Lavina – POV

"What's with you being so gloomy?" Alice asked.

"How can I not be? I'm worried Eden will hurt Archer," I replied as Archer and his team went to capture Eden.

"Have faith. Archer won't resort to curse magic anymore. He'll capture Eden," Alice assured me.

"I just want our family to find peace again and feel normal," I added. Alice placed her hand on mine, gently squeezing it to assure me that things would be okay.

"You know, my maid found a photo album while cleaning my manor," Alice said.

"Your Dragonland Manor?" I asked. She nodded and then showed me a picture of her parents and mine. As she slowly flipped to the next page, I saw a man who looked like Jacob.

"Wait!" I startled Alice with my scream.

"Goodness, woman, you nearly broke my ear," she hissed. I just stared at the picture.

“I know this man,” I said. “He is Jacob.” Alice looked at me as if I had gone crazy.
