Disdain To Desire Chapter 5: Black Coffee
Ruth had just gotten back from shopping with Ava.She was so exhausted after the shopping that she went straight up to her room and slumped on the bed tired. She had told Ava about her starting work on Monday. That was the biggest mistake she made that afternoon because Ava forced her to buy a lot of office wear.Ruth smiled, reminiscing about the moment. It felt so good to finally have a friend. She still missed her parents though, but the Sinclairs made sure she didn't lack anything. She was grateful for that. She soon fell asleep. ..It was Monday and Ruth was going to start working. Ava had made it upon herself to dress her up for her first day. She believed that first impressions last forever, so she has to make her look extremely hot. Ruth screamed as she looked in the mirror after Ava was done with her makeup."What's wrong? Fred watched as Ruth laughed. She seems to have forgotten about her grief for some time. He had called his wife and told her about the situation. She had advised him to bring her to their house where they'd all look after her. Ava was the most excited. She took it upon herself to arrange Ruth's bedroom. She had gone shopping and bought a lot of clothes, shoes and purses for her. They were all happy to receive her. But there was Ethan, acting cold as always. Or even more. Fred had noticed how passionately Ruth talked about finding a job. He thought to ask Ethan about it. He stood in front of Ethan's room contemplating whether to knock on just go back. While he was still at it, the door opened and Ethan appeared. "Dad?""Hey son, I was hoping I could talk to you about something" "Come in," Ethan said. Fred stepped into the room and turned to Ethan. "I want to ask you for a favor" Ethan raised an eyebrow "About Ruth" Fred added."What about her?" Ethan asked. "Can you give her a pos

"You're here". Ruth turned to the direction of the voice to see a girl around her age standing with her arms crossed. The girl walked further into the room and soon got to Ruth. "Hi I'm Ava" she extended her arm for a handshake. "Ruth," Ruth said, accepting the handshake."So do you like the room?" Ava asked, smiling. "It's lovely. Thank you." Ruth replied. "I'm glad you liked it. I took extra time to design it. I don't know if you're a girly girl or just a girl so I chose white and black for the interior mixing both professional and casual"Ava gushed excitedly while advancing towards the bed. She sat down on it and tapped the empty space gently "come sit" Ruth walked towards her and sat down beside her. Ava took her hand and said "listen, I'm so sorry about your parents. I know you must be feeling so much pain inside you".Ruth hung her head low,her eyes getting teary. "Listen, unlike everyone, I won't tell you not to grieve over them. You should cry out all the pain inside yo
