Prologue

"Stop! Stop hurting my mom!" My little fist kept pounding at his thigh.

"You shut up! Or I'm going f*ck you until you're dead!" My stepfather threatened me as he grabbed my face with his large hands.

"No! Please, not her. Do whatever you want with me. Just don't touch my daughter." My mother pleaded. Why is she begging? Why is she letting this drunk man hurt her anytime he wanted.

"Good! Very good!" My stepfather responded, pleased by how mother cried as she begs him.

My life has always been tough. The kind of life that can drive a person into the loony bin. But not me. I'm not born to be weak. I'm not born to bow down and cower in front of anyone.

"No! You promised me! You promised you will never touch my daughter! I never complained! I did everything you asked. Please!" I wanted to laugh at my mother's face and say, you're already a too late mother.

"Shut up!" Bloodied lips were all my mother got for trying to save me. She didn't even notice that I was not crying. I was watching them as they fight. "I feed both of you, I own both of you!" Same words I hear every time he would ask me to sit on the bed while he stands in front of me.

My mother tried very hard to save me. She accepted all the punches, all the kicks, all the slaps, and all the insults. But he wouldn't listen. Why won't he listen?

When he entered the room where he threw me in, the next thing that happened drove my mom to insanity.
