In a Hotel in the same city with flowers in full bloom and breeze carrying a floral fragrance of them but Maya Rose was unable to admire it’s beauty rather the sight before her was suffocating her.
The blue moon light was illuminating itself on the familiar silhouettes she would spot anywhere in a crowded place. They were hugging , kissing and the moon light made them look so Perfect! The perfect couple that she has been looking for from him.
She used to ask him but he denied it every time. They had stopped spending time together because they were busy with their respective jobs. Even then she found time to squeeze in her busy schedule but he was just busy for lunch and dinners. He was busy with her. He was busy spending dinner with her while she was home all alone. He always came home late because he was sleeping with her.
Why didn’t she see this sooner? Was she really that naïve and stupid? The signs were there and evident but she chose to ignore them. She sure was the most stupidest person in the world and she deserves a Grammy award for that.
They were supposed to spend their third year anniversary together. They have been together for three years and just like that he drained it down. How could he?
She actually thought he was going to propose to her tonight which is way he asked her to come over to such an expensive and spectacular hotel. She had thought he has planned a candle lit dinner in a room and later have a romantic night together. She didn’t expect to find her boyfriend and his ex girlfriend tangled in a dance as old as time itself.
Their screams of pleasure turned into horror when they saw her standing at the door. To save herself from more pain Maya slammed the door and ran off.
She heard shouts from her boyfriend calling her to wait as she approached the elevator. Wait for what? More lies? What was he going to say? That’s it’s not what she is thinking after catching them having sex? No it was not going to happen again.
What has she done to deserve this? After so much dedication and devotion what has she done to the universe to deserve this? All she ever wanted was a loving boyfriend who would fight against the odds just to be with her but she got a cheating bastard instead.
She swore to never love again. Love. Love is such a foolish thing. She should have known better than have so much high hopes on it. Who would want her anyway? She’s big. Everything about her is surplus. She’s just a joke.
A big pathetic joke!

Noor Sebastian barged into the white homey house with four paper bags in her hands. She was breathing hysterical after getting the emergency call from her BBF stating that she needed her.
She brushed off a string of her wet hair from her forehead still panting. “Where is she?” she asked the woman who was in the living room reading a magazine. She wasn’t looking more than fifty.
The woman sighed placing the magazine besides her. “She is in her room. She has locked herself in there ever since she came back. She has refused to open it even after I have practically begged her to. She hasn’t even eaten and she’s a bloody mess.”
Noor bit her lower lip in worry. “Its okay aunt I will look at it. It can’t be bad this time,” she settles the bags in her arms and made her way upstairs to her friends room. She stood in front of the door and gave it a rough knock. “Hey quit whining and open the darn door before I break it. I bought your favorite strawberries with chocolate coat, a bottle of champagne and orchids. I think you might n….”
The door opened revealing a pinky nose and red eyes Maya with a bird nest hair.
“Jesus Christ! You look horrible!” Noor gasped.
Maya sniffled. “Really? You bought my favorite?” she ignored her rude introduction smiling at her.
Noor made her way into the purple and pink bedroom.
She sat down on the purple couch near the sliding window and stretched her arms finally been able to breathe. She glanced over to her friend who was sitting cross legged on the bed still mopping.
She let out a snort and made her way to sit next to her, she gave her side hug caressing her arm. “Okay tell me what happened? Why are you looking like this? You look like a disaster just stroked you.”
“Of course a disaster happened. As if the universe and all the gods of the galaxy are angry with me! Look at my dress. It’s all stained with drinks and food. Moreover I smell horrible. A waiter mistakenly tripped and the tray of macaroni cheese he was holding to serve fell on me, on the train a mother poured her baby’s hot milk on me. I almost got scorched by the hot liquid and not only that my heel broke and it rained. I didn’t even have an umbrella!” she bellowed between sobs.
Noor gave her a sympathetic look. “Now! Now princess tell me the whole story.”
Maya withdrew from the hug and narrated the entire story to her friend who was listening to her attentively. Once she was done she glanced at her friend to find her grinning like she just won a lottery.
“Why…why are you smiling like this? I just told you my misfortune and you’re smiling.”
Noor hissed at her and cupped her chubby cheeks. “Maya my baby! This is a great time to celebrate! Finally that imbecile did something magnificent and remarkable!” Noor exclaimed in pure joyousness.
She looked like she just got stuck by lightning. What she has been praying not to happen has happened. Her worst fear was coming true. One thing she has been trying to avoid all her life. No matter how much she cried it was never going to change the fact that the test was positive.“Maybe….maybe it is wrong. It doesn’t work,” she cried throwing it across the room.“That’s what you have been saying with the last twenty tests Maya. You’re positive. Stop being in denial Maya. He deserves to know.”“No he doesn’t! I can take care of myself and everything else.”“We know that Maya. The whole world knows you can but keeping him in the dark won’t help anyone. Besides you will know how he feels about this if you don’t tell him. This is not only your mess but his as well. It takes two to tangle in a dance as old as time itself. It’s his child you are carrying and he deserves
She was getting ready for the anniversary party when her mother walked into the room with a paper bag.“Honey this is for you,” she handed her the bag and sat down on her bed.“Awww mommy! You bought me a dress and shoes. This is beautiful!” she exclaimed examined the clothes.“No honey I didn’t get you these. A post man just delivered those and said they were for you. Maybe your man sent them for you,” she smugly smiled and Maya blushed deeply and tried to steady her beating heart. It was pounding only one name.Christian. Christian. Christian.“I will go change into this,” she told her mother who chortled at her.“Go on! Afterall it came from the man of your dreams. Finally! God I thank you. Finally you have sent a good man for my darling daughter,” she cheerfully said. &
Noor’s eyes were glinting with glee her head in between her hands staring at her friend with a big grin on her face.“Anniversary party! You will be going to his ancestral mansion for the anniversary party!” she chanted, Mara hit the back of her head softly. “Hey what is that for? It hurts you know.”“If you are going to keep on zoning out now and then on me then I will have to do this to wake you up. Noor you are focused on the wrong thing.”“Girl the guy asked you to be his girlfriend and surprisingly you said yes. I actually thought you were going to say no. Fake or not at least you will get to kiss him anytime you want and desire. Now tell me what are you going to wear for the party?”“Noor the party is in a week’s time. I have plenty of time besides I can just wear one of my dresses.”Noor gave her a snarl. “Yeah I am pretty sure Christian isn’t looking for a g
Home? This house was so massive. She was awestruck by the exterior and the interior views of it. The décor was spot on and everything was posh and sparkling clean. She could even see her reflection on the shiny floor tiles. She was afraid to step in with her muddy shoes. Afraid to dirty the entire place. What was even better was while it was raining cats and dogs outside the house was warm and cozy.“I have only one pair of these as I normally don’t have any visitors except for my family but they can’t be classified as visitors, can they?” he smiles giving her his pair of slippers to change into. He knelt down and helped her out of her heels.“Thank you,” she whispers looking around the house. “So you stay here alone?”“Yeah I never really thought I need to stay with anyone. Not until now,” he glance at her especially her big beautiful eyes.“Meaning?” she asked w
She excused herself to go to the washroom after that. She was so evil. Chantelle was a she-devil. She honestly thought she has grown up and had matured but she was so wrong. The sole reason of inviting her this party was to embarrass her and bring up the past issues. With tears in her eyes she took out her phone from her purse and texted her friend. She sent the message and shoved the phone back into her purse. She looked at her face in the mirror and gently fixed her make up. She took a deep breath and walked back to the party.“Hey Maya come and join us. We are playing truth or dare,” Chantelle grinned at her mischievously.Maya knew that look very well and she knew there was a catch nevertheless she couldn’t say no so she just sat back right on her seat and tried her best to smile and look like she was enjoying herself.💞💞💞Meanwhile on the other side of the City Christian was having dinner with his family and the las
“He really smiled with me Noor. He talked to me and everything was so perfect like we have known each other for a long time. He isn’t as bad as I pictured him Noor,” she kept talking and talking about it and her friend’s smile was reaching her ears as she listened to her.“Awww! I knew you loved him,” she cooed blinking her eyes.“Crush. I have a crush on him big difference,” Maya emphasized.“Crush, love there’s no difference. You love him and he might as well love you the same. Girl, he asked you to have lunch with him and the last time I heard that he took a woman out for lunch except his sister is…never. Zero.”Maya chuckled. “He is very handsome though. I would die to have him take me out. For me it’s his eyes and smile, I would lose myself in those misty grey eyes. God that smile with dimples, I wish I could just have him for myself. And
