Chapter Twelve
His large body lay atop of her in silent horror. What had he done? He knew for a fact that his seed was powerful when it connected with the egg of a human. The odds of him impregnating her were extremely high. What was he to do now? It was too soon for her to have his baby. Far too soon even if she knew the truth about him; which, of course, she didn’t. There were procedures to follow; Manthellan customs to uphold.
He cursed himself for allowing things to get out of hand. He’d only intended on a little foreplay for their mutual satisfaction. Entering her wasn’t in the plan. He’d allowed himself to get lost in lust and love. Now, he had to face the consequences.

Tristan used the silence in the car to think about what could be done about their situation. He realized too late that he’d acted poorly after sex. Chloe took a deep breath before knocking on Jim’s door. She’d stopped at the pharmacy and picked up the morning after pill.
