Zephyr's POV

I sat before the seven councils of the Nocturnal Order, my posture relaxed yet exuding a quiet arrogance. I crossed one leg over the other, not seeming nervous even though the tension was filling the room.

Some of the council members murmured among themselves, clearly unsettled. To them, I was being utterly disrespectful, and they did not take kindly to it.

"Alpha Zephyr, you know why you’ve been summoned before us, don’t you?" One of the council members—Joseph Nash—looked at me

Zephyr's POV I let out a low chuckle. "But isn’t that exactly how this organization works?" I continued, "Money moves everything. Or have you conveniently forgotten the time you came to me, practically begging for extra funding for your mission?"Barbara stiffened, but I didn’t press further. I didn’t need to. The weight of my words was already doing enough damage.Truthfully, I wasn’t upset about the council questioning me over the rogue werewolves. That was their job. What grated on me was the constant disrespect—the way they insulted me at every turn, despite everything I had done for this organization. The real reason they despised me had nothing to do with rogue werewolves. It was because my pack and I had become too powerful, too influential—an economic force that kept this organization running. And worst of all, I had the favor of the Elders. The Elders had granted me unrestricted access to nearly everything—classified records, intelligence reports,

To them, I was being utterly disrespectful, and they did not take kindly to it. "Alpha Zephyr, you know why you’ve been summoned before us, don’t you?" One of the council members—Joseph Nash—looked at me with clear disdain. "I do," I replied, my voice flat, uninterested in the conversation between us. Joseph inhaled sharply before continuing. "It’s been nearly two weeks, and yet we’ve received no progress from you. The rogue werewolves’ attacks on both humans and other supernatural beings grow worse each night. Just yesterday, two more fell victim." "Two victims!" Another council member—Barbara Ruell—slammed her hand on the table. She gritted her teeth, revealing her vampire fangs, though th

My face burned as I traced the marks with my fingertips. I knew they would fade quickly thanks to my werewolf healing, but still! He really needed to control himself! And the worst part? I had barely left any marks on him. My brows furrowed. Wait ... where were the bites I had left? I had bitten him last night—I knew I had—but this morning, his skin had been completely unmarked. My eyes narrowed. His healing must be faster than mine. I huffed, crossing my arms. If that’s the case ... A slow smirk curled on my lips. Next time, I’ll just have to bite him harder. Wait ... Next time? My entire face turned red. I crouched in the bathroom, burying my burning face in my hands. We had just done it last night ... and here I was already thinking about our next time. At this point, I was probably more perverted than that beast. But then again ... who knew what he was thinking? Even during breakfast, his gaze had barely left me, as if he were more interested in devouring me than

I woke up the next morning feeling sore in places I didn’t even know could ache. Blinking against the soft morning light, I pushed the blanket aside and let out a sigh of relief. Zephyr must have taken care of me after I’d passed out—I didn’t even remember falling asleep, let alone cleaning myself up. Yet, my skin felt fresh, and the sheets beneath me were clean. Then, something else caught my attention. What was I wearing? I definitely hadn’t brought a change of clothes, yet here I was, dressed in an oversized white shirt that practically swallowed me whole. The sleeves hung past my fingertips, and the fabric draped loosely over my body, brushing against my bare thighs. Instinctively, I lowered my head, pressing my nose to the fabric. Zephyr. His scent clung to the shirt—musky, with that hint of cedarwood I’d come to associate with his pheromone. My stomach flipped as warmth crept up my neck. He must have dressed me in this after I’d fallen asleep. God. The realiz

Zephyr smirked. "Do you want me to carry you to the bath?"I groaned. "I don’t think I can survive another second in your arms. That’s how I ended up like this in the first place."He laughed, the sound deep and rich. "Fair point." He shifted slightly, pulling me closer, his fingers tangling in my hair. "But you should still clean up before you sleep, sweetheart."I peeked up at him through heavy-lidded eyes. "You’re really bossy, you know that?"I didn’t even understand why I had suddenly started speaking so informally to him, but since he didn’t seem to mind, I saw no reason to change the way I spoke. He softened his smile. "Only when it comes to taking care of you."For a moment, silence filled the room, comfortable and warm. The fire had completely died out.I traced circles on his chest, my voice softer now. "Zephyr ...""Hm?"I hesitated before whispering, "Do you ever think about what comes next? About us?"His hand stilled on my back.

I could barely think, my body arching into him, craving more. "I’m yours," I whispered, my fingers tangling in his dark hair, pulling him closer. Zephyr growled low in his chest. His pace quickened, his thrusts becoming deeper, more intense. The pleasure coiled inside me, building higher with every roll of his hips. His hands roamed over my body, gripping, exploring, owning every inch of me. He kissed me fiercely, swallowing my moans as he drove me closer to the edge. "I’ll make sure you never forget who you belong to," he promised, his voice rough against my lips. When Zephyr told me he wouldn’t be gentle with me in bed anymore, he meant it. He was rough—undeniably so—but never reckless. His roughness didn’t mean to hurt me, it never crossed the line into danger. Every thrust, every touch was controlled, and whenever I pushed him even slightly, he immediately slowed down, silently asking if I was okay. Amidst his desire, I could still feel his tenderness. He would constantly ki

I couldn't help but caress the petals between my fingers when suddenly the office door opened. "Do you like your presents?" Zephyr stood in the doorway with a smile on his face. I turned and replied with a smile. "Zephyr ... these are the sweetest presents I’ve ever received." No one had ever

The writer looked at me with compassionate eyes. She was on the verge of tears, unable to believe that the character she had imagined for years had finally come to life. "I might not have the authority to choose the actor," Celeste said confidently, "but all I can say is… I think you would be pe

Even though five years had passed, my appearance still looked as young as before, and that was one of the advantages of being a werewolf. We weren’t immortal, but our aging process was three times slower than humans. That was why werewolf celebrities tended to have longer careers compared to ordin

I had a really good sleep that night. For the first time in so long, I could sleep next to my mother again, her presence wrapping around me like a shield, giving me the kind of comfort I hadn’t realized I’d been missing all these years. When morning came, I led my parents to the dining room, whe
