Time Travel Enigma

"I - finally - have made an excellent mind baffling invention", exclaimed George Milton his not brushed long wavy red hair were giving him that crazy scientist look. Some of his hairs were turning grey. Moreover, he hasn't shaved his beard and the mustache undisciplined lay scattered all over his lower face and some of them were grey too.

He turned to look at his Boss's son Valentine Crimson, who looked unimpressed.

"Don't be that unimpressed, Young Crimson. I am sure to earn your interest in this invention of mine", Scientist George gave a friendly smile, but behind his unbrushed red hair and not shaved beard it only made him come out creepier.

"So tell me, does it even work, or your boasting is all that this invention is about" Valentine gave the scientist a satiric smile, he sneered with his blue eyes expecting a considerably valid reply.

Valentine didn't want to come here in the first place but his father tricked him into coming there. So, it was already obvious he was irked and to 22-year-old Valentine the scientist was too much of a crazy person and his creepy looks always made him not want to talk to him. But this wasn't the same with his father; Scientist George Milton has been working under his father since the time he wasn't even born.

George never put his effort into simple tasks but on those which were considered beyond normal people's dreams. He worked on projects that people considered impossible or crazy and the surprising thing is that crazily he succeeded some of the times though not all. His father was into the curiosity of the scientist's mind and the inventions of his which could surpass normal human thinking capacity.

This time he promises to have invented a time machine which he called, "Teleporter Science".

Scientist George assistant Gabriel gave Valentine VR glasses to wear.

To which Valentine made a joke of, "Don't tell me you made a Jurassic park 360° and are calling it an invention" he gave out a satiric laugh," Why don't you ask Mr. Henderson Crimson to shift you in some 3D video making quarters. I am sure he will be surprised to know one of his favorite scientists is showing interest in virtuality, EVEN I am quite surprised" he laughed while the VR glasses squirreled in his hands.

"Looks like Mr. Valentine Crimson is in the mood for jokes" George who was definitely bothered by his joke went along knowing Valentine is going to be the next Crimson taking over after his father and he will need to be on good terms to keep getting funds.

Valentine puts on the VR glasses, "So, what now. Planning on playing some movie" he toyed with the scientist's patience.

"I will be sending my assistant Gabriel to all the places which you will be able to see through the VR glasses and when it has aroused your interest, we will plan to where you would like to go" came the polite reply from Scientist George who was confident in what he had invented.

But to this came tsk-tsk an uninterested sound from Valentine while he scratched his temple. He was making it too obvious how uninterested he was.

George, who has known Valentine for a long time already knew he has always behaved like this around him as he considers him crazy, he expected him to change his views towards his inventions with time but it was yet far from there. George, though bothered by all the ill behavior of Valentine, wanted to make Valentine soon realize how wrong he was and how big of an achievement he had made.

"Set time to 1 m.y.a (million years ago) and place to Africa" came a quick order from the Scientist George to his subordinates.

Valentine couldn't see what they were doing but he could hear the click-clack, the sound coming from the fans from running a lot of machines.

Soon, he could see in his VR. The Scientist's mentioned assistant Gabriel was standing in the middle of an African forest. Some plants were weird to him as he couldn't name what they were. Maybe, these are the plants which have gone extinct by the time Valentine thought this to himself. Gabriel ran towards bushes to hide himself there. Valentine looked around, turning his neck right and left with the wonder in his eyes , looking at the sky, the ground and at the species of plants and insects which were unnamed to him. Gabriel entered there without clothes. Valentine thought to himself that one could not time travel with their clothes on.

"So what do you say Mr. Valentine Crimson" Scientist George asked.

Valentine who was still reluctant to believe that someone has invented time travel in 2022 meanwhile to others the concept would sound like a fantasy movie plot. Moreover, he was more reluctant to the fact that it was the mad scientist George's invention, the man who has more failures than success than any other scientist he knows. Though his inventions were peculiar, the nature of the invention doesn't count for him.

"You want me to tell my points only by seeing one time travel" came the awaited reply.

"No, no, of course not" a wicked smile took over the scientist's face. Scientist already looked like a half psychopath and that smile completed the other half.
