9. Starting to be brave

The atmosphere that morning was so beautiful. Accompanied by a cup of warm tea and the blowing wind brings a cool feeling. Elena closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the view of the small garden behind the house.

"You don't want to go home?" Jayden asked after his hands were perfectly wrapped around Elena's neck. He then kissed the woman's cheek before sitting beside her, taking Elena into his arms.

"Later. I want to be here first," said Elena, enjoying how warm her lover's body was by pressing her body closer. Jayden was like a very sturdy wall for Elena to lean against.

"Okay," said Jayden, giving in. Elena's feelings must still be raging so Jayden has to be more patient.

" I have prepared a dress for you to wear tonight at the party," he said again, making Elena, who was initially leaning against Jayden's broad chest, start to move away so she could look at the man's face.

"Do I really have to come?" Elena asked doubtfully.

"Of course. You will be the most special guest at the party, dear," said Jayden, poking the woman's chin excitedly.

"But, Aria...."

"She will come too."

"And it will be your wife who you introduce to your business colleagues," Elena snorted softly. It was a reality that made her want to eliminate Aria's existence as soon as possible.

"That's only until this project is finished. I promise. After that, you will have the title of Mrs Jayden... the one and only," Jayden said then kissed Elena's cheek anxiously.

Elena's hope seemed to reappear and she couldn't even hide the smile that appeared on her beautiful face.

"Okay, I'll come," he said nodding slowly with a faint smile.

"Then I'll go first, okay. I have to take care of all the party preparations," said Jayden after glancing at his watch.

Elena just cleared her throat looking straight at Jayden who was getting further away from her. Until the man's broad back now completely disappeared behind the door.

Before coming to the hotel which will be the venue for the big event tonight, Jayden first went home. He couldn't possibly come to the hotel in such a chaotic state. This could tarnish his authority as a CEO.

Actually he doesn't need to bother to control everything. After all, he had delegated the job to Roy and Jayden was sure that the man would never let him down.

"Where have you been?"

The first words Jayden heard when he entered the house.

"None of your business!" Jayden snapped without even glancing at Aria.

"Then where is Elena?" This question suddenly made Jayden stop in his tracks and finally turned to Aria.

"Why do you ask? Isn't this what you want? For Elena to get out of this house?" Jayden asked successively with a mocking grin on his face.

"That's what I want," Aria answered without hesitation.

"What?"

"However, that woman is a nobody. So she has no right to live in this house."

"Watch your words, Aria!" Jayden screamed quite loudly.

"And you also watch your actions, Jayden. You still have the status of my husband. You don't want this family's reputation to be ruined when someone finds out that you brought your mistress to live with your wife," Aria replied, leaving Jayden at a loss for words.

Jayden had never seen Aria's figure like now. He turned out to be stronger than expected. Jayden seems to have found a balanced opponent. And it was circumstances that forced Aria to reveal her most selfish and evil side. It was enough for her to cry and be hurt to see the husband she loved making out with another woman in front of her eyes. To fight them not with tears but with a fight back. Aria didn't want to always be under the pressure of that shameless couple.

"Are you threatening me?" Jayden asked as if he didn't believe it.

"If you think of it like that... yes, I'm threatening you, Jayden," Aria replied then walked away, leaving Jayden who could only chuckle a little. How brave that woman was to him now. Damn.

Aria smiled faintly looking at her reflection in the mirror. The dress fit her body very well.

"Are you finished?" Jayden asked just walking into the guest room occupied by Aria. Even though Elena was no longer there, Aria was still reluctant to move, and besides, she didn't have an alibi to return to that room again.

"Yes," answered Aria, smiling sweetly. Jayden continued to pay attention to Aria without realizing it. In her long peach-colored dress, Aria looked very elegant and beautiful. Her makeup was not excessive, making her look like a woman in her twenties. It doesn't even look like a woman who has just given birth. Yes, Jayden admits that Aria's body is fuller, but that doesn't make Aria look ugly at all. In fact, she looks even more seductive.

'Damn! What did I just think?' Jayden mentally shook his head, getting rid of thoughts that he thought were very inappropriate.

"Shall we go now?" Aria asked because Jayden was silent for a long time.

Jayden was confused. "Y-yes. Let's go!" he said walking first. Jayden had to pretend to improve his appearance so as not to appear nervous in front of Aria.

As a couple who will be in the spotlight there. Jayden swiftly brought Aria's hand to wrap around his arm. As usual, when they are in public like now they have to give the best performance that makes everyone who sees it jealous or impressed.
