CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN.

"I'm proud of you." Brandy said, entering her kitchen. She leaned on the wall looking at Pearl, Pearl was busy washing dishes.

"Hey." Pearl said, turning to face Brandy. "Proud of what?"

"Proud of what you did for Coco." Brandy moved to the refrigerator, opened it, brought out yoghurt, sipping to her satisfaction.

"I didn't do anything special." Pearl said. "Sincerely I wish there's a better way I could have apologized to Coco for everything that happened in the past."

Brandy reached for the bread on the table and fed on. "This one you did is everything to Coco. The best thing you can do for Coco is being a loyal one. So that act of loyalty, makes up for everything you did wrong."

Pearl turned to face the sink, rinsing the dishes. "Coco has so many enemies, sometimes I get scared of being close to her."

"Why?" Brandy asked.

"I get scared I might be harmed by her enemies." Pearl said. "If they come for her and don't get her, they might come for me inside."
