An hour later, they were done and I was ready to leave. Nikolai guided them out of his office and closed the door behind him. I heard a familiar click and I knew he had locked it but I wasn’t sure.
Was he going to kill me?
I chose to play dumb and walk to the door to try and open it. After jiggling the handle a few times, it wouldn’t open. I turned around and he was right behind me. He put his hand above my head and leaned in.
" You wish it was you screaming my name, don't you? " He asked while locking me in place with his gaze.
My cheeks flared as his question was spot on. It was a rhetorical question but I felt the need to defend myself. He had seen me after all.
