"Are you fully packed?" Noah asked me as we trotted our luggages outside the dorm to where the buses were parked. It's officially the day of our school trip and for the love of god, I'm not in any way prepared for it but as usual, I have no choice.

I had spoken to my mother about it and her only advice was that I should be careful like it isn't as easier said than done. She had tried to comfort me and told me that I could reach out to her whenever I needed to speak to her.

Moreover, she also told me that the investigation for the murder was underway and she could feel a breakthrough coming very soon.

I also wish that everything happens as she had hoped it would so that I would be able to leave this pretend life and bid it farewell for good.

The thought of living on the edge because every moment, you're scared that someone might figure out your identity is not a life I'm particularly proud of. It's exhausting and mentally draining so the sooner it ends, the better.
