Chapter 32

STELLA

I knew I shouldn't have dared him. But I was ready to push almost every limits, just to put myself to test.

I'd barely said everything I had deep down. A lot was still bottled up inside of me but as my eyes met his, I could see the darkness and venom in his beautifully carved eyes.

His eyes darkened and glistened in an unidentifiable expression.

“You never listen, Blaze." He rasped with a little bit of roughness in his tone as he leaned closer to where I sat.

Chapter 33: Lust Extremely. STELLA The mail officer at the Academy had just left my desk, after dropping a letter that was meant for me. My eyes narrowed in surprise and shock the moment he dropped the shiny brown envelope on my table. “Are you sure it belongs to me sir?" I asked but as soon as I spotted my name on the back of the envelope, I realized I didn't need any other answer from him. I opened it slowly, without knowing what to expect. My eyes found his name: Dylan Lindsey. My breath hitched as I dropped the letter. I didn't read it yet. Tears gathered in my eyes… not because I feared him. Not because of him. I recalled her. How he and Taylor had mocked me after her death. That was the last time I'd seen any of them. “Hello, Stella. I hope you're doing fine. I wish you all the best." My eyes ran through the words. I didn't care whatever his motive was. Dylan and I were two parallel lines that would never meet and until I got that thing I real

His eyes darkened and glistened in an unidentifiable expression. “You never listen, Blaze." He rasped with a little bit of roughness in his tone as he leaned closer to where I sat. “You heard me, Rhys. Dri—" I swallowed it. His eyes fixed on me for too long, as if he was waiting for an exact moment to strike. “I can tolerate everything but not when it comes to you, Blaze." His palm grazed my thighs slowly. My skin reacted to his soft touch. My lips parted slightly and I realized how fast the control was slipping out of my palm. "Don't call yourself stupid before me.” His eyes pressed on mine before he audaciously slid those long fingers of his beneath my dress. "RHYS—”It was har

Chapter 31: “No one touches what is mine" RHYS.A few words with Marcus weren't enough. I begged my mind to stay composed, and not carve a punch mark in his face.“You know one thing I hate?" Fucking nutjob! He still stood nonchalantly. I grabbed his shoulder, my thumb finding the end of his collarbone. “Now, that's how you behave around me. I used to be D’Ace for a reason, you fucker!”I couldn't help it. Seeing him felt like an extra charge to everything I'd ever thought about an evil man like him. "Plea—”"Now, answer my question." I barked at him. " Want to know what I hate the most?" I questioned without patience. “Wh—what?" His knees fell to the ground. I applied more force on my thumb, directing more energy on that spot till he cried loudly. Yeah! That was what I wanted. The cry that tore from his throat was raw, painful, and animal. “Rhys… pl—”I pressed ha

Chapter 30: Ruling The Lion's Den STELLA I walked into my father’s office after wrestling with the question of whether he even deserved my time. I knew the answer, yet I pushed myself to see him. Rhys had tried to talk me out of it after I told him about Marcus's invitation but I insisted. I wanted to see him and listen to the lies he'd tell again. Every step down the corridor to his office felt heavier than the last. Heads turned. Conversations dipped into whispers. I caught fragments of my name floating through the air like smoke. His secretary looked up as I passed, eyes wide, lips parting as if she wanted to stop me. She didn’t. Good. Because nothing would have stopped me. My fingers curled around the handle. The metal felt cold… almost warning. I pushed the door open. He came into view, dropp

Chapter 29: The Underlying Desire: Revenge, Lust, Meaning. STELLA I lost my mind again—for the same man I'd stayed away from, for two good months. It looked like it was simple but God knew it was the hardest thing for me. Even as I had stayed away, to protect my sanity and face, I had spent each day digging up a thousand and one reasons not to give him attention. At the guesthouse, I hadn't told him when Sophia came banging on the door, asking what was between us. She was his girlfriend but I'd smirked at her that day. “Nothing. What kind of girlfriend would suspect her boyfriend is cheating?" I hated her. But I hated him even more, for the things he kept away from me. Right as soon as I returned from the gym yesterday, I headed for a shower but before the water ran, my phone rang. I carefully stepped out of the bat

Chapter 28 :A Sucker For You RHYS The next day was a bright Saturday. I hadn't slept all night, I stayed up. She wouldn't leave my mind, even as I tried to stroll around my house. My mind was crowded with thoughts— but I had hope. Somehow, I had realized I couldn't take forever to make amends. She still had me in mind. I watched her jog out of the guesthouse in yoga pants and a sports bra. She was probably headed to the gym. I didn't think twice before dashing out of my compound in a gym wear and headed to the same gym down the street. It was an estate gym, obviously filled with many celebrities, politicians and people of high class who loved like normals among those of their kind. My stomach twisted at the thought of her being exposed to those kind of people. At a freaking gym. I jogged into the gym, few minutes after she jogged in. In my fiv
