loafers making his overall appearance casually sexy. Angela followed behind to send her annoying patient off. Lucifer turned to her, showing off a foxy smile. "Then I'll be leaving now, hope you did not have a hard time tending me, Dr. Colton," Lucifer sounded polite with those words, but the mockery hidden in the tone could only be identified by Angela. "No, not at all, Please take care of yourself from now on. And try not to end up in the hospital again," Angela mimicked his exact tone and he caught it instantly. She cannot go through all his bullshit all over again so obviously, he didn't want him to be hospitalized again.&nbs
"Dr. Angela is one lucky Doctor! Not only did she save the CEO but also received such an upper-class gift!" Nurse Alina chirped in a pitched voice. "Do you think he has a thing for Dr. Angela? I heard he is quite resilient towards women, even if they are beauties," Leon butted in. If that is true then Angela got a killer shark in a sea full of puny fishes. Lucifer Camphell's face appeared in every Business Magazine and also once titled the sexiest man of the year. "I think he just expressed his gratitude," Alina ignored Leon's pointless statement. There was no way such a prestigious man would fall for a mere doctor. "Besides, he has a child and he is also a divorcee." Dion observed all the worthless gossip between those two. He felt an inexplicable jealously hearing about Lucifer giving off such pricy things to Angela. He knew Angela wouldn't accept those gifts, but he couldn't help himself from feeling dejected. Angela did n
