Olivia's POV
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the fifth wedding anniversary of Liam Rockwell and Olivia Sinclair!”
The emcee’s voice boomed around the hall as I stood on the stage, the corset of my custom-made gown squeezing my 150 kg body so tight I could barely breathe.
I forced a smile, the same plastic one I’d worn for five years, pretending I was the perfect trophy wife everyone expected.
Liam didn’t even glance at me, not once, he kept his eyes fixed on the crowd, shoulders stiff, like he was embarrassed to be standing next to me and couldn’t wait for the whole thing to be over.
These five years had been hell.
Our marriage was arranged because the Sinclair family modelling agency needed the Rockwell media connection, and Liam needed the shares my father dangled.
My husband never hid how much he was ashamed to be seen with me in public.
I was never invited to family functions and the few times I showed up anyway, all anyone talked about was my size.
“How did she even fit through the door?” “Poor Liam, stuck with the fat one.”
Liam refused to touch me when he was sober, only when he was drunk would he stumble into the bedroom.
“Don’t get naked,” he’d snap every single time. “Your body is disgusting. Just lie there and keep quiet.”
I’d stare at the ceiling while he used me like I was furniture without looking at my face or even kissing me.
Afterward he’d roll off, mutter something about how hard it was to lift someone my size, then leave me alone in the dark.
Every dress I owned had to be custom-made because nothing in the store fits me and designers charged triple because “it takes extra fabric.
I’d stand in front of mirrors and cry, wondering why I couldn’t just disappear.
Tonight I tried to feel pretty. I’d even put on extra lipstick. When the music slowed and couples started dancing, I leaned toward him, hopeful, even though I knew I'd be embarrassed.
I pressed my lips to his cheek as the camera lights flashed our way and he jerked back like I’d burned him.
“What the hell are you trying to do?” His voice was low, venomous. “You want to compress me? Crush me under all that weight?”
My throat closed.
He leaned closer so only I could hear. “Women like you don’t deserve love, Olivia. Look at your sister, Isabella. She's so perfect unlike you. You're so disgusting! You better lose some weight because I’m tired of being tied down to an obese woman.”
I tried not to cry in front of everyone and just smiled as he walked away, pretending he had just told me something sweet.
The emcee’s voice cut through again. “And now, a toast from the family!”
Bella climbed the podium in her shimmering size-zero gown, hips swaying, every eye on her.
I already knew it was going to be bad. She’d hated me since we were children.
My father never hid that I was a mistake who ruined the Sinclair family image because of my size and because I was too big to walk the runaway.
As a result of that, Bella was the golden child, the face of the agency. I was the one they kept hidden.
Bella raised her glass, smiling sweetly.
“To my sister Olivia and her wonderful husband. Five beautiful years.” She paused, eyes glittering. “Though I have to admit, it’s been hard watching someone sabotage the company that keeps us all fed.”
Murmurs rippled through the room.
Bella continued, voice dripping fake concern.
“I caught her myself and I've been keeping tabs on her ever since. She's working with rivals of the Nova group and I saw her emailing confidential merger documents, I have evidence. I shouldn't have said this, but I can't just keep quiet, because brother in-law is a good man and he doesn't deserve what my sister is doing to him”
The plate of chocolate cake I’d been holding slipped from my fingers. It hit the floor with a wet splat.
“No…” My voice cracked. “That’s not true. I would never…”
Liam snatched the microphone from the emcee.
“Not only are you obese, you’re a conspirator.” His eyes raked over me with disgust. “Look at everyone here eating healthy snacks and here you are, stuffing your face with junk like always. No wonder you fart through every meeting. The whole office can smell you coming.”
Laughter exploded around the room.
My knees buckled from shame.
Liam’s voice rose. “In fact, I’m tired. Tired of pretending. What you did is unforgivable. I want a divorce.”
He gestured and his lawyer stepped forward with a leather folder.
“My lawyers have already prepared everything. I signed the papers the very day we got married. I was just waiting for the right moment.”
The folder landed at my feet.
I dropped to my knees, dress pooling around me as tears streamed down my cheeks.
“You can’t do this to me, baby. Please. You know I’d never do something like that. Bella is lying against me! This is all a set up. I've been a good wife, I cook, I clean. Remember when you had kidney failure, I gave you my kidney Liam. I helped you build Nova group to the position it is right now, even when your father didn't believe in you, you can't strip me off my dignity in front of all these people please, Liam”
As I was speaking Liam sank to one knee.
I knew it! My husband would never take my sister's side, my heart leapt with joy, I never knew Liam could kneel in front of everyone to apologize for hurting me.
I was about to rush to him when he pulled out a diamond ring and turned to my sister, Bella.
“Isabella Sinclair,” he said, loud enough for every camera to catch it,
“Thank you for saving my life tonight and for exposing the truth. You're everything Olivia would never be.. Would you do me the honor of making me the happiest man alive… and be my wife?”
Liam's POVWhen I got back to the house, I couldn’t stop pacing around. How did they even meet in the first place? I know that my uncle has been in Italy for the longest time.I picked up my phone and placed a call across to my private agent because he’s been keeping tabs on Theo, but he didn’t give me any information these past few days.“What the hell is going on, Scott? How is my uncle back, and I didn’t get any info from you? And to top it all, he’s married!” I yelled at the top of my voice.“What are you talking about?” Scott asked.“Don’t you dare act dumb, or else you’ve been lying to me this whole time.”“As we speak, he’s still checked in; he hasn’t left his hotel in Italy.” I placed my hand on my head when I heard what Scott said because this would only mean that Theo found out I’ve been following him secretly. I ended the call immediately and flung the phone on the couch.“Liam, it’s already late; I’ve been waiting for you.” Bella said as she was rubbing her eyes tiredly. I
Olivia's POVI tried not to reflect on the past and how I was humiliated by them, but as much as I tried, I couldn’t help but recollect every single memory from that day.“This has to be a joke… Uncle, I think you brought the wrong lady.” My legs were trembling. As confident as I tried to look, I still felt a little inferior. Theodore held my hand immediately; he noticed I wasn’t as confident as I looked earlier.“What do you mean, Liam? I just told you this woman standing beside me is my wife. I lived with Liam for five years, and I could tell his ego was brushed; the woman he condemned has been picked by his rival; he couldn’t hide the anger he was feeling.“Olivia, I knew you could go low to get anything you want, but I never imagined you would do such a terrible thing. You keep embarrassing our family; what is wrong with you?" She tried to fake it again with that baby voice, always pretending to care, but she doesn’t at all.“Liam, it’s your wedding day; that’s why I would spare y
Olivia's POV I was Mrs. Rockwell again for the second time.Theodore and I had slipped into a quiet Manhattan courthouse a few weeks ago and got married. That same afternoon he slid a custom fifty-five-million-dollar diamond ring onto my finger. The real highlight, though, was me.I had been disciplined. Gym. Clean eating. No more punishing my body with neglect. No more excess skin but I still look chubby while preserving the curves Theo said he loved.I’d gone from 150 kg to 100 kg. Over 50 kg gone. My body felt lighter and for the first time in my life, I felt in control.Theo had made sure Juliet came with us. He offered her a senior marketing position at Apex Global Media, six times her old salary with a fully furnished apartment in and a sleek black company car.Now she was flying to New York with us, already texting me outfit options for tonight.Everything had happened so fast.If anyone had told me, while I lay bleeding on that ballroom floor, that I’d end up here remarried
Olivia's POV He stood there, towel low on his hips, water still glistening on his chest, and instead of horror or regret, Theodore Sinclair was smiling.“Well, well,” he said, that same deep baritone that had unraveled me all night wrapping around the words like silk. “Looks like fate has a very twisted sense of humor, Venus… or should I say, Olivia Sinclair.”My mouth went dry. “I don’t understand. Aren’t you supposed to be embarrassed? You just had sex with your nephew's wife!”“Ex-wife,” he corrected smoothly, stepping closer. “You’re divorced. You don’t belong to him anymore. And on the brighter side…” His eyes dragged down my naked body again, “The woman my nephew treated like trash is someone I definitely don’t want to lose. You see what you did to me last night? No woman has ever done that to me.”I scrambled off the bed, yanking the sheet with me to cover myself.“Alright, stop! This is insane! I feel so ashamed. I don’t know… I’m going to return your money, sir. All of it.
Olivia's POV Juliet has been following me around the house ever since I told her my plans, she hadn't even taken off her work clothes and had been giving me a lecture for the past two hours.“What the hell is your problem, Olivia? What has gotten into you!”“Can you calm down Juliet?”“Signing up on an exclusive hookup site? Are you insane?” She started pacing. “Even regular dating apps are risky. They're a lot of catfishs, stalkers, creeps, name it! This is a whole other level! No number, no face, no real name just ‘Mr. T’ and a blindfold? What if he’s an assassin? What if he’s part of some trafficking ring? Aren’t you watching the news? Crimes are skyrocketing!”Juliet…”“No! You’re not thinking straight. You just got out of the hospital, you're going through a divorce, your entire life is in pieces and your solution is to let a stranger pay to fuck you?”“Enough!” I shot to my feet, voice cracking the air. “Your tantrums are going to run me mad! I’m not a child, Juliet. I’m twenty
Olivia's POV “Yes! Yes, Liam, I’ll be your wife!”Bella screamed in excitement as he held out her left hand, fingers trembling theatrically as he slid the diamond onto her finger. “This is so beautiful,” Bella breathed, eyes shining with fake tears. “I never dreamed…”I stayed on my knees, cake smeared across my dress, divorce papers crumpled under me. “Liam… is this a prank? You divorce me on our fifth anniversary… and propose to my sister? So you’ve had eyes for her all along?”He turned to me slowly, lip curled.“If you were in my shoes, Olivia, would you have eyes for yourself?” He gestured at me like I was trash on the floor. “Just look at you. So fat and ugly. You think any man wants to wake up next to that every day?”“Bella is the change Nova Media needs”I swung my head toward my parents. They stood near the front table, their faces blank, it seemed like I was the only one shocked.“Mom? Dad? Did you know about this?”My father turned to me angrily.“We knew you couldn’t k
