Los Angeles.

Theo’s POV.

If she wanted me to do my worst, so be it.

Knowing the consequences, she still had the guts to tell me that.

Olivia had pushed me to my limits; otherwise, I would never have considered resorting to this.

But if she was going to keep my son away from me forever and mercilessly shove me away, should I just watch with my hands folded?

Bringing Dave back alone wasn’t what I had planned initially; however, she’d left me with no other choice.

But with time, he’ll gradually get used to my presence and forget the cunning woman who brainwashed him to hate me.

Or so I thought…

Every minute was filled with restlessness ever since I brought him back with me.

He threw tantrums everywhere and refused to have a conversation.

He’d embarrassed me again and again in front of the servants and bodyguards, to the point that they gave me questioning looks.

I wouldn’t be much surprised if they believed the words he said.

“You’re just a heartless kidnapper, Theo! You’ll never be m

Ethan’s POV.I frowned. Is Theo Wellington threatening me?What is he doing with Olivia’s phone?Where is she?She was supposed to be at the hospital, but she only showed up and left immediately. “Your threats won’t work on me…” I replied. “Olivia is now my wife, and that will never change.”I hung up and tossed the phone on the passenger’s seat, my hand shaking as I gripped the steering wheel. If only that statement were true. If only she were really my wife. The fact that her phone managed to end up with Theo doesn’t settle well with me. Olivia is not that kind of woman. She’s not with him.I assured myself, yet the rage roared. I had to park my car in a corner of the road to cool off for a while.Theo’s words echoed. I shook it off. Olivia is mine. She was never supposed to marry him. She was never supposed to have a history with him in the first place. For three years, I’d endured and waited. Something inside me, a flicker of hope, had always told me that her marriage would

Her gut-punching response traveled straight to my heart. She thinks I’m crazy. She doesn’t believe me. I’ve already let the cat out of the bag, so there’s no turning back. I tried my best— observed the utmost self-control to hide my feelings. But it burned, too suffocating. If I didn’t let it out, I might turn into someone else entirely. A new me that I will no longer recognize. “I’m not joking…” I rose to my feet, closing the distance between us, slowly- carefully. “Ever since you left five years ago, your thoughts have always occupied my mind. I won’t get rest- my heart won’t find peace until you come back to me.”Her expression shifted. “Leaving Ethan will cost you nothing,” I went on, reading her expression, calculating her body language. “It’s not like this hasn’t been done before.”Her stance wavered. And then she stiffened, her body turning rigid, almost defensive. “Stop this nonsense, Theo-”“It’s not nonsense.” I stopped in front of her. “I like you, Olivia. I can’t cont

Carefully, she cleaned up the wound with a chemical that stung. And then she dabbed something onto the wound before covering it up with a plaster.Throughout the process, my eyes were fixated on one thing… Her face. At some point, I found myself inching away, yet she commanded me to stay still.“It will no longer hurt once I’m done. Just be patient,” She’d said.Even if there was pain, I didn’t feel it. I couldn’t. Lost in a trance, my heart trembled, and I couldn’t force myself to look away as she carefully treated the wound.“Thank goodness it’s a small injury.” She sighed, putting the tools and bottles back inside the box. “But still, you must avoid getting it infected. Once again, I apologize for my craziness. I did it without thinking.”My fingers wandered up, and I touched the place. It was no longer bleeding. The plaster was solid. Was this what it took to make her take down her facade?Unbelievable.Just when I thought she’d completely changed. As it turned out, she’d just bu

A flicker of fear. And then her expression paled.Olivia stuttered, “Y-You, what are you up to?”I didn’t stop walking until her back hit the opposite wall. What I was doing? If only someone could tell me.All I knew was that her vulnerability and fear made me feel good somehow. Not in a psychotic way, but more of a satisfaction. “B-Back off, Theo. Or I might do something you won’t like!” She warned, pressing her back to the wall. “Remember your position. Remember my status.”I scoffed.Hearing her remind me that she was married irritates me. Thank goodness my sanity is still intact. Otherwise, who cares whether she’s married or not?How dare she even remarry?“Theo, I swear if you lay your filthy hands on me, your grandfather must hear of it!” She stuttered. “So stop-”“Right. Grandpa has always protected you.” I dropped my palms on the wall, caging her in between. “How interesting that you’re always boasting about that. Right now, you’re my only problem. Because of you, my own gra

“That’s a lame excuse for not owning up to your crime…” Olivia balled her fists. “Dave will never wander off willingly, knowing the impact it will have on others.”“Oh, really?” I raised a brow.Did she forget what happened months ago?Didn’t the little guy follow me back to L.A. willingly?“Well, it is different now!” Olivia defended, seemingly aware of the meaning behind my question. “Dave will never repeat that. Even last time was a mistake because he thought you were a good person.”“I am a good person,” I corrected her. “You’re just blinded by hatred and grudge and fail to see the goodness in me.”Olivia scoffed. “Bantering with you is insignificant, Theo! Just bring him out, or only one of us will leave this office today.”I chuckled at her words, amazed at the audacity. What can she really do to me?Returning to my swivel chair, I sat down and picked up my phone.“What are you doing?” She strode to my side. “You’re the most heartless man. Even if it’s not you who stole my son,

  • Divorced To Steal His Heart    210. Avoiding Drama

Theo’s POV.I was speechless for a moment. When she called me a while ago and asked to see me, I couldn’t believe my ears. I’d thought of so many reasons why Olivia would want to see me. I’d looked forward to seeing her in my office.I’d expected anything from her, but this!“Cat got your tongue?” She gripped my collar tightly. “You managed to fool Grandpa, do you really think that you can fool everyone? Bring him out right now, Theo, or you won’t like the outcome.”My secretary was at the door, watching everything unfold. She squeezed my collar, rumpling my shirt in the process. Well, this is embarrassing. “You can’t just barge into someone’s office and attack them, Ma’am.” The secretary came forward, trying to pull her away. “I’ll get the security if you don’t let go.”“Leave us alone…” I dismissed her. “And close the door on your way out.”“But, Mr. Wellington-” The secretary looked confused, glancing from me to Olivia. “What about this lady?”“It’s not a big deal.”“Not a big d
