Impromptu meeting

Salvatore's POV

The looks on Eduardo's face had already told me that indeed there was a problem. I looked at the two bundles of joy in front of me and I sighed, I wish I could postpone whatsoever it is that's wrong now.

Sofia and Enzo turned in my direction when they saw me stand. I wasn't done with my food, but for Eduardo to come even when he saw me eating, it must be a serious issue.

“You both go to bed when you're done eating. See you tomorrow” I said to them.

Enzo wanted to nod but paused before he looked up at me,

“Father?”

“Hm Enzo”

“Can Sofia tell me a bedtime story since you won't be available together?” He asked with puppy eyes. He was trying his luck, he waited for my reply, and I wonder what made him always try when I always give him a negative response.

“Okay,” I said and turned to leave, but I could hear the excitement from behind. A small smile appeared on my lips.
