Chapter 2

Alina did not leave with them. After the meal ended, she and Caitlyn turned around and went to the bathroom.

Seeing that Alina just stood up and left, Bucky also coldly withdrew his gaze, lifted his feet, and walked out. Loic followed behind, not even daring to breathe loudly.

Alina - the person they had been looking for all this time- suddenly became the director of Circuit Group tonight and appeared in front of him, acting as if nothing had happened, calmly greeting Bucky.

But why had he never noticed that Alina was so courageous before?

"Miss Alina." As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, Caitlyn looked at her with a worried look.

Caitlyn was a close assistant and also the person that Mr. Claude, Alina's father, sent to stay by Alina's side and help her. Of course, Caitlyn knew very well about her and Bucky's breakup, and tonight, the two of them suddenly met, of course, Caitlyn would be worried about Alina.

Alina turned off the water. After wiping the water off her hands, she reached out to stroke Caitlyn's long hair: "Worried about me?"

After saying that, she smiled slightly: "It's okay."

Caitlyn was stunned for a moment. After reacting, she breathed a sigh of relief and followed Alina out.

The driver had been waiting for them outside the hotel for a long time. When Alina got out of the elevator, she originally thought that Bucky's group had left first, but unexpectedly met him in the living room outside the lobby.

She looked up at them. Brooklyn was no longer there; only Bucky and Loic remained.

Oh, then there was no need to greet them anymore.

Alina withdrew her gaze and walked straight ahead.

She had just reached the door when suddenly a cold female voice rang out from behind her: "Why are you here?"

This voice was not unfamiliar to Alina. Having lived in the Ethelred house for three years, it could be said that from morning to night, she would hear a sentence or two from this person.

During those three years, Eloise hated Alina very much. She insulted her at every opportunity and tried every way to badmouth Alina.

Eloise had always told everyone that Alina was crazy about her brother.

Eloise's hatred for Alina over the years was still the same. She strode in front of Alina, raising her hand to slap Alina straight in the face.

However, before the slap could land on Alina's face, her hand was firmly held.

Eloise raised her head and faced Alina's cold expression: "Hit me? Eloise, you are not qualified."

After speaking, Alina raised her left hand and slapped Eloise hard on the face: "You reminded me, you still owe me a slap."

A "slap" sound rang out. Alina slapped her without mercy.

After Loic, who was not far away, heard their conversation, he subconsciously looked towards Bucky.

His expression was extremely cold. He immediately hung up the phone, lifted his feet, and walked straight towards Alina and Eloise.

Eloise was stunned by Alina's slap. Seeing Bucky coming over, she covered her face and cried loudly: "Brother, you hit me. You just hit me."

Alina looked at Bucky, raised her eyebrows, and said with a smile: “That’s right, I just hit her. What’s the matter, does CEO Ethelred want to fight back?”

Bucky had never been provoked like this before. He looked at Alina standing in front of him. Unexpectedly, she dared to scold him?

His expression calmed down, and he was about to speak when Alina spoke first: “If I don’t take the initiative to cause trouble for you, then you shouldn’t take the initiative to provoke me. If you’re in a hurry, I still have a lot of information about the Ethelred family in my hands.”

After Alina finished speaking, she immediately stopped laughing and looked at Bucky coldly: “You should manage the people around you well.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Alina turned around and left, leaving Bucky standing there in a daze and Eloise trembling with anger.

Looking at Alina's back, Eloise angrily wanted to chase after her, but was stopped by Bucky.

She turned her head to look at Bucky: "Brother?"

Bucky looked at her coldly: "Don't cause trouble for her."

Eloise wanted to refute, but when she raised her head and saw Bucky's eyes, she was stunned for a moment, feeling a little wronged: "It's obvious that she hit me..."

Bucky let her go, raised his head to look at Alina, who had already reached the door, and he frowned slightly.

In the past three years, Alina had become much tougher.

Alina just walked straight to the car, not even bothering to turn back to look at the two people standing behind her.

Just like Ingrid said, he wasn't worthy.

Caitlyn glanced at Alina, who was sitting beside her. After getting in the car, she didn't say a word, just tilted her head to look out the window, her eyes cold, clearly in a bad mood. 

"Miss Alina." 

In the extremely quiet car, Caitlyn called Alina. 

Alina turned her head to glance at Caitlyn, seeing her hesitant and speechless, she couldn't help but smile: "Did I scare you just now?" 

Caitlyn shook her head: "Are you determined to stay in this city for the next half year?" 

Alina raised her eyebrows: "What's wrong? Are you afraid that I'll come back?" 

Alina's words with that attitude were too obvious. 

Caitlyn: "That's not it, it's just that if you stay here, I'm afraid you'll be bullied." 

Alina laughed: "Don't worry, how many people can bully me?" 

She was too stupid to let the Ethelred family trample on her before; now she's awakened. If they dare to touch her, she will dare to fight back. 

Caitlyn still wanted to say something, but looking at the bright smile on Alina's lips, she finally didn't say anything more.

That's right, as the beloved daughter of the Rojas family, who dares to touch Alina?

Eloise was slapped by her. Bucky not only did not retaliate, but also warned her not to touch Alina.
