Divina

"You ungrateful bitch, what the hell are you still doing on the bed by this time of the day? Who the fuck do you think you are? A princess? Get off that bed, go to the kitchen and make yourself useful, you wolf less girl! A shame and disgrace all in one. Stand up now and go get the pack's breakfast ready!"

Mother's voice thundered in my sleep. That had to be a terrifying nightmare. I continued sleeping until cold water came crashing on my body. I jerked up immediately staring with eyes wide with fear. Oh God, I have over-slept more than my usual time.

I fell on my knees in an instant, a sob breaking from my lips.

"I'm so sorry," I pleaded, as tears rolled out of my eyes. I didn't want to be caned again. My whole body was already sore from that of yesterday.

"Get out!" Mother yelled back at me with angry eyes almost about to hit the basin which had contained ice water on my head. I tried ducking but it was already too late as the basin had already collided with my head giving me a sharp early morning headache to start my day. More sobs.

I rushed out hurriedly knowing fully well that mother was behind me and I need not make her angry again. I entered into the pack's kitchen. It was still very early in the morning, everywhere looked so dark and most werewolves haven't risen from their beds yet.

I am Divina Jade, an omega. I have no right to voice out my feelings or else they will throw me to the city's mine, and that has never been my wish.

Tears ran down my cheeks again and I wiped it with the back of my palm.

As I strode into the kitchen, it gave a dark view. The lights weren't turned on and I was so scared of the dark. I had to stop walking any further. The light switch was still quite far from where I stood.

"Why aren't the lights working? How can there be light everywhere else but not here in the kitchen?" I whispered to myself as I summoned courage and was about to enter the kitchen when a hand dragged me harshly.

I screamed, but my mouth was covered immediately by a huge hand. My eyes widened in fear. I struggled to break free from whoever was dragging me into another room.

"Let go of me. Someone please help me." I shouted helplessly even though I knew it was futile since everyone was asleep and everywhere was too quiet and lonely.

Where was mother? Wasn't she just behind me?

The hand dragging me was so big and strong, I knew it had to be a male. All my screams and shouts came out muffled.

We were inside a dark room now and with a heavy force, my back was slammed into a wall and the pain was excruciating that I had to bite my lips harshly to prevent tears from falling.

I tried to struggle even with the pain when a heavy slap landed on my face. My hair was all over my face and the slap made me stop struggling as I hissed with pain, holding unto my cheeks.

I screamed again, but he was quick enough to use his hands to gag my mouth. Who the hell was he? I was so scared. I raised my head up, the room was dark. I stared at the man's shadow.

Why did he look so familiar?

My eyes weren't as great as most werewolves in seeing through the dark but I could have sworn that he looked so much like my brother Bernard. He was the soon-to-be Beta of the pack.

My brother, Bernard, was yet to find a mate for himself. He is almost 29 years now and hasn't been blessed by a mate like the Alpha's son.

He had always been pampered, spoiled by mother and that made him so arrogant and evil. The same goes with my sister, Shea. Although Shea was a lot better than Bernard or so I thought.

My father before he died was a good man. He always brought me flowers and chocolates whenever he came back for his travels. We were all happy and mother never treated me this way then. She was like a mother I never had.

After my father died my life came crashing down. Father had died on the night of my eighteenth birthday, he was so excited for me that I would finally be able to see my wolf. Back then, I was glad to see the excitement on daddy's face.

Shea had complained that he wasn't this excited on her own eighteenth birthday when she had seen her wolf. That was the night that my life came crashing from a place so high. I knew I was in trouble when I saw the angry and jealous glint appear on both Mother and Shea's face.

That same night, Father went out to pluck my favorite flowers which grew in the border of the pack. A group of rogues attacked the guards that were on patrol and father wasn't so fortunate. It was a black night for us. My family blamed me for his death and I blamed myself too. If only Father wasn't too excited to get me those flowers. If only they weren't my favorite.

I hated myself more when my wolf didn't surface. I cried that night like I've never cried before. As I remembered the way my father's body lay there in the pool of his own blood.

His eyes wide as if he was taken by surprise. I cursed myself so much and I hate my wolf too for deciding to fail me. The moon goddess has never been good to me. I am a wolfless omega. A shame.

Since then, my family has been worse to me. No day passes by without my pillow soaking in tears.

Bernard had always been given the best things in life, and he was my worst bully. He was the first wolf in the pack to make my life more unbearable, and this made him my worst enemy. For him to drag me to this room meant one thing, he wanted to give me trouble.

I raised my head fully. Now staring at his face.

He was two feet away from me and I was grateful for that. At least, I was able to breathe. Even though I knew how much of a trouble that I was in.

"Can I help you with anything, Beta Bernard?"

I said with my voice low, hoping that my voice didn't come out weak or worse, rash.

Bernard had taken this beta position seriously and anything that has to do with him, I need to be very careful so as not to talk rashly. He was a walking devil in human form.

I wasn't ready for what he was about to do. He strode towards me, caging me to the wall. His hand wrapped around my neck as he tightened his hold. I shook with fear as I never expected such actions from him. It wasn't the first time he had come close to me but he was too close now and it was terrifying.

What was he doing? Isn't he satisfied with bullying me always and now he is acting like a pervert.

He forcefully used his hand that was holding my neck to raise my head up, making me look at him straight in the eye.

"Hi, sis, who would have thought you had the nerve to try to fight me back? You shameless omega." He paused his sentence midway, I felt his intense glare on my face.

"I came to remind you of this night when we will find our mates. Considering the fact that you will be rejected by your mate if you would likely be gifted one. Nobody will accept a weak wolfless Omega like you."

That hurt. Yes, I knew no one would accept me as their mate but I've known that since when I found out I was wolfless and I was an Omega but what was he driving at. The other part of my mind already knew where this was going.

"I came here with a proposal sis," He continued, I knew he had that mocking grin on his face.

"If I find my mate tonight, I promise to give you a position to be my concubine and sex mate."

My facial expression changed to that of disgust. I already saw this coming, didn't I? Yet, I couldn't help but be shocked.

How can he be this shameless to have spilled out such nonsense from his mouth?

He was already twenty-nine years old. Most of other wolves his age found their mates when they were eighteen.

From what I heard, mates were blessings from the moon goddess. Bernard had the guts to say he would want to have me as his sex mate alongside his mate. That's insane. He was always supposed to be faithful to his mate.

"Don't worry I will save you whenever the Alpha wants to throw you to the mine for being mateless," He kept sprouting, offering me a devious smile.

"What are you even saying?" I asked, trying to be calm, which was so hard.

His other hand tucked my hair behind my ears. "I wouldn't want to waste your beauty and it will be a privilege for you. I mean it's not everyday the soon-to-be Beta offers someone, much less someone like you, this kind of privilege. Trust me, all unmated females want to be in my bed. I'm already imagining you under me. Would you like it slow, or fast? I’ll be at your command then."

I felt the great urge to puke except there was nothing in my stomach.

Bernard bit my neck a little. I shivered under his touch as I felt something hard press against my stomach. What the hell?

My eyes widened, shocked and disgusted by my brother's act, even though we weren't blood related. With disgust, my reaction towards his sexual approach was even worse than I expected. I didn't know what gave me the courage to do what I did.

Slap.

It echoed loudly in the dark room. Still with that courageous fire running through my veins, I pushed him with a huge force that sent him smashing his butt on the floor.

Marcellous I stood on the training grounds like a fucking statue, torn down the center. I could still hear the ghost of her voice ringing in my ears, cutting through the morning breeze like a rusty blade. I'm not fit to be your Luna. "Marcellous, we need to move," Nate said, his voice urgent, his hand gripping my shoulder blade. "If Lilith was released with blood magic, she could be anywhere inside the fortress." Onyx roared inside my head, his dark paws tearing at the back of my mind. Fuck Lilith. Find Divina. And for the first time in my entire fucking life, I was genuinely tempted not to give a single damn about an escaped prisoner. I didn't care about cell blocks, iron bars, or runaway traitors. I just wanted to run through those doors, haul my mate into my arms, and erase every trace of dirt and sorrow from her face. I stared helplessly at the doors Divina had just disappeared through. I’m pathetic. Her broken, sobbing voice replayed inside my head over and over again,

DivinaI slammed the door of my bedroom behind me and collapsed against the wood, sliding straight down to the cold floor.Hot, thick tears immediately burst out of my eyes, pouring down my dusty cheeks in torrents.I hated myself. I hated that I was standing right back in front of the exact same mirror where I had sworn to myself this very morning that I would never, ever cry again. But here I was—a messy, sobbing wreck, my eyes bloodshot and swollen, my cheeks puffed up and bright red.I dragged myself up and stumbled toward the glass, staring at my miserable reflection. Why was I even born? I asked myself, my chest heaving with ragged, broken gasps. What was the point of bringing me into this world, Moon Goddess? Was I created just to be a punching bag for everyone else? Was I made just to suffer, to be useless, and to fail at everything I try to do?The shame was overwhelming. It burned hotter than the dirt on my skin.I reached up with both hands, clutching my dark hair tightly,

  • Divina: The Omega's Awakening   64. Don't Take It Easy On Me!!

DivinaA sudden, sharp sting hit the back of my eyes. A violent surge of anger burned through my chest—not at him, but at myself. I hated that my broken instincts had just exposed my weakness so completely. I hated that I had made him look at me with that gentle, soft understanding. It felt too much like the pity I was desperately trying to escape. I snapped my head back, shoving his hand roughly away from my face with my bare palm. Marcel looked down at his shoved hand in mild shock, then raised his dark eyes back to mine, utterly surprised by the sudden aggression in my posture. "Let's go again," I said, my voice sharp, tight, and cold. Marcel stared at me for a long second before a small, respectful nod touched his chin. He raised his wooden sword once more. "Keep your feet shoulder-width apart. When I swing from the right, bring your blade up at a forty-five-degree angle to block the force." I shifted my feet, digging my boots into the sand, completely determined not to fail

  • Divina: The Omega's Awakening   63. Training Begins

Divina The first thing I noticed when I opened my eyes was the absence of pain. No aching bones. No burning beneath my skin. No bitter taste coating my tongue. I sat up slowly in the giant, soft bed, pulling the silken sheet off my legs. For the first time in what felt like months, my entire frame felt completely weightless, unburdened by the terrifying heat that had gripped my blood during the full moon. My arms didn't tremble. My jaw didn't throb. My ribs didn't ache. I slid my feet onto the floor, standing up straight. I walked silently into the bathroom, turned on the taps, and stepped under the streaming hot water. I washed away the dried sweat, the lingering smell of old herbs, and the exhaustion clinging to my scalp. When I finished, I dressed in a simple, fitted black training top and dark trousers, pulling my hair tightly back into a braided ponytail. I walked out to my bedroom and stopped right in front of the full-length mirror mounted against the far wall.

  • Divina: The Omega's Awakening   62. I Was Done Crying!

Divina "Why's it so hot?" I woke up feeling scorched. My skin felt like it was on fire, covered in a thick layer of sticky sweat. I growled softly under my breath, my hands wildly thrashing against the blanket that covered my entire body, shoving the thick covers off until cold air finally hit my bare legs. "Hello, love." The deep, velvety voice belonged to Marcel. I blinked rapidly, fighting against the blurry haze clinging to my eyelashes until my vision finally cleared. He was sitting right there beside the bed, leaning forward with his elbows resting on his knees. His dark, intense eyes were locked on me, a soft, gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Why am I hot?" I gasped out, my voice sounding raspy, dry, and completely ruined. "And why... why does my body feel so weak? What happened to me?" Marcellous stared at me silently for a moment, his chest rising and falling in a slow, steady rhythm. He didn't answer right away. I turned my head away, my eyes swe

MarcellousI held Divina’s limp, unconscious body tightly against my chest, my heart pounding a frantic rhythm against my ribs.I was fucking furious—and not at her. Never at her.I was furious because I had stood right there in the doorway and watched her drink that damn potion. I had watched her body tear itself apart right before my eyes, her bones breaking, her teeth elongating, her wolf clawing its way out in blinding agony. And then I watched a fucking liquid erase every sign of it within seconds. That wasn’t healing. That wasn’t magic.I didn't need anyone to tell me that it was suppression. It was a violent, unnatural cage slamming shut over her soul.Alicia walked over to the spot where Divina had dropped the medicine on the floor. She dropped onto her knees beside it, her hands trembling slightly as she picked up the small plastic bottle."So she didn't throw this away?" Alicia muttered under her breath, staring at the residue clinging to the plastic. My head snapped toward
