Chapter Thirty-Five

After giving him the bare bones of her harrowing experiences, Chloe used her GPS to tell Jim her location and then settled down a few yards off the road beneath an oversized bush to wait for him.  She felt cold and alone in the darkness. 

With nothing to occupy her mind, it was practically impossible to keep thoughts of Tristan out of her head.  Her body tingled all over as she lost herself in the reminiscence of their lovemaking.  She touched her cheek as she recalled the feel of his solid chest against it. She could almost hear the beat of his heart in her ear.
