I'd always known my mouth would keep getting me in trouble because it was hard to control and it wasn't any different this time cause the words that exited my mouth made Vince stop in his tracks. "Fuck you."

It seemed like Deja Vu with what happened with Alessandro some months ago. Vince sucked in a sharp breath, turned around in a swift move, and stalked towards me in long strides. "What the fuck did you just say?"

I was caught between repeating what I said or just letting it go. I was certain Vince didn't care about me, but it seemed like Romano didn't want me hurt and wouldn't allow his brother to do so, which was why I settled on, "You heard what I said."

As he raised his hand, I cowered, waiting for the hit, but it never came. When I opened my eyes, I saw that Romano had Vince's wrist in his hand. Vince glared at his brother. "Let go of my hand."

Romano gritted his teeth in return. "You will not touch her. She's mine and you should respect that."
